Behind seat access for storage, some people like to mount speakers/Amps back there.
“Hifonics” is visible in video. It’s a car stereo amplifier and is best outta sight. Ez to access when seat folds down. Vs unbolting the seat taking it out to access behind. Kapeesh?
I just completely removed the back seat from my 96 and put 2 15's back there
You can also squeeze a small mattress sideways back there

So when you do this the seat isnt locked in the upright position anymore you don't think that is dangerous for people riding in the back seat
I just took the seat out. Its my work truck. Milwaukee packout sits nice behind the driver's seat.
Big ups for the packout system. Best set I've ever owned. I grabbed the electricians packout backpack also. Freaking amazing!

I would replace the back seat with a front seat if you wanna go this route.
I carry some bulky items that cannot get wet as i dont have a cap on back.
Hopefully i can build a better storage box on back. IDK.
This way of cutting the retention bar is not ideal or practical without a lock mechanism i.m.h.o.

Ok I have an 04... but I can't really see a use for this. Becsuse there isn't a while lot of room behind the seat. And you could just put things on the seat if you need to.
He's probably always adjusting his Amps or is always having to mess with them due to the shitty installation. I have 2 amps behind my seat as well but mine isn't cut down. Havnt seen those amps in 3 years

Hey I got a 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD regular cab there is a center seat that doesn't fold down.
I wish you would make a video on how to get that to go up and down so there's kind of like a center console😂
You have to replace it with one that does flip unbolt the driver and passenger seat and it picks up right out of it then bolt it all back in

@@alockworkorange7296Probably was a safety improvement. Those anchor points in cars for child seats are serious $hit. That seat not moving may have something to do with it not flying forward in a collision.

I’ve never done it because I’m not lazy and I’d take the whole seat seat out and put a 60/40 seat back in. I guess I am lazy though since I haven’t done that so far, and my amp is mounted to the floor 🤷🏽♂️

Definitely do not mount your amplifier behind the seat like this guy did they need air flow I would rip all that out and do it the right way before it anything bad happens.
