I saw him on this tour, somewhere near San Jose, CA in 1992. He said two words during the whole show: "Thank you." The guitar and piano did the rest of the talking. By the way, Terrana was a beast- his drum solo was an impressive feat of physical endurance.
2023 where yall aaaaat? Lol ive listened to him several years ago a LOT. He was in a frequent rotation on the pandora station i use to listen on the to and back from work. But some few years later now, he had completely slipped under the radar with me. So "re" discovering him and his work is amazing.
I saw Tony a lot during the 90's especially living here in SoCal. That was a great time to see him. But so is now. He's playing this song plus the entire Maximum Security album this friday at The Baked Potato. I saw him a lot there for Planet X and CAB shows now he's playing his solo stuff again. I love it!
Tony at his best always. So inspiring not to hear endless tapping and mindless arpeggios but sweet, awesome shredding.Up there with Gilbert,Romeo and the rest.
Masterful... I didn't notice till the end how bad ass the drums were too. I've always loved this song and this is my first time seeing the video of it. Awesome.
@Ihatemyusernamemore he plays together with Vinnie in Mind's Eye(1986) and the Maze (1999) albums, Tmac plays the Keyboards too, is a very talented musician
@kingdiamond69 I thought I was the only one who did the exactly the same thing. Not to diminish Vai or something, thats out of question. But dude, I needed to see Ol'Mac. I guess I was one of the 2 or 3 guys in the crowd who knew Tony. Funny fact: I look like him.
@francescometalhead1 Why do you think? Racial prejudice is still very strong in this world, unfortunately, the human being who is said still behind in their DNA that heritage damn!
When he played along side Steve Vai, Vai always introduced him as the incredible Mr Tony McAlpine. That says it all.
tony is the only one who can play in a concert wearing his pyjama
This is really something else. Mr. Macalpine is light years ahead in terms of tone, technique and composition. Ass kicking performance.
And he is as good on the piano as he is on the guitar. Some people just have talent overload.
As god-like as Tony is in this, that drummer is totally bringing it too. Amazing stuff
its fking Terrana ...

Tony will always be one of the greatest of all time!!!
Wow great guitarist, nice tone, every note on spot. And the drummer! Jeez! Excelent.
His picking control and technique are super precise. Reminds a lot of Yngwie. Outstanding guitar player with lots of feeling and also great pianist!
Yngwie who?
Macalpine & Terrana = Perfect sound
The complete show is one of the gratest shows i've ever seen!
The Master in action.Melody and shredding in perfect harmony:)

That Drummer is workin hard
@Guitarist2095 It sounds a tad compressed in this one. But the studio version sounds a lot better tone wise.
@laxfromstreets wow!, thank you!!! \m/
Wicked!
I have Washburn with same tremolo
アンプ直結か?
てくらいシンプルなサウンドやな
@kingdiamond69 I thought I was the only one who did the exactly the same thing. Not to diminish Vai or something, thats out of question. But dude, I needed to see Ol'Mac. I guess I was one of the 2 or 3 guys in the crowd who knew Tony. Funny fact: I look like him.

that is a beautiful guitar, anybody know what model that is?
This is A real big mac attack!
Tony is soooooooooofa-king Bad-Ass!
En mi opinión Malmsteen es mucho mas técnico pero Tony tiene creatividad y es muy rápido definitivamente uno de los mejores del mundo.
Yeah it sure reminds me of Vinnie Moore..though he is more spectacular!!!
@francescometalhead1 Why do you think? Racial prejudice is still very strong in this world, unfortunately, the human being who is said still behind in their DNA that heritage damn!
Who is the drummer?
1:40
All I can do is laugh. Jesus Christ!
tony had swag before it was cool, check the snapback and the oversized clothes
大分ミスが多いが、これもライブならではと見るべきか?
maybe the toughest tune ever to play...........that or Guitars Still Suck by Bumblefoot
That is NOT easy to play either on drums or guitar...Ridiculous....Great!
Why did the other band members had to be blond?
He is an excellent guitarist, but his image does not reflect his abilities.
Who is the bassist?
Who is the drummer???
Mike Terrana
