Original drums, on the Maximum Security album were played by Deen Castronovo, now drummer with the band Journey. In Tony's 1st album, Edge of Insanity, Steve Smith (previously from the band Journey (before Deen Castronovo), plays on the 1st album. Both Steve and Deen's drumming on those 2 albums was exceptional, and has been an influence for almost 30 years to drummers of heavy metal, progressive, and neo-classical rock. They have truly stood the test of time. Aquiles is amazing!
Now I have seen the swedish guitarist Tommy Johansson play this song, and now I have seen my favourite drummer, Aguilles Priester, do the same song. I'm more than happy! I'll sleep well tonight!
Very nice drumming and excellent tone as someone else pointed out! Gustavo Carmo did a wonderful job as well. These are fun to watch, thanks for posting and producing these Mr. Priester and friends!
Deen Castronovo originally played drums on this track. amazing. MAXIMUM SECURITY album were played dividedly with 2 drummers - Deen Castronovo and Atma Anur.
@@suprchickn7745 - I'm fully aware of that. I bought this recording on both cassette and vinyl back in the 80's when it was first released, still have them. So I will say again.. after hearing this song (probably more times than Mr. Priester), I see his rendition here like a burnt steak. It sounds too flashy, rushed or overkilled to my ears.

Amazing playing by Aquiles! The fact that the original drummer Deen Castronovo can play like he does and sing like Steve Perry still amazes me!

Good.. but a bit flashy, somewhat overkilled.
It is a 80's piece and very common back then. Shrapnel Records is full of drums like this.
