Saw Brian May perform this last night. He said "I remember when Freddie used to stand next to me and sing this", and then began to play... brought the entire audience to tears. It was so beautiful.

The funny thing is, if you pay attention to the lyrics, it makes more sense that these words came from Mary Austin, because the fact is, Freddie leaves Mary. This theory came from Peter Freestone, he was Freddie's personal assistant for 12 years and one of the few people that freddie can trust and know each other very well, very interesting theory, blow my mind.
Sorry if my English was not very good.

A few singers try, but there is not any comparison. But I feel Rami Malek, that portrayed Freddie in Bohemian Rhapsody, did a fantastic job, and in my heart, I know Freddie's Spirit was with him. Rami certainly deserved the awards that he received, and he didn't try to replace Freddie. Rami did it in Honor and Tribute for Freddie. 💞Blessings to You and Your Family Debbie 💞💞 From Illinois USA 💓🇺🇸 October 10, 2022

In 1991 I didn't know much about Freddie. I knew he made good music and I knew a lot of Queen songs, but he never stood out to me. On the day his death became public I visited my girlfriend. Entering the living room I saw her parents. Both were crying her eyes out, they couldn't hardly speak. On TV his death had been anounced a few minutes ago. I immediately knew Freddie was no ordinary rockstar. R.I.P.

IMHO, this is the saddest of all songs.
I think that there are two reasons why this song has almost 25 million views and why it gets to so many of us. First, I think that we all want to be loved by someone the way Freddie loved Mary. I don't think many of us ever get to really feel that kind of love. We want it. We have an expectation of how it's supposed to feel. But do we have it? To those of you who do, consider yourself richly blessed.
    Secondly, when he sings:
"When I grow older I will be there at your side to remind you how I still love you..."
We can hear his love for Mary in his voice and in the crowd's voice; they knew. It's the kind of love most of us only dream of, or have but don't recognize. There is no doubt that Freddie loved Mary, would always love Mary, and really did want to grow old with her, a Robert Browning kind of old: "Grow old along with me, the best is yet to be." Although his body felt one way, it was clear that his heart was hers and hers alone and wanted to grow old along with her. But he didn't get to grow older. He was only 45 when he died., and that is just so damn sad for so many reasons.
Freddie was a star in life and is now a star in the heavens. In honor of what would have been his 70th birthday in 2016, the International Astronomical Union confirmed that asteroid 17473, a 3.5km-wide ball of black rubble on the other side of Mars, shall henceforth be known as “Freddiemercury.” He'll always be a true rock star.

Look up Brendon Urie cover Queen songs. Heck, just look up Brendon Urie in general and listen to some of his covers. I'm not saying hes Freddie Mercury, however, Talent exists like this in 2020. No one will ever replace Freddie. But let's not turn a blind eye to the talent that's right in front of us as well :).

I saw Brian May play this live, almost this time last year before the world shut down. It was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. They had Freddie on the big screen to sing the final verse and it brought me to tears. Queen will forever be one of my favourite bands. They created something that is nothing short of pure magic.

Forgive me, but bringing in that lambert guy to sing Mr Mercury’s vocals kinda killed it for me. Like Journey bringing in Pineda to sing Perry’s vocals. Should not have been done. Sorry, just the way I feel. When the originals are so outstanding, just let it be. Kinda ruins it.

How one man can control an audience just with his voice. A voice taken too early from us. Queen will live on forever and I'm glad to have been around to hear the true voice and not just repeats. Freddie was our Queen

His presence. He commands, captivates, gives it his all and more. His music was his reason to live. And he brought it to his fans with such emotion and passion. He had so much talent he could have quite easily been a Opera singer, as we well know. Glad as you are, to have there, travelled along with his career and success. I’ve always thought his skills grew as he explored more in music. Loved him. He was great, irreplaceable and he knew this. That was the faith he had in himself and his music. Brilliant
