it's not cheating if it's Bioware's shitty storytelling which forces you to move on or EA's money hungry tactics that make you move on cause you don't even know if your romance is still alive
Liara knows everything apart from facts that could be useful like Asari hiding a beacon on Thessia. The knowledge of all crushes and cheats that Shepard does are just more important 😂
I felt so bad when I did this lmao. I romanced her in ME1 but when I found out you could romance Tali in ME2, Liara genuinely disappeared from my mind until I got to Illium
@@er7776 in my case I wanted to romance Tali on the first game, but since you can't, Liara was second best. Ash may be a good friend, but her attitude towards other species were terrible.
Personally I don’t really think that cheating on Kaidan or Ashley is considered “cheating”. It’s more like moving on because they don’t support you 😂😂😂 edit:This is my first and only comment that reached 1000+ likes. Thank you guys 🥰🥰🥰
When my femshep romanced Kaidan in ME1, I chose to romance Thane in ME2, and then in ME3 I romanced Kaidan back after Thane died. I preferred this Kaidan romance route. Still I REALLY HATED when Kaidan said “I understand why you cheated,” 😤
@@yutingsooi5691 lol right?! Realistically, Kaiden/Ashley/Liara and Shep slept together once as far as we saw, it’s unclear if any of the ME1 romances became an actual relationship. Shep dies, and a whole two years pass. ME1 lovers move on with their lives and then when Shep comes back, Kaiden/Ashley don’t support you and practically dump you in 2, Liara even states she’s moved on. How is that cheating? I romance Kaiden then go with Garrus for a bit of spicy drama in 3 and shut Kaiden down with his Bs accusations lol.
The best outcome, I found out, is to avoid romancing Kaidan in ME1, the get with Thane in ME2. Then in ME3, you can start a relationship with Kaidan. This way, Kaiden doesn't give you bs about cheating in the hospital. You can even make out with Thane at the beginning of 3 and it won't overlap with Kaiden. Moreover, even if you are with Kaidan, you still get the touching scene with Thane's videos in the Citadel DLC, when FemShep cries. Ultimately, both romances seem more natural this way: Kaiden and you always kept it professional during ME1 despite having feelings for each other (the game basically forces the romance, just gotta renegade him during the last conversation). Then you met Thane, he died and you rekindled with Kaidan in the end. Pretty satisfying.
That can actually be an option in the LOTSB dlc. There's an option saying no hard feelings, which is just another way of saying let's give each other some space. Shepard has their mission to focus on, and Liara has all that information to delve into. So yeah, I'd class that as a break
Literally made a save right before the Joker portion just so I could activate Garrus' scene, go through Joker's portion, then reloaded after the achieve so I'd still be faithful.
Also Big Dan, the way most Bioware youtubers get a bunch of footage (e.g. all the different jealousy dialogue) is with savegame editors. Much faster than doing multiple full playthroughs to view one scene. Just a tip!
@@undyne1 when she confronts your infidelity in the Shadow Broker dlc, she says something to the effect of “you’re trying to replace a dying mans dead wife”. Very harsh
‘You’re itching to get under Tali’s helmet’ To be honest, that was my intent my first mass effect 1 play through, somehow ended up with Liara. I even told Liara I wasn’t interested in her many times. I don’t know if she thought I was playing hard to get or something.
Liara is Shepard’s most persistent love interest. Even if he went full on Captain America in the Mass Effect 4 teaser, She’s still searching for him. It’d be funny if the game comes along and everyone romances the Quarian again, instead of her.
Tali may be dead. Remember Asari live for centuries. Liara does look a little older in the trailer too. It's mentioned the Krogan also live long lives. But we only know of the Asari and Krogan living a significantly long time. Turian and Quarians may live just as long as humans.
Well Cerberus brought him back to life after being dead for 2 years. ME4 certainly looks like he’s going to be brought back. But I highly doubt Liara will recover his full body. I honestly think Liara will bring him back via cloning process. She probably recovered his DNA on one of his armor she found. And it’s been proven (in game) memories can be recovered via DNA strands, similar to Assassins Creed. Once he comes back, he has no memory of anything so that’s when you as the player take control and set him on a new PARAGON or RENEGADE. And over time he will slowly recover his memories etc etc. just my theory lol
@@gabrielcarrasco8414 maybe Shepard is just in his 70s or something or maybe because of the cybernetics cerberous gave him he can live a little long and ages slower than a regular human!
