    I've done full strip down service on this yesterday, pulled cables out of the fan plug as it was so seized up, ended up digging plug out, put the cables back in then socket.. Turned out other way around, E214 fault, it's a 240V supply so I was happy to see that only fan broke ;)

    If most have done a few of these compacts, then stripping them down is quite easy and straight forward, contrary to what most seem to think about them. (love the negativity tho "being a Worcester"). I have see other manufacturers where some parts of a service can be awkward too if you are not familiar with them. you don't really need the special tool as you say, most use a similar type singular blade :) "tip" to stop the electrode seal from falling out, pop a dab of grease in the seating before fitting it. the burner can go in any way. (did you clean that bit of debris out the burner? @12:34) the bearing plate is designed to stop the formation of condensation inside the air box due to the warm/cold air scenario. @15:48 the black gas tube is under negative pressure, so a sniffer will not pick up a leak due to the suction. for newbies / trainees watching - the APS (air pressure switch) as mentioned is not actually that, it is a FGBS (flue gas blockage switch) so if the flue outlet becomes restricted / blocked - back pressure will increase and break the switch as it is connected to the flue gas side. the best way to remove the syphon I find, if it is near to discharge, try and wiggle it so it does, then pull the black rubber tube forward from the bottom outlet connection, bend it up so it also forms a seal, and remove the syphon. loved the video tho, very detailed and informative throughout, I'm sure many will learn from your advice and knowledge. keep up the good work.

Once you've done it and passed, go and work for a firm (preferably social housing/council) where you'll get a wealth of experience. Great video as always. I just wondered how you priced for this. I charge £90 for a full strip down sevices and system check. I know the cost of all these seals would add up. I feel if i told the customer its say for instance £180 for all seals and new electrodes etc that they would just go else where. I know online a service is offered at £65 i have no idea how they can actually strip down a bouler and do a good job. So just wondered how you are able to to replace all these parts without scaring the customer away?

    • @cputilitysolutions

      2 screws at the bottom and 2 green clips 👍🏽

    • @ferrworxeinside3985
      @ferrworxeinside3985 ปีที่แล้ว

      The two screws at the bottom take off the control panel cover. The 3 screws behind take off the control panel itself once you have pushed the said green clips behind there is just wires. No other screw etc to open the front casing. At the top of the boiler the two clips seem to be holding in the stainless steel flue casing. I don't think this is a diy job. Got quoted £165 as it's classed as a boiler repair apart from british gas who advised book a next day boiler service and removing of debris will be included fixed price of £99.

    Nice job mate. How many cuts did you get, and how many times did you swear. That was a few quid in parts you replaced there, a lot of customers want a service, but don’t want to pay the money to have serviceable parts replaced, as they think it’s under warranty and should be free. Pay the money and you will have a proper job done, not as some people do a poke and go service.

    • @cputilitysolutions
