+Tech of Tomorrow Does battlefront sli support? I have some new games that I am playing right now that don't like sli. Fallout 4 and Rainbow 6 siege especially.
Definitely "The Badest Monitor" in the market. It took me 4 days of intense calibration to get me to the settings that I'm comfortable yet. The speakers are ok. Treble is good but bass is bad. Playing games using the monitor's speakers are good enough
Loving mine at home :). Nice to see you reviewing it as there aren't many reviews out there - all the attention seemed to go to the x34. But that extra inch and the curve really makes a big difference. I
are you sure of this? have you tried with nvidia glasses? there is nothing written about it onto the various reviews and nothing onto acer site (at least onto the italian's one). thank you
Have you tried using the NVIDIA 3D Vision Kit with this monitor? I have the X34. I was going to wait for this monitor but I got impatient and didn't think 3D would actually work.
I wanted to buy this but most of my budget went to gtx 980's and water blocks this year. I just bought the Acer K272HUL 2560x1440 IPS monitor a couple of weeks ago for 280 dollars though. One hell of a deal. I'm sticking with Acer from now on.
depends, what is your max usage, 120 or 200 fps? read tftcentral's review. they basicly said after 120hz the monitor can't keep up and ghosting and blur starts to happen. they also said the monitor is best used at ulmb mode (ultra low motion blur) at fixed 120hz. you need to turn g-sync off to do this.
2560x1080 is fine for my game: Vanilla WoW. The stand is just amazing and I mention it because adjusting both how far it sits from me and the height and tilt perfectly to where my "toon" is in relation to my eyes brings on an incredible immersion feeling. Just smooth as fresh ice: zero tearing or lag, comes with DP to DP cable. I haven't looked into default refresh with Nvidia DSR, waiting on a more pc savvy friend to come over to do that but the VA panel in my honest opinion gives such a smoother picture than IPS, I'm looking forward to hopefully combined this 3000:1 contrast (3 times higher than standard IPS) with DSR sampling mimicking 1440p- I just don't want to lose my high refresh or Gsync to do that. I'm so glad I got this monitor as it was clearly the best upgrade path enabling me to keep my 970 gpu because of gsync; in my favorite game I get a solid 104 FPS (down to ~65, up to ~230) but with Gsync it simply doesn't matter.
+Tech of Tomorrow - I tried a Z35 for a few days, and as much as I loved just about everything about it, I experienced TERRIBLE ghosting and image smearing, especially in dark games, which I simply couldn't live with. Boxed it up and sent it back. Are you experiencing any "out of the ordinary" levels of ghosting with your unit? I found that even just popping open the NVIDIA control panel and dragging it around on the screen quickly (at any and all refresh rates - as low as 60hz, as high as 200hz), I could make the black text blur very easily. I'm hoping there was just something wrong with my unit, but some of the other reviews I've seen online also call out the ghosting issues. Would love to get your take on it. Thx!
This monitor is very awesome, looks like we are at the cinema.I have the same opinion that one monitor is enough. I am looking forward to play that game, i am waiting for the price drop to play it. Great video Elric.
really hard to tell with sun glare seemed saturated from camera to video to my 60 fmps monitor but will have to take your word for it. Like your energy to experience, definitely like the overclocking and input selection, makes me wish I had that monitor.
so i'm in the process of buying a new monitor and this one is just barely over my budget (dang credit limit) how would you compare this to Acer XZ350CU. it seems like its the exact same monitor just free sync not g sync (sadly i just got a 1080 so i won't be compatible but i just don't have the budget to do it) my other question is. if i'm coming from a 24'' 1080p monitor will i notice a difference in sharpness or pixel density? it's not a full 2k panel just an ultra wide full hd. which is fine i just want to make sure it's not more blurry than my current one or something
sorry for the long comment by the way i just can't find any info about the pixel density vs a regular 24'' 1080p screen. if it looks the same i'm buying it in a heart beat. i want that curved monitor so bad
Acer monitors are so good. Ive got the XB270HU g-sync 1440p, love it. Cheaper than the ROG with everything I need and no useless gimicks compared to others.
Buying a 27" monitor in the year 2016 is just flat out a waste of money. I rather have this 35" with lower resolution and faster Frames and be able to set everything ultra setting.Oh and I just ordered this monitor for myself so I may be bias :-)
+The Commenter no its 60 hrz with interpolation. meaning it takes every other frame and mixes it with the frame behind and ahead of it. So new frame 1 -> mix between frame one and frame 2 -> frame 2. This causes artifacting in games. For examples when trees move there will have weird ghosting effects on the leaves. Also input delays on tv's and the motion blur will make any dreams of landing headshots a complete joke..
120 hrz only for 1080 p. 4k is only 30 hrz. "Refresh Rate: 120Hz (Native), 30Hz (4K)" www.amazon.com/Seiki-SE39UY04-39-Inch-Ultra-Discontinued/dp/B00DOPGO2G
In this g-sync/free-sync monitors I think the lower mhz is WAAAY more important (lower fps that are in "sync" zone). Upper ones are almost irrelevant (many average gamers couldn't tell difference between 60 and 120, not to mention 144hz vs 200hz). Not to mention that for many gpus (and in some games for every gpu) it's hard to achieve high fps (like over 60, especially 100-ish) with details (in 1080p). While drops under 48 (lowest mhz for most "sync" monitors) are pretty often or possible, and then you are out of sync and it's benefits.
I need help guys witch gpu should i buy ? Thinking about r9 380 4gb,gtx 960 4gb,gtx 970 ? I'm planing to play 1080p gaming The current configration is i5 4590 8gb ram and r9 270 2gb
Would love one but sooooo expensive. Don't get me wrong I'm sure it's worth every penny but you can buy a badass system for that much. Shame really. Do these things hold their value?
Why did you feel the need to edit the video in on top of the monitor like that? It made it look like a screen door, not to mention the parts of the monitor that were cut off.
Excellent video keep up the good work but that's sucks the Monitor is only 4ms I do not think i can get something like this I have a 1ms Monitor and i seen the difference in the video
The first and last time I tried buying a monitor on Ebay, the add said in stock 11 available ready to be shipped, then after I placed my order I got told it would be 3 weeks until they can send it. I got a refund and just bought the thing from a retailer the same week.
Why did you feel the need to edit the video in on top of the monitor like that? It made it look like a screen door, not to mention the parts of the monitor that were cut off. I spent the entire gameplay session trying to figure out what was wrong, then it hit me at the end when you clapped and one hand went between the gameplay and monitor.

