I did like her own song but I loved her live wire performance. She is a true rockstar and she definitely needs to keep playing more rock songs which is her thing
Casey has the most versatility and range with her style and vocals. If she doesn’t win, she’ll still become famous.
100% the most pure talent. Sadly the Idol audience doesn't favor rock, especially female rock artists.

That's the great thing about winning she doesn't get stuck in that goofy contract. I still wanted her to make the finale over Grace but it's all good she'll be fine after the show.

IKR. But I have a feeling Chayce will win because that kind of voice seems to overpower on American idol. But not only does the winner get signed so they could still sign her if they wanted to which all of them are deserving. Best of luck Casey.

Agree. Katy said "I want you to sing soul so your personality shines through" 🤦 the more she talks the more convinced I am that she's out of touch with reality. When she made Casey sing the soul song Casey sounded way less confident/more timid than with the rock songs, even her body language looked less relaxed, etc. I really can't stand Perry anymore, if she wrote her own songs and produced her own music she might not be so out of touch. Plus she said on a previous episode "us artists are stubborn" yet she has no respect for the wishes or techniques of other artists she just wants to be an art snob
@@kims7287 During her audition, I said to myself "she's awesome, but they'll try and change her" and I was right. Just like you said, Katy is so out of touch. She knows nothing about music besides over produced, over auto-tuned, pop crap! I wish Casey would have got to rock out EVERY week. I guess I'll settle for her introducing my favorite band (Motley Crue) to those who haven't heard them before or have only heard songs like Home Sweet Home. I'm 49 and I literally still listen to them every single day! 🤘🤘🤘

Jennifer Hudson came in seventh and has an Academy Award and there are many people who have come in FIRST that have never been heard from again so it sort of tells you it is kind of insignificant who actually wins American Idol. If somebody is great and different and places in the top eight that really is all that is important. Then it is all up to them to become stars.
I never paid attention to American idol in the past but that's funny, I honestly thought Jennifer Hudson won because of how popular she became.

I think if she would have sang a classic like Funny Valentine versus the Motley Crew song, she may have had a better chance of being in the finals. Still, her voice is so smooth and vocal range is incredible, and so easy to listen to over others who seem to shrill to reach them. I believe she's truly amazing, someone will sign her and she'll have a great career ahead of her.

Are you kidding? Chayce Beckham is the most inferior vocalist by a long shot and even he knows it! The judges messed up by not being honest and punting this out - instead giving him praise though he didn't deserve it.
