Can you tell me why would you want to do this? What happened for you to know to remove this?
    Thanks

I can never remove the electrode leads without damaging them

Any tips when the leads are stuck on?

They are always stuck when new, or never before removed. I found using a pair of long nose piers, positioned just below the push on connector, around the electrode stump. levering upwards and twisting the connector, at the same time. I have never used WD40, seems ok but you need to clean up afterwards.

Doesn't look tgat easy to remove spark leads and rectification. Have you loosened the hex to allow it to move forward to get burner out as it looks loose. I can imagine those leads snapping after a few years

I don’t get on with Worcester boilers for the way everything is so complicated to work on

The new design with these two electrodes wrapped in the same rubber… they made it even more difficult to remove. Absolute rubbish design. The amount of strength that is necessary to use with pliers and screwdrivers until the bloody electrodes are disconnected is incredible.

    Makes no sense to me.
Most of the time the rubber gas pipe needs changing so just disconnect at gas valve swing whole fan assembly and top section out.

This is the new ERP, not the i Junior model. Different fan assembly.

Don't think that swings out like the older one's usual wb not designed for engineers to work. No wonder they are not liked

Typical Worcester. They’ll never learn. They could have relocated those electrodes to the front of the heat exchanger. But oh no, they leave them in a position that’s an absolute pig to squeeze your hand into, and still use rubber that welds itself to the electrodes. No wonder I don’t know a single installer who fits their shite anymore.

I lift the electrodes and gasket out with the clamp plate. Awful design.

Seen this, it is very intimidating to service. Reason why most of the Worcester have worked on are not service correctly, because some Engineer has no clue where to start from and end up shredding your hand. Really bad design