***** I never said it was cheap. All I said was that it is "perfect" for some one who plays at high frame rates. How many 200hz monitors are there that you know about?
+Michael Aganier I'm sure professional cs go players could benefit from this monitor no? Its the only 21:9 G-Sync 200hz monitor. That is why it's expensive. Hopefully more companies release those types of monitors so it's not so overpriced.
i heared the motion blur at over 144hz is getting to high, making it a bad experience and totally not worth. Therefor I decided to get the ROG PG278Q even if I'd highly miss the ultrawide dream...
Ibrahim Ansari G-sync doesn't "disable" motion blur. Ulmb eliminates motion blur. G-sync eliminates tearing and improves motion smoothness. You can't use both. You must disable g-sync in order to use ulmb. Parry is right, motion blur on z35 is getting high, even after 120hz. If you don't agree with us, please research ulmb, g-sync and read tftcentral's review on Acer Z35. Also please stop deleting your messages, if you want to have a civil conversation.
jaybee0507 PARRY Okay so I researched. Use ULMB if your system achieves high fps, by which I mean very close to your monitor's refresh rate and use G-Sync if your system has low fps. I remember you saying that you have a TITAN X. So use ULMB. Go for it, you won't regret it.
Guys.. Ultra Wide Monitor scaling to 1080P is really good! Stop worrying about the 1080P thing. At worst, you can boost up the resolution with DSR factors to 1440P or more.Nothing beat high refresh rates for gaming. Makes everything fluid, responsive and crisp just like real life. It is the real way to play video games. This monitor would be awesome to play racing and FPS games. Gaming under 120hz is a joke.
This is one bad-ass monitor!!!
+Tech of Tomorrow would buy it if it had free-sync
+Tech of Tomorrow 200mhz? wtf? 1:10
u went from 4k to this, which is better for gaming immersion?
I love you, no homo, seriously i don't know English enothr to tell you how much i like you
+BadRock there is a free snyc version of this monitor as far as i know
Looking good Elric, good to see you fully recover.
+GTRMclaren722 Thanks bro
The monitors refresh rate overlocks to 200, its set at 144 or 120, but its just another feature.
+Tech of Tomorrow And also u can overclock the refreshrate to "200 megahertz" 1:10 :)
I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL !!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK !! :)
+Tech of Tomorrow Does battlefront sli support? I have some new games that I am playing right now that don't like sli. Fallout 4 and Rainbow 6 siege especially.

