Thanks. Well, I learnt the original bass line and then found an alternative version that was slightly different. I liked them both, so I thought I would incorporate both into my version.
This is awesome. Thank you! Love seeing another woman being a badass on the bass. I’ve always wanted to try playing it. I’m a piano player all my life.. and a few other instruments, but never bass. Anyway I found your channel searching for bass for this song. A total musician thing of me to do 😂 idk if you’re still posting. But looking forward to watching your other videos!
Hi Charlotte, Thanks so much for your comment. I do still make videos occasionally, but I have so little time now that it's hard to settle into learning a song properly. But I will post more! Also... you definitely need to try bass. Its awesome!
Great work Sarah, an excellent job. One way around the algorithms the copyright police employ, is to change the key, though having the bass more upfront here works for me!
Thank you! It all seems a bit random because there are several other bass videos of this same song, and they haven't been taken down. I had an idea that maybe it was the percentage of the audio track occupied by the copyright material, so I tried a different mix of bass and backing. I think it sounds a bit lame having the bass so high though; it worked better as part of a balanced mix, but if this is what it takes to keep my video live then I'll live with it.
Great Job! Tell me about your Jazz Bass. I noticed the noiseless pickups and the wheel truss rod adjustment. I’d never seen the wheel on a Fender before.
Thanks! Hi there, yes well spotted; the noiseless pickups and spoke-wheel adjustment are both features of this Jazz model. Its an American Elite Jazz, which replaced the the American Deluxe a few years ago. The Deluxe had N3 pickups though. The Elite has also been discontinued now and replaced by the 'Ultra' series, which doesn't have the wheel adjustment, they've gone back to the standard allen key method on the Ultra
Thanks. Yeah, I could have done it a bit differently I suppose, but I'll probably never play it again. But you're right; there's always something I could do better or different.
You can shut down everything but the bass and vocal and this tune would still sound great. You nailed it great tone amazing musicianship.
Great tone and playing Sarah.
Rock it Sarah!awesome.
Nice, clean smooth lines, excellent boost level, perfect tone, great for reference. This is a well done video.
Thanks very much. I had a lot of fun getting creative with this video.
The extra notes and original bass lines are awesome! :-)

Thanks very much; I'm glad you like my choices. I just choose songs that catch my ear, although its usually 70's stuff. Must be my age! :)

@@SarahJonesBass it’s all good im younger and American and use wack slang! thanks again for the tunes!
great cover...and there is no better sounding note on the bass guitar as the 3rd fret "C" on the A string...
Thanks.
An open E can be pretty awesome too, if you crank up the volume enough.
Good job, during the verse don't mute the notes let them ring
Thanks. Yeah, I could have done it a bit differently I suppose, but I'll probably never play it again. But you're right; there's always something I could do better or different.
I'm not sure about this one, as it has a great vocal which doesn't require the extra bass - sorry!
Comment duly noted. But I didn't play it to add extra bass, I played it because its a great tune and I wanted to play it.
Great tune. Great bass. Just learned this on my bass. Thanks.
Awesome as always, thank you