@@StudioNostalgik i mean the end of her ark is reclaiming her homeworld and synergy with the geth. Girl didnt get a chance to shine because end of games and they knew we all wanted to see inside the suit
It's bullshit that Liara thinks you're "cheating" on her in ME2. 1. You had one hookup once - doesn't really mean anything. 2. You had already gone your separate ways. 3. She shot you down when you tried to get back together. Monos are so weird and insecure.
@@Mortablunt Although I myself don't feel like Shep was cheating, we have to remember that when we first met Liara she was just a naive "child". She also haven't had any romantic relationship prior to Shep. I can sort of understand why she felt what she felt and thought. Feelings are a mess.
Another scene that caught my attention is if you're advancing on both Liara and Tali and if you meet Tali in your room, before boarding Geth vessel: (Usual dialogue) T: Thanks... Shadow Broker L: Speaking of which, I see a lot of things in my new position. T: Something we should talk about? L: * Looks at Shepard * No... nothing
I think Liara undertstood that you needed someone because she could not be there in ME2, and that is why she gives you a pass. In ME3 tho, she is along for the whole ride so there is no excuse whatsoever. All in all, she reacts as you might expect. While personal favorites among the romance options varies a lot, she do show stages in relationships you'd actually encounter in real life. Take the hint people, be true to those you love.
In my first playthrough of ME2, I romanced a different character (I think Jack because I liked her "tough on the outside, but has a soft spot inside" personality if you can break through her shell) because it seemed like you couldn't do anything with Liara anyway. Until the Shadow Broker expansion came out, then at least Bioware gives you the option to make it up to her since it's not like we would've known she was still a potential love interest.
Honestly feel like the Mass Effect 2 romances shouldn’t count as cheating - Shep was dead for two years and the Galaxy kept spinning without them. I still feel crappy after the conversations with Liara but she doesn’t count as a Paramour trophy + there’s not a whole lot of content in ME2 with her
Yeah I hate that they treated her with more attention in the final romance scene in ME3 but don’t even show us tali’s face in the scene I mean seriously not everybody likes liara just because she is a writers power I mean they gave the virmire survivor more love than tali and Garrus what is BioWare’s problem
While it is true that you can't do multiple relationships without getting in trouble if you're a female Shepherd you can actually do a relationship with thane and either kaiden or Liara from ME1 and it won't affect either relationship because Thane dies
And what's even more messed up is you can get away with the same thing as a female shepherd with Jacob because Jacob is not a love interest in Mass Effect 3 either so there's no consequences for that
I accidentally did the lotsb dlc much earlier in the game and for some reason Liara straight up friendzoned me. Whatever the guides say is bs, she gave Shepard no kiss when he hugged her nor slept with him later on and I don't know what I did wrong 😆 plz give advice if you can. There weren't even quicktime events.
I think is the contrary! If you bang another one in ME2 after doing the Suicide Mission the 'love interest' photo will be turned down, meaning you "changed" the love interest! So, if you want to have those Liara romance scenes in LSB dlc you need to do it before final mission!
@@armycenturion well I think there’s a huge time gap so a lot of people would be dead. The Asari have the longest lifespan so it would make since Liara is in the trailer. I just hope one of those characters in the background is Shepard’s kid. The only way it’d work for both Male and Fem Shep is if it was with Liara.
It's a shame that car segment on Ilium is just that - a segment. They could've used it like the hovercraft in Beyond Good & Evil - to travel between on-foot areas. It would've been an easy way to add a sense of scale to Ilium without turning it into a big, open world.
But... nooo... Poor Kaiden. D: Cheating on him like that... that made me feel really sad for him. Because for some reason I've come to like him and romance him in my Mass Effect LE Insanity playthrough. Which is nuts because I generally prefer women. And yet I decided to get to know him and... he's good. Kaiden is really good. I like him a lot.
A lot of people miss out on him and his romance, sadly, because they never bother to look closer and appreciate his subtility, compassion, the quiet humor and thoughtfulness etc. Just because he is not your typical hypermasculine dudebro marine he is called boring. Lmao, okay, your loss bruh. And his romance is so good and wholesome, the ultimate friends to lovers to "enemies" to lovers, with the right amount of drama, heartache and conflict as well. I appreciate him/his romance a looooot. TLDR: Kaidan was right, with everything. Especially regarding Cerberus.
