I'm an Irish whiskey guy, I was given a bottle of Copper Dog for Xmas. I've got to say I really enjoy it, neat it is very smooth. I also tried it mixed with dry ginger ale and that was great too. The most important thing is that it's got me interested in trying other Scotch whisky.
Found this one a couple of days ago. VERY pleasantly surprised to discover how nice this one is on the nose and palate. Used it to season my ongoing 3+ year old infinity malt scotch bottle earlier tonight....... :)
Just recently got turned on to your channel and have enjoyed every video. I like this one so much I searched high and low in the NYC area but finally located a bottle in another borough. (Speysides tend to be my favs)... and Copper Dog is every bit as good as you described it to be. Thanks and keep the videos coming.
The Whiskey Dic I live on an Air Force Base, and they sell some pretty good whiskey from all over at great prices. I can get Lagavulin 16 for $75, no taxes. I'm trying to get them to stock some Japanese stuff, no luck yet 😑
We just got some Craigelaghie 13 and Cardhu 12, neither of which I'd ever heard of. About to try the Craig, wish me luck! I do Cyber Security, so I'll basically just a nerd.
Criagellachie 13 was early on for me. I think probably around episode 10. Cyber security for the air force sounds like a quiet job until not... then its fire and brimstone
I personally love the craft whiskey vids, I'm from northern NY and we have alot of good local craft whiskey that doesn't get much attention. I like that your bringing lesser known stuff to the Whiskey Dic table.
Keith Rose there is tons of great stuff here in NY. The McKenzie whiskey from Finger lakes distilling is great. And from Alexandria bay, there's St Lawrence spirits, and Dark island spirits. Both places make great stuff. And Dark island has a very special way of aging there whiskey that is unique to them.
Benji3008 I am up in the 1000 islands a lot and have never tasted that one, although I have had stuff from Clayton Distillery. I'm usually doing wine trails in the fingerlakes but ill have to be on the lookout for that one. Thanks!
I like the craft series. I get why the big names are important for the channel as they’ll draw more views, but I personally get the most benefit from reviews of lesser reviewed whiskies. Also, this may already be in your playlists (I haven’t looked yet), but would a playlist of all of your “stock it” reviews be possible?
Wow! I've not seen you this excited about a whiskey in a long time! I've got to get a bottle now! I saw it today, but bought some Glenrothes and son Crater Lake Rye
@@TheWhiskeyDictionary ever go to a total wines? There's one in Danvers and one in Everett, blew my mind. It's like a supermarket of booze. First time I was so overwhelmed I was just wandered around trying to remember what I was looking for.
I'm currently buying bottles to stock a home bar I'm having built, I currently have monkey shoulder for a mixer, im wondering if you could give me a couple other suggestions to use as scotch mixers? Thanks for your time.
This bottle was everywhere when I was going through airports this summer - pretty cheap too. Starting to think I should have giving it a chance😉 Nice review
Love the craft whiskey series. There are more craft distilleries here in Kentucky than you can shake a stick at. You did dump the rest of your J&B in a glass of coke in that episode and then there was the bourbon milkshake.
I like the craft series. It's not a gonna be around forever whiskey. 10 20 30 years from now, these will not all be around. I would like to buy a couple bottles ive come across and just put em up for my later years to enjoy when they are gone
Enjoyed the review... Im from SA and would love for u to do a review on Virgin Jane... we don’t get it here but has read about it... PS couldn’t help but keep on wondering what was lying on your kitchen table in the back ground...

Just bought some, and the wife and myself are enjoying it.

Thats great to hear! They were somewhat recently bought up and manu of the folks who started there were let go... kind of a sad story
I’m sorry to hear that. And thanks again for the videos. I’m learning a lot
I prefer the craft series, mostly because it exposes me to whiskey I've never heard of before. Keep up the good work!
Thanks! It's tough to film and research for them but it's been fun trying new stuff

Anything unique coming on the air force base? Also, what do you do for the air force? I have a couple friends who are enlisted

All good suggestions. I'll need to look into a few of these
Happen to buy this the other day, very happy with it, strangely for me I taste alot of orange and melted dark chocolate

Awesome! There's always a good story to go with any Whisk(e)y. I'll have to get me a Copper Dog and the whiskey to with it too lol
Just picked up a bottle today, local liquor store ordered it for me here in MA. Good stuff. On my third dram.☺
Where in MA are you? They have it at a few places near me

If you ever make it to Westboro you should visit Julios

Yup theres one in Shrewsburry as well. They're awesome

Chivas Regal would be OK as it could mix and be good on its own. Honestly I don't mix scotch very much

Tough to make that call on a less expensive bottle

Hah, that j&b was rough
I really enjoy the craft reviews as opposed to the mainstream. I'll be looking for Copper Dog. Well done.
They're fun :) lots of strange things happening
Can you review Dewars 15, 18 and 8 yr smooth line?

I just made a fool of myself - I mean Widow Jane 🤦🏼♂️
I'll probably get to that one soon. It comes up a lot
Sounds like you were a few Peach Copper Dogs' down in the credits montage. 😁
Hah! It was my fourth video recorded that day... things always get a little rough on bulk filming days
Great review... Where can I pick up a bottle of Cooper Dog here in the States? Can't seem to find it anywhere.
They have a website with a bottle locator I think
Will look and see.. thx
great bloppers!!
I love doing bloopers :)
I like the craft distillery reviews. Good Job.
Thanks Throttle!
Your review has me looking for Copper Dog. I must have it😱
Its tasty!
@@TheWhiskeyDictionary Where did you get it. I you don't mind.
I got it from the company, however I've seen it in my local store, Julios liquors.
Maybe check their website for a locator?
Good video. Now to find copper dog
They have a website with a store finder if I'm not mistaken.
awesome craft series. a guy at my local whiskey shop recommended it. it's delicious. loved the drink mix insight.
And away to the New Hampshire state liqour store I go.....
I've seen it at a number of places now. I bet you can find it
Sounds tasty. I love a smooth speyside every now and then.