Battlefront has awesome support for sli. constant 200fps on my 980ti sli at 1440p.

The Z35 also Fully Supports NVIDIA's 3d Vision!!!
+Tech of Tomorrow Thank for information.
are you sure of this? have you tried with nvidia glasses? there is nothing written about it onto the various reviews and nothing onto acer site (at least onto the italian's one).
thank you
+Tech of Tomorrow OculusVR, I hope you preordered and part of the March 2016 group.
elrik can you vouch for the 3dvision? I just ordered the nvidia 3dvision kit 2. will it work with the Z?
Will 3d vision work with the Z35? I just ordered the nvidia 3d vision kit 2. can you confirm it is? maybe make a quick video showcasing it?
200,000,000 hz Awesome!
Acer is killing it with their monitors lately!
+Notorious B O B Totally..
Something about your videos, improve my mood. Thank you.
ToT - do you have any problems with graininess with that size monitor and 1080p? Either in browsing, working or gaming.
200mhz? wtf? 1:10
+clarkkent999 Exactly what I thought
200 million fps;)
+clarkkent999 It's 200hz, but it makes no sense to have g-sync in it with that high of a refresh rate..
apocalypseap Of course I know.
+clarkkent999 200hz
Yeah a great monitor, I bought it as three weeks , but you are sure that it is compatible 3D ?
Have you tried using the NVIDIA 3D Vision Kit with this monitor? I have the X34. I was going to wait for this monitor but I got impatient and didn't think 3D would actually work.

Thanks for the review. Do you notice any smearing during gaming with dark content.
What sort of minimum video card to make typical games run to get the max usage on this monitor? Trying to plan for my next build.

in which distance you are sitting in front of the monitor? I have a distance of 70cm. Is that enough for using this monitor?
this thing would cost a kidney in my country
Tech of Tomorrow I really appreciate ,how you reply to comments which most of youtubers dont
+Kunal Mutha It costs 1640 $ (1500€) in my country
***** in my country is around 2000$

Its was so funny seeing him having fun and enjoying the game. :)
this review and the comments below sold me on this. I'm getting this monitor tomorrow. what Star Wars game is he playing ?

Fun review. I just picked up a Z35 partly based on this.
I went with the x34 because of the 1440p res vs z35 1080p res. Once we get DP1.3 this will all change. I can't wait.
witch monitor is better acer z35 or acerxr34?
How can I make this monitor to work on tv cable, is this possible?Thank you in advance for your answers!
How does this monitor compare to the Acer Predator X34?
+Peter Haex IF you do not care about 1440 its better. Better sound and refresh rates.
Do you can play all games with the all from the monitor or we can see black streack?

you're using this monitor for your Xbox. you're completely defeating the purpose of this monitor.
this guy really enjoys star wars xD
+Jose Corona I do
what would be the best semi-budget 120hz ultrawide non curved monitor?
ah right, thanks though]
+Matthew Gilbert You can get a Seki 40 inch 4k TV for $300. It's 120hz at 1080p.

Great review! If you could tell me the actual length of the included DP cable I would be very grateful.
Keep up the great work.
So i picked up the x34 the other day. The difference between the two is resolution and hz overclock?
-1 inch for my display
Can anyone explain to me the difference between Z34 and the Z35 ?. Which is best for gaming ?
Just curious, which chair are you using there?
+MaxthonFan One from Costco
Elric Phares Thanks man!

I'm planing to play 1080p gaming
The current configration is i5 4590 8gb ram and r9 270 2gb
this monitor does not have dual controllers like the LG 34UC98? (meaning I can run two inputs and split the screen in half)
I have no interest in G-sync, but I watched the video anyway, just because I know this guy's enthusiasm never fail to put a smile on my face (:
Would love one but sooooo expensive. Don't get me wrong I'm sure it's worth every penny but you can buy a badass system for that much. Shame really. Do these things hold their value?

