In my opinion, Queen is the best live performer band ever in the history of rock music. RIP FREDDIE MERCURY, YOU ARE THE GREATEST LIVE PERFORMER AND FRONTMAN EVER!!! ❤️👏🎉
And it's love all over again. All the time every single time. I started to listen to Queen at 12 years old. I'm 46 years old. They are literally the sound track of my enire life. Every single song reminds me a moment in my life. Freddie Brian Roger John. Music is an amazing thing. You gave me so much. For ever happy with you. Grateful.
I listen to Queen everyday as well and even when I’m in the car when I’m driving . I just can’t get enough of. I love them all but Freddie is mesmerising ❤️❤️
Loudest volume in the car while I drive, to have an own private party. I don't give a shit what people have to say. Queen is life. Freddie makes me happy ❤
Don't get me wrong, Live Aid was amazing, but THIS one is just the BEST live performance of any group EVER. The true meaning of the word "music" is represented in here. MASTERPIECE.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the greatest live performance ever. Effortless class. What a band these four were. I was lucky enough to see them twice and I’ll never forget them.
Sometimes when I feel sad, I come here and watch Freddie and Queen perform. it reminds me that even with difficult circumstances, there’s beauty to be found in this world. Thank you to all the musicians out there
Freddie Mercury knew what he wanted and he GOT IT!!! MAN, WOMAN and I'll leave the rest to your imaginenation!!! I LOVE Him and I don't think that I'm alone!!!
David Boyce A group of scientists studied Freddie’s vibrato: “moved faster and more often, than opera singer, Pavarotti” Freddie was not vocally trained, and yet, no one can match his vibrato. And...possibly the best octave range
Michele O'Brien Imagine if he'd had formal training 😱 It wouldn't sound as wonderfully Freddie-ish, but the prowess would have been even more out of this world
Brian , John and Roger absolutely brilliant the best I have ever seen and then there is Freddie the magician, mesmerising greatest singer and front man ever . I listen to Queen every single day . ❤️❤️❤️❤️ it’s 30 th June 2024 today . ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
100% and I'm someone who used to hate listening to live performances...but there are just certain bands/artists that have this energy that comes out during live performances and have ways, like ad libs, of making the song sound so different from the studio recording, in a good way, where it's almost a different song or at least gives u a different perspective on that song. This vibe is so different than the studio version...feels more emotional and relatable. Another song I heard recently (not new, just new to me) that gave me a whole new perspective on a song was Bon Jovi's acoustic version of Living on a Prayer...completely changes the song...Disturbed doing SoS was the first time I actually paid attention to the lyrics...I'd heard the original 100x cuz that's the music my parents listened to, but the lyrics never stood out to me til David sang it. I cried the first 10x (prob more) I listened to it. I just love when someone can revinvent a great song the right way and Queen does that so well in this performance 👏
I just can't wrap my head around how well this band performed, no bullshit, no live autotune, just true musicians really creating a piece of art together all at once while on the spotlight, on top of a stage performing for thousands of people in front of them! Just the way they can really focus their minds together in such musical syntony to create something so beautiful, so special and so rare that even artists 40 years later could never dream of performing, even with all the advancements in technology that should allow them to.
that is because these band members were highly intelligent and incredibly good musicians when they were in their late teens unlike most of the crap that is produced today by the likes of Covell and others . Nothing IMHO will ever be better than Queen Live or Studio there is no better music ever made. The only persons who ever came close to Freddie Mercury was George Michael and Paul Rodgers of Free fame.
I feel like it's because all of the greats dabbled in all styles of music rock, blues, classical, gospel, ... Most people stick to one genre and can't really stand out if you get what I'm saying. Plus these people had ideas in their head, at least one band member needs to have some kind of vision, if nobody does then you'll just end up being a pub band/cover band.
Freddie is a special talent there are very few artists today able to sing this well without autotune, similarly, there were very few artists back then able to sing as good as him live. He has one of the best voices ever and is an amazing singer and performer.
They just don't make 'em like that anymore. I've seen Hendrix, the Doors, early Pink Floyd, early Rolling Stones, Alice Cooper, King Crimson, Jethro Tull, the Moody Blues . . . I saw Queen in Toronto in 1978 and they were better than all of them. In fact, I've only seen two bands who were better in concert than Queen.
lol I work in entertainment and sometimes meet people who worked with him, hearing their personal stories and knowing about some of his hangouts makes me feel more connected to it all .
It's hard for me to process that this concert was 40 years ago. When I watch this video I feel like it happened yesterday, last month, last year, not 40 years ago. Unbelievable
Garth Brooks is the only person that can draw and engage a crowd like that. However, far as vocals go, he is not in the same league as Freddie Mercury.
This is the best ever live footage of Queen. It was filmed in Montreal in 1981. Moblevision developed technology to create a traveling IMAX show with a 5 story movie image. They approached Queen about filming them and eventually Freddy agreed. They wanted to shoot all band members so they used 8 cameras. They had to rotate 3-4 of 8 cameras each filled with with a 10 minute roll of 35 mm Kodak film. They also had people running back and forth to the cameras and a guy next to each cameraman to load the film and pull the focus. The cameras used double anamorphic lenses to squeeze as much detail onto the film as possible. There was no way to say take 1, take 2, etc. when filming so automatic slating was used to create an ID tag for every shot of film. It was the first time automatic slating was ever used. Many years later 700 Apple Mac G5’s spent one MONTH processing the film. A computation compared each frame with the ones before it and the ones after it to remove dirt, scratches and some of the defects of the original filming.
Just discovered Queen in 2021. Am 73, never watched them, heard about them. Live in USA, just never listened to their music. But now like to listen to their music.

Roger Taylor is fucking killing it with his voice and drums , its a masterpiece how they create this piece of art. approaching the end, was just taking everyone on the edge of their performance, they are sooo much grooved into it and still every single one on the stage is perfectly synced as hell. blown away every time I listen, cant stop admiring my love for Queen

Such a talented group of musicians all around. Obviously Freddie is probably the best male vocalist ever. But my god Roger Meadows is sucha beast. His backing vocals are second to none and to be able to sing the higher harmonies to Freddie and drum at the same time, incredible.
By that year they had like ten years of constant touring. So he developed that special type of singing on stage. It's defferent to the studio and early years shows...

Roger's backup vocals are insane...I think nearly every Queen song is better live than the studio versions
They sure are.
Yes they are full of energy and talent not restricted as in studio recording
GoBerzerk
They are one of two or three artists I feel this way about.
Love of my life isn't I didn't listen to the studio one cause the live version is meh and the studio version is so much better
his voice tones is insane... my god !!!

@@sitgesvillaapartmentneilsc7924 невероятная преданность музыке и публике...

Fantastic information.
Wow! Had no idea…
Thanks for the info!