Yes! Finally a Kaidan appreciation comment! I blame Bioware for the shitty Horizon plot (not to mention, how the hell did he escape the initial assault? And how convenient of us to produce a countermeasure minutes before the attack without any samples to go with... oh, right, we somehow got the samples), for merging two opposite characters and personalities into one (use your biotics and shields, damn it!), because the other 'boring human' is always dead, so why bother writing them different? I do understand why people don't see it as cheating though, you've waited years irl for story to continue only to receive a spit in your face. What are you supposed to do? Hope really hard that they'll make up for it in the next installment? Which might not be? When there are all those fancy new romance options? But for Shepard it's been like what, a few weeks? A month? Rarely enough for feelings to evaporate completely. What the Horizon scene is trying to tell you, but failing miserably, is that Kaidan is still madly in love with you, but conflicted, his main problem being why are you working with the terrorists who apparently are the ones behind the abductions? (could have been a really good question, but, sadly, in the framework of the plot, makes him look like an idiot) But if they were the ones bringing Shep to life, it all makes sense. Shep is not herself anymore. A shell, to serve a new purpose. At the very least, manipulated. Heartbreaking yet again? Hell yeah. You don't take a love from a character who explicitly tells you, that he will suffer immensely if he loses you, then shove, basically, an "abomination" into his face and expect him to not lose his mind. Not to mention, he just witnessed the whole lot been taken away and survived that, the other one was Veetor. I was lucky to binge through the whole trilogy for the first time only recently, so I didn't have to wait for years for the conflict to resolve. For what it's worth I enjoy the Horizon conflict immensely through the storytelling perspective, not the execution. It makes the character in question look independant, with his own opinions, his own views, maybe illusions, maybe good points. Compare this the rest of your crew who have no questions whatsoever as to why you are suddenly alive after being blown into space, they accept the fact as granted and follow you blindly. Any romance past me1 feels shallow and superficial. Hence, no "cheating" on my watch. Felt satisfying to the end. Or, untill the end. The endings, that is.
I wish there was an option to try romance with both love interest at once in ME3, and Shepard would end up like Geralt from Witcher 3 (when he tried to do both with Triss and Yennefer) tied to a bed and both ditching him/her XD
So, I just played the ME trilogy for the first time (yes, it's true) and I totally fell in love with Liara's character. However, I just read an article saying that Liara cheated on Shepard with Feron and it honestly lessened my excitement for Liara a little bit. From what I saw of her, I could have never imagined that she would cheat on Shepard or fall in love with someone else (even though he has been dead for two years). I mean, she still kept parts of his/her old armor, she did everything to bring him/her back to life and she kind of worshiped him/her all the time. To me, the Shadow Broker DLC felt like that she likes Feron as a friend and not as a lover since she wants to get back with Shepard asap if he/she wants it, too. Also, I felt like Liara is acting so strange when Shepard meets her on Ilium because she missed Shepard so much over the two years that it just felt unreal for her to see him/her again. Now, did I miss something here? Did she cheat on Shepard or fall in love with Feron? If so, it feels a little strange tbh...
I don't think it's actually confirmed that her and feron did anything beyond just being close friends. And even if they did, Shepard was dead at the time. It's not unreasonable for her to try and move on from being a widow
@@prylosecorsomething3194 exactly, and it's wasn't like "I hear they are dead" but full on recovered-Shepards-corpse-herself kinda dead. Even if something happened between her and Feron it's pretty understandable
@@master_ace still no reason to be mad at shepard for building relationship with someone else, she did it as well and she gave shepard No clue about herself lol
That article is a load of bs really. The prequel comic shows the whole journey from when they met, to Feron being captured. There’s not a single part during this that they fall in love, or get psychical or romantic in any way. Liara is focused on Shep, gets close to whooping Feron at times, but ultimately considers him a friend by the end. I don’t see how any of the comic implies anything romantic, the only thing that does is the fact you can pick dialogue to ask if she and Feron are together, and the responses she can give depending on the different variations. But it doesn’t make sense when nothing happened in the comic supporting it, only Liara’s obsession at getting revenge on the SB for wanting your body, and rescuing Feron giving Shep doubts and reasons to think she and Feron were more than friends. So has she cheated? No, because nothing psychical or romantic happened between her and him. Did she fall in love with him? I’d say no, but Bioware despite not showing anything to prove that in the comic, throw in sketchy dialogue to add doubt. Does she consider him a friend? Absolutely, went from convenience, to frenemies, to friends by the comics end. When you talk to him he calls her a friend with zero romantic insinuations, and even if you don’t romance her in any game, she still isn’t in a relationship with him no matter what.