Excellent video keep up the good work but that's sucks the Monitor is only 4ms I do not think i can get something like this I have a 1ms Monitor and i seen the difference in the video
Managed to get this for 700$ on eBay brand new, worth it! That includes free shipping and no tax

whats the best 27 inch 144 hz or ips montior with 5ms repsonse time under $500 canadian
I got the LG34uc97 but I want that! I want it NOW DAMNIT!!
Is it too big for gaming though?
What gpu would be able to run with this monitor?
good video my friend, and a great monitor. is it true that ASUS is bringing out one as well
Would 34,5 mm tall Hyperx savage ram fit under a noctua nh d15?
It's only 1080p though, would only be worth it for 1440p imo for that size of screen
can you point me on the right direction i want a actual 3d feature curved 21:9 monitor
I reckon the x34 is better. I prefer the sharper 3440x1440 resolution at 100hz over 1080p at 200hz
To all of you complaining about the resolution. Use DSR.
hi. you forgot to mention the resolution?
+Viktor Bakai 2560X1080
Is it a all in one pc and can it run bo3?
so is it better that x34 ?
Wish he had mentioned the resolution. Bums me out its only 1080p because its still pretty damn expensive and ive heard other youtubers complain about pixel density with 1080p on ultrawides. maybe im saying that wrong but just clarity issues in general you can pay a bit more since youre already willing to spend over a grand and get a 100hz 1440p monitor from acer same size with g sync in all, wish they had made this one more budget friendly..
Just ordered this I hope it was a good buy
was it a good buy? Thinking of buying this myself
+MougeSyco I luv it man!!! Some games u do get some ghosting but it's bomb. If u have Instagram I'll show u my setup
You remind me of the Steve Buscemi "How do you do, fellow kids" meme with that hat...except you're actually cool.
+DrearierSpider1 Thanks man
so is it the best monitor out there?
+Michael Aganier Just depends. Its definitely overpriced but if you are a cs:go player this seems like it would be perfect.
+SAUD AL-Mesri Not at 4ms response time. CS Go players still wouldn't touch this thing. 144 at 1 ms is what they look for.
Never mind. Fuck my opinion. This monitor is useless.
the link in the description takes you to the xz monitor. : ( but i found it.
where can you buy this lovely?
+Whiteaura1 Not available yet
i heared the motion blur at over 144hz is getting to high, making it a bad experience and totally not worth. Therefor I decided to get the ROG PG278Q even if I'd highly miss the ultrawide dream...
+PARRY Have not seen that yet..
+Ibrahim Ansari
switch off motion blur? you mean use umlb and disable g-sync?
jaybee0507 PARRY G-SYNC disables Motion Blur, what you heard is SOOOO wrong, enable G-SYNC and you'll be really happy.
Ibrahim Ansari
G-sync doesn't "disable" motion blur.

Would have preferred a vs. comparison to the X34.
out of my reach but i am happy to see it thru ur eyes lol.. enjoy elric enjoy
One thing i noticed you Said 200mega Hz refresh that would be 200000000 hz. It should be 200 hz
What about testing that 200hz refresh rate?
so what's the difference between a va and an ips screen?
ANY GOOD 27" 3D GSYNC IPS MONITOR OUT THERE?
Im doing competitive gaming so I'd choose this for a few reasons before a better 1440p with lower hz. High price, but I give it a go. :)
Hows the ghosting on this monitor?
a bit, not always noticeable
Monitor seems great overall, but I've got to imagine 2560x1080 is a bit low res for a 35" monitor (even if it is ultrawide).
+DrearierSpider1 I love it, 1440 is no big deal to me
+DrearierSpider1 not really.
So this monitor runs at a refresh rate of 200,000,000hz right? 1:10
AWESOME monitor!!!
x34 or z35??
Is it 4k?
When you're playing you sound a bit like Shaggy from Scooby Doo :P
I almost bought this the other day. But they sold out of them at Microcenter. I ended up just getting a new Tv. Samsung Js9000. :)
yeah its a nice monitor... but just look at white lighting 😍 btw u look good in hat 👌
is this a IPS or TN panel????
VA panel
CJThunder is it good to watch 1080p movies? Because i own a benq xl2430t which has VA panel and it sucks big time to watch a movie in it
is this IPS or TN?
Will Gsync work @ 200 Hz or only with 144 Hz?
+MrKROKO85 G sync does work with 200 hz.
is thi G sync or AMD Free sync ? IM totally confused it says Nvidia g-sync but then on specs its Says AMD FREESYNC! I dont get it! :(
pretty sweet monitor but doesnt top the predator x34. Im rocking it and its freaking amazing
