Having tried both, yeah, the fake ones are surprisingly good.
Someone should license the manufacturer of the fake ones with a brand so they can stop being fakes and become their own thing.

honestly, i think the main sound difference isnt the switch itself, its the wood keyboard you have compared to the other keyboard you got

Since Invyr never disclosed their manufacturer for the Pandas, these could very well be using real Panda housings

Case and keycaps affect the sound, you should have tested both switches on the same board
The comparison with the blindfolded friends woudlnt have been as good tho

@@zachrichardson7099 just make 1 board with half of the fakes on one side and the other half of the swiitches on the other side, position of the switch on the board affects sound and feel as well but not as much as a completely different board would. The holy pandas sound much better in this comparison but I dont know how much of that is from the actual board. One of them is wooden and will sound different to the metal version even with the same switches and Keycaps.

Both boards have different conditions and factors that would effect the sound when comparing lol

Yeah it's not that much more work to just swap switches after the first test. For accuracy it should have been done. Also lubing both would have been a good idea

I have the fake ones. Lubing them is absolutely essential. They're the best tactile switch you can get for the money. Comparing them between Drop's and Glorious' Pandas, when the fake ones are lubed and filmed, they not only surpass the two but beat them to a bloody pulp when you consider the price.
I also made a batch with 35g springs just for the heck of it. Don't lmao. The tactility just disappears.

Real Holy Pandas sound really really nice and calm. normally it annoys me hearing people click keyboards but Holy Pandas sound very nice and i enjoy hearing it

youre also the kind of guy (i guess) who wouldnt build yourself a keyboard because its not worth the money. i dont say you dont have the money, i say its not worth it for you. makes sense when you dont want to waste too much but some like to spend a couple hundred dollar to get the best keyboard they could buy
Conclusion: everyone who is convinced to buy something from kbd also rathe buys the original holy pandas
that freaking sound of space-bar on real holy pandas is so thick.
You can actually wash the keyboard with water if you need too, but you would have to wait about 2/3 days for the whole water to evaporate, it will not damage the pcb unless you actually plug it in.
Usually they got like the blueprints and make the cheap ones. Same design, cheaper materials. I love your content

I'd say the fake holy pandas didn't sound all that bad compared to the real ones surprisingly. The difference is in the real og holy pandas they sound a bit deeper and smooth while the fake ones sounds a bit lighter with some light rattles but not that noticable
Also the case makes a big difference. The wood case is a high profile than the aluminum case and absorbs sound better. Also the grey keycaps seem to be XDA profile while the pink keycaps are OEM profile. That would also make a difference. The rattling sounds come from the stabilizers, which were most likely not clipped and bandaid modded.

Nice video, tho testing switches on a differend boads isn't such a good idea. The best scenario would be just swap switches on the same board, to get the most correct result. Otherwise other variables come in place.
you know what, being totally and being a more so budget-oriented person, i'd actually consider buying them, of course, if i did and anyone asked i'd for sure say they're fake, but for someone new to the hobby. they actually sound kinda nice

@@Dukedennisrizzing Wood would probably absorb most of the sound due to the fibers in it, while aluminum is less able to absorb sound without adding foam in the case, since sound waves bounce off of metal.

i think this is not 100% accurate in the sound comparison, because is not the same keyboard, that can change the sound, what you have to do is change the switches in the same keyboard, that is 100% accurate to comparison.

I use Feker Tactiles myself (they have removed the Invyr branding on their switches) and they are totally fine to be a switch on their own without fake marketing as Holy Pandas. Fekers > browns any day bruh.