Hmm. I did Shadow Broker romanced Liara again, then I romanced Jack towards the end of ME2. Liara didn’t mention that at all in ME3. We got back together and she didn’t mention Jack at all. Maybe things are different in the Legendary Edition?
If you DON'T romance anyone in 1&2, and romance Liara in 3, you get extra unique dialog with her. She says less if you've romance her, or anyone else in the first 2 games.
I just finished my first trilogy play through. I romanced Ashely in the first game but didn't know about importing my save file into ME2 so I started from scratch there and romanced Tali then stuck with her in ME3. Next play through I'll probably go with Liara all the way. Man these games have some amazing characters.
I always loved Tali to much to romance anyone else so there still plenty of content from mass effect I don't know about. These videos help me see the scenes I'd never find on my own
Same. When I played the trilogy for the first time, I didn't know anything about the game's romance options. I liked her very much throughout the game, but I didn't think that romancing the quarian would be possible in this game (suit, immune system, etc.). Well, yeah. Kelly said the magic words about Tali and there's no way back for me since then. I don't want to reject her and I'm fine with this. TH-cam exists. 🙂
I'm always torn between Liara and Miranda. Liara is the ultimate in loyal and sweet, but Miranda is... well the perfect engineered human. Plus after seeing her break down in ME3 when Shepard breaks up is just heartbreaking. It's like she finally found a reason to keep going and it was torn from her.
I don't understand why people are having this problem....I romance both Liara and Miranda. Liara in Game 1,2,3 and Miranda in Game 2,3. No problems. I also do Jack for a one nghter in game 2 after successfully completing Miranda and Jack's loyalty mission and settling their dispute. If you break it off with Miranda in the beginning of Game 3....she dies on Horizon at the end of the Sanctuary mission.....that's too tragic.
@@johnspartan98 Tip: If you want to romance Liara but also romanced Miranda there is a way to keep Miranda alive without continuing her romance. On the second physical meeting in the Citadel in one of the apartment rooms you have the option to sleep with her. Don't. Then you can continue romancing Liara while keeping Miranda alive.
Man Liara is just perfect, I'm on my like 6th playtrough and I ended up romancing her AGAIN. I just can't resist. Everything is perfekt about her, the relationship with Shep, everything. God damn. Also having her as a squadmate in ME3 was the best, her and Garus are my favorite combo, whichever class I play as they always come.
As much as I like Tali, I wouldn't want to break up with my romance from ME1 to be with her. So I either stay loyal or I simply don't romance anyone in ME1 if I plan to be with someone from ME2. Unless it's Jacob. Cheating on him is fine.
You mean the guy who goes off and cheats on you whilst you're incarcerated and gets another woman pregnant? that guy? yeah, screw him and his priiiiiize.
I was really hoping (and expecting) a big fight in ME3 between your LI in ME1 and ME2 if you weren't faithful. I imagined a biotic showdown between Liara and Jack.
Um... i guess the "futa thing" need some special internet rule. Like rule 34, we all know what it means. Now this rule will say: Every hot female character have or will have a futa version. Cuz most of the famous videogame, comix/manga, anime female character already have that.
Liara/Jack/Liara is a pretty interesting romance sequence. In part because it hardly feels like cheating. I say this because other than some awkward dialog about feelings with Jack in the engine room, holding her while she cries, and sleeping next to her during the romance sequence, nothing happens with her. She kisses you when you meet in ME3 but other than that there's nothing physical between you. Then when you break up with her she's genuinely chill with it. And other than some snarky comments in ME2 Liara doesn't really seem care about what happened between you and Jack. Which again was nothing physical and I would argue barely anything emotional either. Romancing Jack in ME2 honestly feels more like a high stakes therapy session more than anything else.
