Very helpful video. After scrubbing for 30 minutes yesterday with just dawn soap and a tooth brush with no results, I had given up, but definitely trying this today
I’m so glad I found your vid! I’m having trouble with the tiniest (1/8 of an inch) bit of pink stuff that’s lodged in an area that is hard to get. I will definitely try your method.
THIS IS WONDERFUL! My humidifier looks brand new! I have been using only vinegar for years, but the limescale was still there. I tried limescale remkvers but, no joy. THANK YOU😊 I wish i had taken before pics.
I was gonna say that mixing vinegar and baking soda basically cancel each other out and neutralize to create salt water but after further research the bubbling process with the carbon dioxide does help clean out gunk in places hard to reach. As long as people understand that you don't want to mix it before and think it's some awesome cleaning product.
Hi Stephane could you please give some information about where to buy that humidifier because my son got bloody nose to time to time so iam looking for that reason
How much build up did you have in the heating element (the grey part). I have the most build up there but idk if vinegar and baking soda for 30mins will be able to break it all down.
@@StephanieMcQueen thank you for the response! I tried it and was able to get most of it off. Will try again after letting it rest to get rid of the left overs.
Thank you for keeping this video under 5 minutes

That pink stuff may be mold. 😮 Disinfect with bleach & water. Check out Vicks Humidifier cleaning video.
Most helpful cleaning video ever! Just cleaned mine out and it's like brand new! Thank you!

Good morning 🌞 ❤️
White vinegar is so useful it’s insane.
I like this video thanks I'll try this !
Excellent tutorial. That said, how often do YOU clean your humidifier?
It depends how often im usuing it every month or few months!
Awesome video, thank you!
How much baking soda for the heating element? Super idea
That pink slimey stuff is a dangerous bacteria this one is so bad I would just get a new one and start over and then clean the new one 1 time a week
Thank you for this it really helped
Yay ! Glad it worked for you . Thanks for watching !
I have this exact same humidifier. Does yours leak badly sometimes? And if so could it be due to the mineral buildup?
@@sweetpea7455 I never had that problem. I do have a new humidifier now tho !
Just perfect
Why didn't this work for me 😢😢😢😢 I'm about to throw this exact same humidifier.
putting in the baking soda was fun lol

I got it at Walmart !

How often should we clean our humidifiers? Mine looks clean already so I just used water
I say every few months when it starts to build up !
I notice a little bit of pink stuff after 3 days. I clean mine after every water cycle (I think this might be the right phrase?).
If you mix baking soda and vinegar mix you actually neutralize them. So just use vinegar.
How did you pop the pice off that has the plug in i cant get mine off I have same one
If I’m understanding your question ! I removed the other side first . Then slid the blue clip up and the other side will remove !

I had quite a bit ! You can leave it for longer if necessary !

Hello good morning God bless.
can you use cooking vinegar?
I wouldn't because cleaning vinegar has a higher acidic level!
Nice
Is baking soda needed?
You can try just vinegar!
Mine just stinks, will it get that stank away after cleaning. Already hit it once with fabuloso
Ya it should! Vinegar is good for that
Your breathing in that becareful and clean more often, sooner

Warm mist humidifiers are a waste of time. The mist gets cooled off plus the heating element is a pain to keep clean.
Also very annoying music.
Who hurt you
