Always love these trucks. I put the SS wheels on my 99 Sierra for about 18 years. Now went down to a 18 inch wheel tire package trying improve the ride some. These GM trucks are a good reliable platform. Rarely see one these now but yours is super clean and nice.

Nice truck I have a 2005 SS Silverado and I love her to death. I believe you have a 2006 SS (production should be in 2005) the Hoods are a little taller, and front grills are a little bit different and has drum brakes in the rear. From 2003-2005 SS are AWD fully loaded and in 2006-2007 they are RWD and Chevy gave the option for drum brakes and even cloth interior. I have a friend that has a 2006 and we compared the two. Enjoy you bad ass truck.

I agree about the loud drone I'm 21 and I had a 6.0 sierra with dual flowmasters and wasn't it cool when I bought it. I traded it in for a Denali quiet is good for you and the family!
Awesome ride. I picked up an 06 last year with a sweet custom built car trailer. The guy I got it from was a super chevy show winning restoration class winner of best in show in multiple cars ect.. He had like 12 cars at the place I bought the truck all show room quality 30s-60s awesome cars 2 57 chevys, 62 impala, rumble seat Model A and much more and he said he got it from Mark Martin the Nascar racer. He was near cha. NC so could be true and he was an 80 year old car guy so why would he lie but who cares its cleaner than your yours (No Offense) and runs and drives/Tows great. I have an Impreza for a daily cause it loves gas but I still drive it more lol its fun and can throw 4x8 plywood in it just in case you fix more than cars

Getting one soon, well actually I have access to it anytime. My sister is going to pass down her 2007 Silverado SS, original owner, to me. I have done all her maintenance and know what it needs, has over 200k miles all in Cali.
My daily is a 05 GMC 4wd SLT crew cab. Im 45 so I love all the options, mine has everything this truck has but its not a SS. The SS just looks way better and the extra 50 horses is nice. Clean truck 👌

I’m looking into getting a cateye. Really wanting a crew cab but I have more options to choose from if I decide to get an extended cab. How well do car seats fit in the extended cab? I’m 6’2 and need to fit a front facing and rear facing car seat in the back
They fit ok but not the best obviously. I put two car seats in but didn’t put any behind the drivers side. Ultimately why I got rid of it was not enough interior space for my family of five to be comfortable. Loved the truck, just didn’t like the premium gas/MPG and limited interior space. Looks great just not practical for some imo.

How plan on buying an ss with 190k miles on it, is it a good idea? And would the truck still be running solid or would it start to get some problems by then.
It all depends how well it was maintained. I would make sure the engine is not smoking and don’t have any knocking or ticking sounds. Make sure you you go underneath it and make sure you don’t see any major leaks. I’m not afraid of high mileage vehicles but just have to make sure you inspect it well.
I’m looking at a 04 ss awd guy selling is an older gentleman so I’m confident that’s it’s been taken care of he wants 15k is that reasonable for it having 111k miles thanks in advanced

Mine was at 110,000 ish miles when I got it. Those trucks go well over 200,000 miles with little to no issues if well maintained

It’ll be super tight. Not worth it for a big family in my opinion. I ended up getting a bigger truck and the extra rear space is way better.

3.73 if I’m not mistaken on the RWD I know for certain the 2003-2005 AWD has 4.10 front and rear.

I do not and have not. Sorry. I would think there should be a drain valve at the bottom of the radiator but not 100%

It’s depends on how much power you are planning on making. Several people are swapping to a 4L80. From I hear its a fairly easy swap and inexpensive.