@@isjageo Listen. Your headcanon can be whatever you want. But I just rewatched the relevant scenes and all that we are shown (or that is even implied) in ME2 is that they make out and hold one another. The only time it's even implied they sleep together is in the Citadel DLC which doesn't happen in the scenario I presented (they are broken up by that point). In fact the only time sex is even mentioned between them is in ME2 which obliterates any chance at romance if you do it and the end of ME3 where she says she wants it. No other character says anything remotely like it in their romance storyline which suggests to me that it's something of a big step for her to trust you enough to do that in a romantic sense. Admittedly that's just my interpretation but again you can believe whatever you want.
What sucks is that rekindling the romance with Liara when you import your save to ME2 does NOT grant you the Paramour 2 trophy/achievement. Now I'm scrambling after the suicide mission to start a relationship with a crew member so I can get the trophy/achievement. It is good to know that I can still get the trophy for the relationship in ME2 and not have it affect my relationship with Liara in ME3 since I'll be reaffirming the relationship with her.
As a note, for anyone else reading this, I learned that you can play an ME1 romance, rekindle it in ME3 (which gives the Paramour 2 trophy) and then play another save where you romance anyone in 2, and that gives Paramour 3 because you’ve technically had a romance in every game, even if it’s not the same save file. I only figured this out after my first play through was a completely loyal romance for Kaiden, and then I played a new save with no romance in ME1, and then a romance with Garrus in ME2. It then gave me the trophy, after the romance scene with Garrus.
Miranda response: "Yes, you came back! And now you're more interested in ms. Lawson, and what's under her jumpsuit!" Important note: she rolls her eyes while saying "ms. Lawson" xD
I feel like " *cheating* " on characters like Liara, Kaidan, and Ashley in ME2 shouldn't be bad since they even admit it themselves (TIM even tells you this) that they have moved on since they thought you were dead or had changed as a person at some point. I feel like this is specially the case with Ashley and Kaidan when they confront you about it your new relationship in ME3 since you can finally continue the relationship there if you wish to. I think both bring up the excuse of "how long do you want me to wait?", that shouldn't be valid plus the fact that they had a heated argument with Shepard in ME2 and treated them like sh*t. If they really loved Shepard they would know them better and that they wouldn't just leave to join Cerberus for malicious intent, and would be willing to wait until they reunite.
The game aknowledges that. Once in a playthrough as femshep I romanced Kaidan in ME1, then Garrus in ME2 and 3. By the hospital scene with Kaidan, he asked "You got close to Garrus" and there was a dialogue option when FemShep directly adressed that issue, like "Of course I did, you treated me like shit on Horizon! I tried to reach out to you and you just shut me down like an asshole!" Kaidan agrees with you, he's like "Yeah... I was a douchbag :( " XD XD
Romanced Tali in 2 and Liara in 1 and 3 + LOTSB dlc after completing 2. Game registered it as though I was always faithful to Liara. She mentioned Tali in 2 and 3 but told my Shep she loves him first at the end of 3.
But he didn't cheat on her. They weren't together. Her decision. Even after she knows your alive she turns you down. It doesn't make sense for her to be upset with you, but everyone including the developers seem to overlook the facts.
Hey @Big Dan Gaming, I just wanted to say great video as usual. And also, a video I'd love to see, even though it would require multiple playthroughs of the entire trilogy (oh darn) is what Ashley and Kaiden think of the people who you "cheated" on them with. I thought of this as I just started 3 and romanced Tali in 2 and Ashley said she "approved" and thought of her as a "big sister". I would love to see how she and Kaiden see all the others you romance in 2. Any way, I know that is a MASSive undertaking. (Sorry.) But, I feel it would be a great watch. Until the next one, keep on rockin'.
@@willbaker6532 It’s a whole romance though, you have to do missions in between different dialogues, it’s a decent bit to replay. And I don’t think you can get paramour lll that way

I romanced Liara in 1 as filler, but I always planned to make Miranda my romance option in the sequels. The options were never clear about what was romancing in the sequels and what was being nice. I ended up hugging Liara in the dlc and was surprised by a kiss and I felt like a shitty person lmao Getting through conversations with her in me3 without leading her on was like walking through a minefield lol

man hearing those cab chase lines at the end really reminds me how good a comedy actor mark meer is. i feel like both of the shepard VAs have their strengths, where mark meer is really good at snappy one liners and comedy (citadel DLC is golden), and jennifer hale is better at the dramatic emotional stuff
The type of people who do this are the same people who think Garrus sucks and Jacob Taylor is the best companion in any game ever made with no flaws whatsoever.
