That climb at the beginning of that final day was a challenge but when you get to the top, the views and the landscape made it one of my favourite sections.
Thank you for sharing this hike. It was SO nice to see you two back on trail. I found your channel after you started the AT and followed that whole journey. As an aspiring AT Thru-hiker (hopefully’24), it’s sad when you follow others daily vlogs for months and then it’s over. Y’all put out such GREAT content. Don’t stay away again so long…even if it’s just a weekend trip. Oh yeah, y’all are a pretty cute couple too! Thanks again!
What a beautiful trail from start to finish. Congratulations on completing another long hike. Glad you had such a great time and look forward to your next adventure. Thanks for sharing!
Excellent videography and editing! I really enjoyed the "sheep reunion" and the views from the trail. Awesome trip! Thanks for sharing with us. I'm off to hike across Isle Royale this week. Looking forward to that. All the best. Looking forward to seeing your next adventure! Monk
The video you used for this final day on the trail was simply over the top. I did not realize that Scotland had such a great amount of natural beauty. When you paired the Ewe calling to her children to come running to her and paired the scene with my all time favorite music from a movie, it was almost more than I could take. "A perfect A/V match." You two people continue to show what it means to be "a match made in heaven." Thanks for sharing your 7 day journey in a gorgeous setting. Hopefully, you will be able to share a couple minutes of video from your special day in September. You are both truly blessed!
Scottish trails follow historic routes used for cattle droving, raids or along old military roads. That means glens, passes and bealachs. People take the path of least resistance and wouldnt have travelled the ridges and mountain tops. There is one challenge where you can set your own route and followbthe tops - The TGO challenge. A good resources is the website Scotways which lists all the heritage paths in Scotland. Lots of these aren't part of the waymarked trail network but may be part of the Cape Wrath trsil or the Scottish national trail. Some examples would be the thieves road from Fort William to Dalwhinnie or Comyns road to Blair Atholl. Scotland is blessed with these trails and the access code allowing is to access them and to camp.
I really enjoyed watching you guys walking thanks for sharing it's given me confidence for when i go in August, was doubting i could do it at 66 with a average level of fitness but feel more confident now bless you both ❤
So happy you enjoyed the videos! You got this! We will be back in 2024 taking it slower with Nicky’s parents who are 72! Definitely a walk that the whole family can enjoy 😊
My wife and I are doing the WHW in August. We have watched so many TH-cam videos for info but yours is by far the best we’ve seen. Thank you for uploading and congratulations to you both. Hope you enjoy Edinburgh, ATB from Newcastle !
I plan on hiking the West Highland Way next season in late April. Really need to say that your videos were the best I’ve watched so far showing the trail. Very good job showing the trail…
Another lovely video, I hope you make many more. Please do some life updates as I feel I know you as a couple, but didn’t hear from you for so long. Billie, (...from across the border in the north west of England!)
I have done this a few times and loved everyone so really enjoyed reliving it vicariously through both of you. Going again end of September😁 The statue at the end is 'sair feet' meaning literally 'sore feet'👍
Congratulations! Great to hear even seasoned backpackers found that hill out of Kinlochleven a struggle. I remember it well. Have an amazing time in Edinburgh.
Hey You Two! I absolutely loved the hike vlog. Please do more. I completed the latter half of the hike back in september and plan to do the whole 9 yards in the not too distant future!!! (all the best. Martin)
Really enjoyed watching your WHW journey. I completed it at the end of March and was certainly a bit quieter that u's had it. Thanks for taking us along. I hope u's enjoyed the rest of your time in Scotland.
Thanks for sharing dear Nicky and Ryan! My 7th day was very rainy and full of sheepshit on the trail..So very nice to see the landscape on a sunny day. 🌞 All the best to the both of you heart people!!
I really enjoyed your journey on the West Highland Way, how about Wainwright’s Coast to Coast across northern England on your next UK visit ? taking in 3 national parks including the Lake District.
Stumbled upon your channel and this was a joy to watch. You have great chemistry on screen and after following your WHW journey I feel like I've known you both for years! Safe flight back, looking forward to doing the WHW next May/June as it looked epic. Atb Andy
Congrats for finishing the trail. Well done. You have been really blessed with these beautiful views back to Kinlochleven and the surrounding mountains. Stunning. Hope you had fun in Edinburgh. It's an awesome city. There is a nice hike up to Arthur's Seat with a beautiful view to the the city. Maybe you already did it :-) Happy hiking
Great videos. Thank you for sharing. I love the views, the music, all your informations and of course the food 😅 I will walk the WHW in a few weeks. Can't wait for it. Greetings from Germany 🤩
Great wee series of vids, thanks for sharing! love the west highland way, think I'll do it again this year, would be silly not to only stay 20 miles from the start! btw, failte means welcome in gaelic, you pronounce it FAHL-CHA. If youse ever have the urge to return, google the Cape Wrath trail, more remote and quite a bit more serious of an undertaking, probably more inline with your long distance trails in America or Canada(though no where near as long mind, still only 200 miles). Need proper navigation and plan food though, starts in Fort William and goes to the north west corner.
I enjoyed this series guys, I’m glad I found your channel. Hopefully you enjoyed your stay in our wee country? Can’t wait to see where you’re off to next.
Loved this, thank you for sharing. I did the West Highland Way last year in 5 days and it was a killer. I highly recommend the Tahoe Rim Trail in California, that’s my favourite hiking trail in the world and I bet you’d love it!
Finally! Was beginning to worry you guys hadn't made it through the final day 😂 Doing the WHW for the first time this October, thank you for sharing your experience!
As a Scot I can say you did relatively well weather wise especially north of Tyndrum which is where everything usually turns to ****! 😆 Enjoyed following your trip.
Hey, that tent is a REI quarter dome 3. Got it back in 2019 and it has since been discontinued. We now have a Big Agnes Copper Spur UL3. Which is similar
Glad you made it. Congratulations! Mealaibh ur naidheachd! Fàilte is pronounced Fahl-cha, the ` elongates the vowel. Fort William is called An Gearasdan in Gaelic; The Garrison. Hence the name of your hotel. Na bi fada gun tilleadh. Come back soon.
Thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed every episode. Very inspiring!
Thank You for making time for us!
Thank you for the same thing :)
Thanks for the great Videos. Absolute perfect......

I did it this summer, 2023, aged 74, and on my own. I didn’t like the Loch Lomond stretch but those final days were brilliant.
Enjoyed coming along with you on your hike. Please keep us updated on future hikes or life events. We will miss you!
We are hoping to be able to post more updates!
