@crow4936 I just don't like it because it puts you out of position unless you have an advancing attack in your moveset. QS, for me, is way more consistent.
@@vincereese2997 yeah I said if you can judge your distance, I've had plenty of back stabs from neutral with it just need to judge right . Quick step being shorter is way easier to judge. Also bloodhound can close bigger gaps . In the end it just boils down to play style,skill and preference.
Sword dance and spinning weapon are basic, but always my go to for a melee build.. I’ve never been able to judge quickstep very well lol
I like to be heavily armored and get real close and aggravating. Hyper armor right through goofy moves like the snake shield thing.

I would be terrified if someone actually pulled that on me. The backstab hitbox did get larger throughout the patches, but its still really hard to pull off against experienced players.

Actually kind of cooler that it wasn't a full parry. Basically just told him "Nah, don't." And he was just like okay fine, I'll put the spear away and never bring it back out lol
Good job, I wish ER dueling would also limit consumables much like how they outright ban heals and limit blue flasks…
I mean drop all consumables to 3 so that in a pinch you have to actually decide when to use it instead of having 99 and the moment you get inflicted remove it. I know in this fight the player used an instant poison and the other removed it but one time I was messing around and made a build, build around sleep, and before I could even get one proc light armor BHS would outpace me and cleanse… this happened over 20 times in the duel… guy just put the antler shield on, swapped to a dagger and chipped me down making sure to out space me and cleanse so he never got slept then proceeded to tbag and drop poop after. Honestly all that made me do was swap to a hyper armor set up with frost tornado to end him after I died since it was my battle mage build… I didn’t do the regular 1 and done duel I never do, I always do the longer ones and that one where I died lasted almost the whole time limit and he could have waited me out but the next several deaths I just bait swung into prepped hyper armor frost tornado thanks to iron perfume

Impressive, as a vet to the souls series I admit I did not see that either, I would have dodged rolled forward to bait making contact then either rolled out atk facing the gamble 50/50 if I hit u first or not or would be sidestepped anyway and crit hit from my back. I would have loved to be defeated this way. Great fight! Smooth!

I love off meta set ups like yours! I play sword of Milos and it’s a blast. Not a fan of quickstep tho, it kinda ruins the art of backstabs because it makes them easy to hit, it is fun tho
