Great video! Mmmmm can't decide on the Z35 or X34. During your time with the Z35 did you experience any blur or trailing. I heard some color transitions are very slow leaving that blur.

+Tech of Tomorrow I would just like to know what case you would recommend to me. I will be initially air cooling my CPU but would like water cooling support if I decide to water cool my rig. I would prefer a 5.25" drive bay for my ODD and good cable management is a must for me as this will be my first gaming pc. Which of these cases would you recommend Phanteks Enthoo Pro (Black), Phanteks Enthoo Pro M (Black windowed edition) or the Fractal Design Define R5. If you have any other recommendations I would really appreciate it.

it's an IPS panel. this is great for production. adobe, Photoshop, gaming, it's great for it all. I disagree with it not being a monitor for "Photoshop." Sure tailored for gaming but great for everything! lol. IPS has the best color SRGB rating and being an IPS will naturally have the best viewing angles, curved or not. can't wait to buy one! would've liked to see you talk more about specs but good video overall. thank you!
Would you recommend this for Photo and Video Editing ? I am planning on getting a new Macbook pro and want to have a monitor in my room for when I use Lightroom and Photoshop.

So, why do you have to go through the menu to overclock it to 100Mhz? Why isn't the 100Mhz refresh rate natively supported? Does it even make a difference? Also, are colors more washed out at 100Mhz vs. 60Hz? Thanks!

Unless i saw out some of my desk which i kinda want to avoid. But i really like it.
Seems like you usually have to chose from framerates and big resolution but with this you get both.
why would they call it an "overclock" if it's guaranteed to work at 100hz? does running it at that refresh rate have any disadvantages?

I have been looking at LG for their quality, till this Acer you brought up changed my mind. Not only I want it for everyday and digital creative use but it's well built for a lot of gaming. Specially in Warframe I play a lot. lol

This is one heck of a high end gaming solution! One could build a pretty substantially capable 1440p machine for its asking price however. But, you pay to play :)
Just get a damn Vizio 43" 4k M-Series......I replaced all 3 of my 1440p monitors for this 4k tv, and it is awesome........plays 1080p-1440p at 120Hz. 4k at 60Hz. There is no input lag or ghosting.
Looking to get this monitor, is it really worth the price? I should mention I've never played games at 21:9 nor have I played above 60hz. Been gaming at 1080p 60hz for years.

I'll be getting the ASUS PG348Q when it comes out in about 2-3 weeks. I want the ASUS one more mostly because I like the looks of it better, I know they are using the same panel.
+Upora ASUS has said in many articles that they have planned for a launch sometime in January or February. I have found some UK stores that say they expect to get their shipment around February 12th. So that's when I will hopefully be able to get mine. I have wanted one since it was first shown.

i have now seen your video after work and i got to say that i have not tried g sync, gotten a proper pc monitor, experienced high resolutions upwards to native 1200p in gaming, and have my mind set on the best money can buy in terms of a g sync monitor. its out of stock until febuary and i have seen it 3rd party retail as high as 3500 on ebay. i was thinking of the xr34 but i have a 980ti so next generation adaptive refresh rate techniology would not work on my card. however i am going to get a gaming monitor any day to by the end of febuary. an interesting bit of information that correspomds to my deadline of the end of febuary, asus is realeasing a predator x34 equivilent called pg348q in febuary sometime. i wonder which one will be the better buy. this is also why i think that the predator will drop price since it wont be the only company to produce an ultrawide monitor thats 3440x1440, has gsync, and can go to 100 hz. on top of that asus said that their target price is 1200 to 1300 so that will influence a x34 pricedrop if anything
So an interesting thought I had is when, lets call it "Super Ultra-Wide" monitors come out 32:9, you quite literally have 2 16:9 monitors in one...so another question is brought up, could the respected companies making the 32:9 monitors, assuming it is one panel, mimic 2 16:9 monitors from a streaming stand point or literally one of the best productivity allocations...just an interesting thought of mine
Z35 > X34 for gaming. Yet for all other tasks the X34 > Z35. Z35 is purely for competitive gamers meant. The 200 HRZ refreshrate is absolutely beautiful for shooters etc. Also note that 2560x1080p is alot easier to drive than the X34 at a higher resolution. For the X34 if you want decent framerates (60+) you need a 980 or 980ti / Fury.

Tech of Tomorrow: If you haven't already can you make a video showing how to set up multiple monitors on one gpu? I have a 24 inch rimless 1080p monitor from BenQ and another smaller 720p monitor from BenQ that's 18.1" The smaller monitor only has VGA output but for some reason the VGA out put ports on my GPU (the GTX 970) are different colours. One is yellow and one is white. I also have 2 HDMI ports. I am now using one HDMI port via HDMI cable for my 24" monitor and my smaller one is tucked away in my cupboard until I decide what to do with it. My problem is that I could not get my second monitor to work. My PC (Windows 10) registered that I have 2 monitors but there was nothing showing on the smaller monitor and I tried everything!!! I changed the screen res, restarted my PC, went into the Nvidia Control Panel and so on. Nothing happened. Now if I keep my 24" monitor plugged in via HDMI and plug in the second monitor via VGA (it doesn't have HDMI support) will that work?

+GamingEnigma one single better card is always better than 2 lesser cards, you may have issues in certain games with stuttering and you will have no doubt a higher power consumption!

Oh, I was under the impression that IPS monitors had great color reproduction and even color distribution over other panals...is that wrong?
Asking because I ordered mine last night.
Really tempted to get one of these, but for the same price I can get a 4k Gysync monitor AND a 144hz 1440p panel, and get the best of both worlds depending on whether I want speed or visuals.

hey guys.. I'm wondering, will this be able to work on my amd card with 60hz..? has anyone tried it? I'm planning to upgrade the gpu to NVidia soon, but I only have either choice, get this, or upgrade my gpu first. I am planning to get this since availability is limited in my area, whereas gpus are easier to get

I'm pretty sure it doesn't even cost a $100 to make a single one of these..
I think one company can make a HELL of a lot more money if they sell one of these for like $500, so many people would buy them, if 100,000 people can buy them for $500 it's a hell of a lot more return than 10000 people buying them for $1500 (Not even close to that amount can afford and buy these.)

this monitor retails for 1200 and can be inflated to as much as 3300. all because stock is low or nonexistant until late febuary. all you realize that this monitor will problably around a thousand in febuary right?
