    What charger would you go with? The Turbo, Rapid, or Standard?

    Mark are you happy with your ridgid tools and batteries? Do you like ridgid platform are the tools pretty reliable?

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes, I've been happy so far. I don't have any of their drills or impact drivers. However, I have a 3/4" Ridgid Impact Wrench that's a beast! Stay tuned for that review...

      I've been using Ridgid tools for over 12 years and I've been extremely pleased with their performance. The lifetime warranty on the batteries and tools makes them a great choice for both prosumers and they are reasonably priced. I've used the drills extensively for over 12 years without experiencing any mechanical breakdowns. Now, with the brushless line, I anticipate even better performance. My current collection includes a wide range of the Ridgid handtool lineup and impact wrenches, nailers, a compressor, a rotor hammer, a miter saw, and a worksite table saw. Unfortunately, my previous Ridgid stationary table saw (and all the other Ridgid tools and everything else) was lost in a fire, but I'm confident that Ridgid tools are the correct choice to help me rebuild our cabin and shop. While I do have tools from other brands due to good deals, Ridgid is my go-to choice thanks to their reliability and the lifetime warranty. Lastly, my go to battery right now is the 18V 6.0 Ah MAX Output Lithium-Ion battery. It seems to be the best bang (price, runtime, and weight) for the buck, but it will be interesting how it compares to the new EXP line over time.

    for those with non LSA batteries, the slower you charge them, the longer life they will have. rapid charging batteries creates extra internal heat. i have rapid and slow chargers and anytime i dont need the battery full right now, i park them in the slow chargers.

    Mark Thomas!!! So, ditching Milwaukee for Ridgid? I KNOW that is not the case. 😆 I really like that cord reel. If you can get your link fixed, I will use it. If I were on the Ridgid platform, I think I would go for the Turbo charger? I am curious as to why they have the fan cut off early? Makita, DeWalt, Metabo HPT, all of those fans will run for a few minutes, after the battery is fully charged. Curious? I spotted Leo! He tried to make an entrance. Good stuff! 👍💪🇺🇸😊

      Hey George, hope you're doing well! Thanks for letting me know about the link. I just fixed it. The link is for the same brand reel, but it's a 60', because I couldn't find the 50' version. I've had the reel for about a 6 months now and use it all the time. I like how easy it winds up and has 4 plugs. It would also be great for camping.
      Thanks for stopping by, Leo says hi, lol!😂🙌

    Thank for the video. Didn't realize how much of a difference the chargers made. I have a bunch of the regular chargers since they come in the kits, but I'll have to buy one of the turbo chargers. Maybe even just the middle charger would be a good option. Thanks again.

    I have these 3 chargers plus the dual battery charger. Depending on my situation but normally I put the smallest amp battery on the regular charger and go up from there. I have all the Ridgid 18V batteries except the new 4A, the 9A Octane, and the 12A. I am hoping to get the new 4A battery between now and the end of the year on a sale.

      Cool! The new 4Ah looks like the new go-to for a nice balance of power and weight.

      yeah its the older gen 5x model. It came with my octane kit. I have it and would say its comparable to the rapid charger.

    They got 5 more different style chargers. Thar standard charger isn't what they first came out with. There is 2 others that's way better than that tiny piece of junk.