@@sandrogamer30018 Considering she was sidelined for most of ME2 I get advocating for infidelity there. But in ME3? That’s just nasty. I liked Garrus more as a character and the best bro rather than a LI, Liara and Tali take the cake for that.
It’s not even cheating lmao you literally died and she even says that you’re both different now, as it’s been 2 years. If you pursued another romance before the collectors mission, most likely because it’s a suicide mission and likely want some sort of comfort before you go. In the perspective of the story, since she has her own life, and you’re riding to certain death, it fits well. And when you happen to survive, help her with the shadow broker that’s when you can hash it out and walk away friends, that’s how I see it anyway
The best/funniest conflict with a previous LI would have to be Ashley and Tali.... and you bring both of them to the Geth ship, Ashley's reaction as Shepard flirts with Tali is just gold.

@@212mochaman no because the first time I would talk to someone it will be paragon, renegade you just end up immediately fucking, hence why I also said I tried talking to her neutrally and it still happened like a paragon
The same happened to me but with Kaidan and Thane. ME1 tends to force players into a relationship so i just kill off Kaidan to avoid a romance with him (he's a bad character anyways). As for Thane i remember simply just wanting to talk to him and by the end of the conversation he says "siha" and I'm like, "aw, sh*t" then reload my last save and stop talking to him since i didn't want to ruin my relationship with Garrus. The game just doesn't give you an exact indication of when you're romancing someone, either that or I'm just dense.
In my current playthrough I romanced Liara in ME1 and then "cheated" on her in ME2. I put cheated in quotation marks because it didn't feel like cheating to me. I only pursued the other romance after meeting Liara on Illium. Because there she doesn't commit to Shepard and she seems to be more interested in her business as an information broker. It felt like she moved on after Shepard died and has no interest in rekindling the relationship. 🤷🏻♂️ But I'll commit to her in ME3 when she is ready for a serious relationship again.
I mean if Tali is best girl you wouldn’t have dated Liara in the first place. Big brain. Personally I romanced Liara and kept Tali as a good friend. She’s my go to for broshep. Liara for femshep.
@@hagoromootsutski9058 I WOULD romance Tali if i COULD in ME1 but as Liara said. She had an interest in not broadening the competion. Liara is so bland in part 1 that she more feels like a curiosity...
I usually just avoid romancing Liara if I can as I kinda see her as a big sister anyways (Ashley in ME1, Tali in 2 and 3 for my MShep playthroughs - Tali because she's a sweetheart, and leaving Ash behind post ME1 because of how she tells you off for working with Cerberus in 2 makes for a good dynamic, methinks) You can tell she was one of the writer's pets because of how she rubs that "just friends" phrase in your face a couple of times.
Did the same thing. Dated Ashley, broke it off for that same reason. Don't have to feel guilty, and she takes it well in me3 anyways. Tali is just so adorable and funny. She's like Ashley, but without the negatives.
I love the narrative of Liara being the best babe. For me, in ME1 I ended up romancing Ashley even though I knew at the end of it all it was about Liara. After Ashley gives me shit and technically dying in ME2, I find some sort of comfort in Jack but knowing Liara was looking for me confirmed my love for her. Then finally I dork it up trying to court Liara in ME3, making everything right. I fucking love this game
Liara is always my girl though if Miranda was more of a character in 3 would be more of a challenge. Tali deserves to be with Garrus if playing maleshep as there gushing on the Dreadnaught is so sweet.
If you cheat on Garrus... That means you are a horrible person! I will never cheat on my husband!😖 Cheating on Garrus is a sin!😖 How you could cheat on your best friend and boyfriend?😭
Reading that just gave me a vision of a Turian holovid where the human says something insipid like, "Teach me about this Turian thing called love...." lol I've seen too many b-rated movies.
