Mannnn, these hololive OPs keep making me come back. Also it’s cool that a Zykos alternative came out. Zykos has been my favorite switch. The nice large rounded bump was incredible, and paired with the nice sound signature it made for a perfect pairing. My only gripe with them was just the price. 2+ dollars on a switch is an insane price, and they had failure rates… on a 2 dollars switch! I wouldn’t ever recommend them to anyone, and tbh I would have a hard time recommending them to people who like tactiles. Hopefully a V2 comes out and closes the game between them. But, none the less these Neapolitans are definitely gonna be my main recommendation to anyone who’s interested in tactile switches.

The good thing about the neopolitans is that you can use them in a hotswap board! Zykos and Bykos dont work well as the leaf isnt held down by the panda housing correctly! Although they seem far clackier than the zykos or zybos
gotta try creampaca silents. its far and away the best franken switch that I've found and I use it almost exclusively now. cream housing, alpaca silent stems. filmed.

I like them a lot, compared to the zykos i have (made with glorious panda) i like the boba fetts better but im sure others may not agree. PREFERENCE and all that bullshit, would love to see you try those Shoobs and see what you think
I like them except the bottoms suffer from poor construction. The bottom housings on mine all had soft latches, meaning they wouldn't grab onto the plate like they should and ALL 40 of them got pulled with they keycap! Some of them even had cracked latches so using them became even more of a hassle. I'd wait for more of these to be made before I'd buy again. The poor construction of the bottom housings are a HUGE disappointment.
i just got them they are insanely awesome in my first ever custom keyboard build im upgrading from a ducky 1 2 mini with kailh box jades the only issue ive had with them so far was the stems fit SNUGGLY into keycaps so when i pull off a keycap usually the switch comes out too but that may be a keycap issue (NICEPBT classic beige cannon keys)
i want to buy a tactile switch(kiwis) but idk how i will feel with those switches because rn im using a liner switch (gataron opitcal silver in a gk61) any help u can give me shoobs if so thank you so much (btw love your videos looking for more :)
you should try touching a board with tactiles if you have access to one so you can decide whether or not you’ll like tactiles in general. from there you can get an idea of what you like from reviews & comparisons with other switches. if not you can get a switch tester or… you can do what i did and just take the plunge lol
hey shoobs, instead of filming each sound test every time why not have one standardised collection of clips for each your switches since you test on the same board on the same position every time or maybe you do this already idk
I was thinking the same thing, but I think it might be better doing it the way that he does because then it'll show the variation of the switches and that not every single switch sounds the same. Like one batch of the switches could be a bit different that another and this way it could show the possible differences, although it does seem like a lot of work
