The weather in Scotland is notoriously moody ( re: rainy, fogy, misty, cloudy, cold) so we are doing our best to pack for West Highland Way + Great Glen Way (pretty sure we still packed far too much...)
I learned a lot from my trek on the Camino de Santiago and part of that was figuring our what I needed or didn't while on a trek. However Scotland's weather is VERY different with their famous midges and rain at a moments notice. While we have luggage transport I know that our kits (specifically B's lol) are a wee bit too heavy so we will make a followup video with what we ACTUALLY needed and found useful. More to come on that at the end of the West Highland Way series!

4 wheel suitcases are great in an airport or hotel…all those flat even surfaces etc. but suck on sidewalks, uneven surfaces that are everywhere else Those 4 wheels tend to make me crazy. That 4 wheel suitcase is prob not easy to handle when tilted into a 2 wheels pushing it beside you is not always convenient like pulling a 2 wheel.I usually regret taking the 4. It’s just cumbersome. I’ll be waiting to see how you do with it
So far so good! The Level 8 suitcase rolls just fine when using 4 wheels and/2 (wheels when pulling in a more traditional manor). ☺️
I was in Scotland during May/June, and they had a HEATWAVE and drought! I packed for four seasons, too, and had to buy more summer clothes and definitely more SMIDGE. It's been a bad year for the midges and ticks!!!!
It is so much hotter than we expected by the end of it! Scotland is getting warmer every year it seems. Thankfully we only had 1 rough day of midges - those lil dudes are INTENSE!