Tali > Liara anyway. Gonna cheat on Liara with Tali in my current playthrough. I didn't plan on romancing anyone in ME 1, but it just happens accidently xd Besides, Tali is just so cute, especially when she acts really thirsty with Shep. Girl is literally risking her life to get some D
2 timing shenanigans. If you romance both liara and jack in mass effect 2, bring liara with you on the mission to rescue Jack in mass effect 3, Liara will essentially watch you rekindle your romance with Jack if you choose to do so in that mission. Immediately upon returning to the ship after that, Liara asked me if we wanted to still be together. Something interesting happened after the Citadel assassination mission though. The "lock in" romance dialogue with Liara wouldn't come up after that mission but the Jack lock in dialogue would. Liara basically just wouldn't talk to me. I didn't lock in with Jack and I wasn't sure if I was locked in with Liara after our conversation after the rescue Jack mission or not. I didn't finish that playthrough so I don't know if it was a bug or a glitch where Liara just wouldn't talk to me after the citadel assassination mission or if I was locked in with her after the Jack mission. I never finished that playthrough sadly and that's on xbox 360.
I don’t know if it’s Liara or Ali’s voice but I’ve never had the heart to cheat on Liara. Miranda is a beotch, Jack is just gross. I did go with Tali all the way through. She’s a blast.

Yeah, I agree. I romanced Ashley in ME1 and chose the most "friend zone" responses when you run into her in ME2.

@@serpentenya Agreed 😆😆😆

Tali may be dead. Remember Asari live for centuries. Liara does look a little older in the trailer too. It's mentioned the Krogan also live long lives. But we only know of the Asari and Krogan living a significantly long time. Turian and Quarians may live just as long as humans.

And it’s been proven (in game) memories can be recovered via DNA strands, similar to Assassins Creed.

But...

In fact the only time sex is even mentioned between them is in ME2 which obliterates any chance at romance if you do it and the end of ME3 where she says she wants it.

Yeeah she doesn't like that either LOL.
I tried to reach out to you and you just shut me down like an asshole!"

@@willbaker6532 It’s a whole romance though, you have to do missions in between different dialogues, it’s a decent bit to replay. And I don’t think you can get paramour lll that way
Liara is the first character i actually fell in love, the special thing is she was the first in any game and not even human.
Imagine saying that to a person who never played mass effect or doesnt know about liara in general
Great vid and commentary..lol. This is my fav game of all times I swear nobody has done a space RPG better. There's something about Miranda I just have to see how I feel after my 2 playthrough ☺️.
Me too. My bro-shep always has this back and forth between her and Liara.
"Itching to get under Talis helmet" Guilty as charged!!
I romanced Liara in 1 as filler, but I always planned to make Miranda my romance option in the sequels. The options were never clear about what was romancing in the sequels and what was being nice. I ended up hugging Liara in the dlc and was surprised by a kiss and I felt like a shitty person lmao
Getting through conversations with her in me3 without leading her on was like walking through a minefield lol
I’ve been wanting this video badly thank you 🙏🏻
Dying once might change someone, at least thats what I think when I switch romance between 1 and 2. I thought about doing a playthrough we're you start off either paragon or renegade but then switch personality when yor resurrected.
Love all your videos man. Again i say thank you for the time you put in to do this.
Man I didn't mean to cheat but she wasn't available hahaha
Technically he died and was brought back so he's a new man.
Lair of the Shadow Broker 👀
Me but with Ashley
Hi! i laugh a little about the report, it is nice and mades me to remember when i played a maraton of the ME, regarding your video remember something:
1. ME3 - The hamster solds you out with liara if you date the reporter
You can use the save editor mod in Legendary Edition to get those extra lines much easier perhaps?
Yep. You just need two playtroughts for different genders because if you switch them in mid-playtrough you fuck up the whole game.
man hearing those cab chase lines at the end really reminds me how good a comedy actor mark meer is. i feel like both of the shepard VAs have their strengths, where mark meer is really good at snappy one liners and comedy (citadel DLC is golden), and jennifer hale is better at the dramatic emotional stuff
I’m going to stay with Liara after watching the new trailer. That’s clearly her wiping off the snow and smiling.
I love your Mass Effect videos. Keep making them :D. Maybe some day we will get a good ME game again with Shepard.
The type of people who do this are the same people who think Garrus sucks and Jacob Taylor is the best companion in any game ever made with no flaws whatsoever.
