From experiences in school I have had teachers who have embraced creativity and were fun, and while I've been fortunate to not a teacher quite like this, I could see how having someone telling you what it wrong and not wrong could wear a person out. Roger does a brilliant job at giving sympathy for a person we might not necessarily relate to in every way.
I think it just boils down to that if you take on the programming from school / the system, you become the wall supporting the system's version of the nature of reality.
