Mario & Luigi: Brothership is a Kirby game in disguise. The bright colours and cute characters are there to lull the player into a false sense of security, so the darkness can hit with the force of a meteor. Not only that, but the finale is this over-the-top yet awesome spectacle.
@@jonathanmendezperez7818 That's fair. The Mario & Luigi games have often had issues with not giving enough bosses unique themes. It certainly would've been cool for Bowser and Zokket to have unique battle themes in this game.
There's definitely some interesting stuff here, in regards to the music, early name choice, etc. Though I will say it's worth looking up the original version of the Famitsu interview, since it has quite a bit of info the translation doesn't cover. Like how Luigi Logic was originally planned for every enemy in the game, until it was toned down to only appear in boss battles.
@@joelsytairo6338 Yeah. There's also the sheer amount of work needed if they were going to have it be unique every time. Not surprised they scrapped the idea for that reason.
@ my really only disappointment coming to this game from thousand year door is how they don’t mix up the battle theme enough for the different islands. So you basically hear the same song every time
@ should I play origami king? I played brothership despite the bad reviews so now I’m thinking origami king which also got panned might actually be secretly good
Nah, that sounds very much Nintendo being overly protective. New clothes weren't and hasn't been a problem for Mario spinoff games over the last few years. If the devs wanted to give Peach a new outfit for whatever reason, even if temporary, that shouldn't have to be justified.
The only thing i didn't like about the soundtrack was the boss battle theme and final boss theme. Other than that the soundtrack was satisfactory. I really like the floral island theme especially. Can't blame the composer for not reaching the absurdly high bar that yoko set. I do hope the composer tries more to imitate yoko's style in the boss themes for future titles.
So there will be Mario & Luigi Hellaverse, a Crossover with Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss That would be peak if Nintendo interest to hire Vivienne Medrano

The final boss fight also feels like those of modern Kirby, with multiple phases separated by some sort of shooter segment.
Just gonna say, I also liked how Brothership's soundtrack turned out. It took me a bit of getting used to, but I was able to appreciate it in the end.
Though I wish that we have gotten MORE with the soundtrack, something like more unique themes for each boss.

This game was so great with beautiful story and characters! Loved every minute of it

@@GamingReinvented interesting how that would have worked. It basically just amounts to a fancy bros attack

@@joelsytairo6338 Yeah after Origami King and TTYD remake had area specific battle themes, it feels jarring playing a Mario RPG without them.

Ngl, This developer behind the scenes story is really interesting!
Awesome video can't wait to see your mario and luigi brothership cooking video!!!

Amazing video deserves more views

Imagine the new composer and yoko working together, that would be awesome
Mario and Luigi: Wonder sounds a tad generic. I’m glad they went with Brothership.
Yeah and it sounds dangerously close to Mario Wonder lol
I only wish the soundtrack was darker like in the past Mario and Luigi games
the static mushroom kingdom theme is was more darker than any mario and luigi games and also castle hallway theme is the most creppy
So there will be Mario & Luigi Hellaverse, a Crossover with Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss

best mario rpg after many generic ones
Brothership is one of the best on Switch.

Nice viedio
The story was this game was kind of kiddy though compared to previous games. Except for the very end. Seems like they went to opposite
It starts very slow really it really begins when bowser shows up.
this game is the biggest disappointment since sticker star