I cheated on Liara wth no regrets and I find Garrus awesome and Jacob shitty, don't know what are you talking about lmao 🤣🤣
@@sandrogamer30018 Considering she was sidelined for most of ME2 I get advocating for infidelity there. But in ME3? That’s just nasty. I liked Garrus more as a character and the best bro rather than a LI, Liara and Tali take the cake for that.
Garrus is mah bro for life!
7:51 I just noticed there are wanted posters for Jack right above you during the Shadow Broker flying sequence
Don't cheat on Liara or she'll wrap those tendrils around you!
Anyone else want to see what Asari look really look like.
Sound like a good time
Hey I'm down with some blue love.
Good on u for giving props to FluffyNinjaLlama. Been subsrcibed to her channel since 09'
It’s not even cheating lmao you literally died and she even says that you’re both different now, as it’s been 2 years.
" It ain't cheatin' if you ain't dippin' "
The best/funniest conflict with a previous LI would have to be Ashley and Tali.... and you bring both of them to the Geth ship, Ashley's reaction as Shepard flirts with Tali is just gold.
It’s best to romance Ashley instead if you decide to cheat, dumping her is far more satisfying
Liara: ignores you, treats you coldly, gives your body to a corp thats going to resuscitate you
Also Liara: why you cheat in me ?
I've accidentally romanced jack numerous times, and after her LOYALTY mission I've tried to neutrally or even renegade chatter and it still accidentally romanced jack so I just dont talk to her after her loyalty mission
Renegade is the ONLY way you CAN romance her
@@212mochaman no because the first time I would talk to someone it will be paragon, renegade you just end up immediately fucking, hence why I also said I tried talking to her neutrally and it still happened like a paragon
@@mambaplays8712 that sounds pretty fucked in the zero lol
@@212mochaman yaaa XD I've always tried to stay faithful to liara
But I'll commit to her in ME3 when she is ready for a serious relationship again.
Always felt like the Liara romance is sort of forced on you but she still the best choice in 1 imo
How can anyone say ‘let’s just be friends’ to Liara? She’s a sweetheart
You know what's worse than breaking up with Liara? Breaking up with Tali instead.
Facts liara is okay and everything but I could never imagine breaking Tali’s heart
I think Liara can handle a break up like that better, while Tali is more fragile.
I’m many things but I’m not a fucking monster lol
@Giovanni Messe why
@Giovanni Messe 😢
Ah yes! This confirms some other threads I've seen! I'm not at ME2 yet, but this definitely cleared some stuff up! Thank you!
One calls it cheating but im sure its shore leave for Shepard...
Cheat on Liara ? Damn that's cold
"You cheated on Liara with Tali?"
*YA BET YER SWEET BIPPY I DID!*
Tali is best Girl!
+ EVERYONE LIKED THAT
Yuuuuuup
There is a other relationship Ashley Williams when you are with a another girl Ashley gets a hissy fit
Ashley jealous about Tali is hilarious
Except for that they'd be like sisters in Citadel DLC is you don't come between them
Not gonna lie, I was super tempted after her makeover in ME3. Never forget seeing new Ashley and going "Dayum Ash, you went and got cleaned up!"
You’re itching to get under Tali’s helmet 😂😂😂😂😂
Liara is always my girl though if Miranda was more of a character in 3 would be more of a challenge. Tali deserves to be with Garrus if playing maleshep as there gushing on the Dreadnaught is so sweet.
If you cheat on Garrus...
That means you are a horrible person!
I will never cheat on my husband!😖
Cheating on Garrus is a sin!😖
How you could cheat on your best friend and boyfriend?😭
Reading that just gave me a vision of a Turian holovid where the human says something insipid like, "Teach me about this Turian thing called love...." lol I've seen too many b-rated movies.
Man, I really felt bad for mah boy Kaidan. I mean, yes, he wasn't the best character, but renegade Shepard was cold as ice with him.
Tali > Liara anyway. Gonna cheat on Liara with Tali in my current playthrough. I didn't plan on romancing anyone in ME 1, but it just happens accidently xd
Besides, Tali is just so cute, especially when she acts really thirsty with Shep. Girl is literally risking her life to get some D
Some Shepard D
What happens it you cheat on Liara?
You restart or reload and don't cheat.
I don’t know if it’s Liara or Ali’s voice but I’ve never had the heart to cheat on Liara. Miranda is a beotch, Jack is just gross. I did go with Tali all the way through. She’s a blast.
