I hate racism and homophobia, although I myself am heterosexual and live in Russia (by the way, in the USSR there was no racism - remember). dnice that is true, but in this concert, he was having throat issues, he had ongoing issues with his throat and voice for a while, that was one of his first symptoms, and according to one of the documentaries I watched, was the reason for him visiting the Dr often and getting the test done. In the documentary they said that because he had HIV, his weakened immune system coupled with singing he kept getting a throat infection. It’s sad he was so talented and even though his voice was not 100% at this concert, he was still better than most, I would have loved to see him perform live in person.

I was 15 at Live-Aid, un-concieved in my father's scrote at the time of the release of this album, 1970, I entered this realm. the truth was he wasnt diagnosed with aids until 1987- he may have had the virus but he did not know it yet-
they manipulated the story so the lead up to LIVE AID was that much more spectacular-

dnice that is true, but in this concert, he was having throat issues, he had ongoing issues with his throat and voice for a while, that was one of his first symptoms, and according to one of the documentaries I watched, was the reason for him visiting the Dr often and getting the test done. In the documentary they said that because he had HIV, his weakened immune system coupled with singing he kept getting a throat infection. It’s sad he was so talented and even though his voice was not 100% at this concert, he was still better than most, I would have loved to see him perform live in person.
