I let mine run outside with the vinegar in it for about an hour. That gets rid of any possible mineral buildup throughout, and is a great jumpstart for the cleaning process. I also use filtered water and clean it about once a week, so I've never seen any of that gross looking buildup on mine.

Ive found that if you take an old toothbrush, wash it in the dish washer, you can use it for the little places to get the buildup. Then you just wash the toothbrush in the dishwasher again c: (i use it as a scrub brush for laundry stains too c:)

this is one of the worst parts about having a humidifier. they take sooo much work to clean and it's just a huge task to get the right supplies and my humidifier is super annoying to clean

To save time you can skip the vinegar and treat everything with a 4-1 solution of water and 3% hydrogen peroxide.

My question is, how can I wipe/scrub the inside of the water tank?? I have just a small hole and when I put my finger inside I can wipe some build up away, but I can't reach the rest of the inside.. I've already soaked it in vinegar, but not sure if it's safe to use if I can still see stuff that needs to be wiped
