- This build will be finished someday, someday I tell you! Project Sherpa is back on the bench for more wrenching. This time John works on the shocks and getting the right hardware installed on them. But something just isn’t right. The ride height looks a little high. Then there’s the driveshaft install. Will it go smooth? There’s some trial and error in this build video. john i love that you quoted what mike rowe did to get the job he had on tv. they told him to talk about that pencil and he did. kudos to you!
The secret to getting those ball links in: is to put the hex driver in them, allign it horizontally above the capra shaft eyelets and press down on it untill the ball links start going in. Remove the hex driver and press them further in with your hands.Perfect allignment everytime.

Working on an scx10.2 with an xrta speed v8 trans/tcase comb, on f9s, with a 4dr rc4wd moave body.
When I'm not doing that I'm working on my almost 25000sqft course at the back of my farm in ottawa Canada! Getting set for the last comp of the season😑 snows coming soon.
Arrrrrr love the intro lol I'm currently building a custome 12.5 axial scx10ii raw builders kit for a Jconsepts Cadillac Escalade body I just put spacers in the longest set of rear links it's a great fit, sherpa is comming along nicely John 😉👍
Thanks for posting this! Exactly what I needed on this beautiful morning. Just got done swapping out shocks on my redcat gen 8 with some Desert Lizards. Hopefully these hold their oil 🤔🤘💥💯 also love the dad jokes and upbeat vibe

I usually use a smaller driver to line the inner shafts. Wiggle. jiggle . Push.
I always enjoy watching your tech and driving videos. Being rather new to the hobby (sport) I have so much to learn about RC. I’m going to be rebuilding my RC4WD King Off-road shocks since I blew them up on my last time out. I was looking to install a new light bar on my Wraith and found the broken shocks. So its going to be fix before improve. Hope you guys are doing good.
I live in Washington State, Western Washington. If I plant watermelons in April they do not mature by October and then they freeze. I guess what I am trying to say is that they take a long time to mature. I have seen people in my area successfully grow them but I think they are sprouting them in a greenhouse in February or March
I’m a nurse and I know lots of patient have been telling me that after the covid they’ve had so memory problems and it’s a 6shooter 😃
I just installed a set of those Dravtech shocks in my TRX4 and they feel much better than the stock emulsion shocks. I really like the way these shocks are built with a bladder inside so you can build them with no air mixed with the oil.
We all struggle with mental issues because we weren't designed to behave the way we are forced!
Yo John, you’ve got a set of Dlux Dravtech shocks. Order his offset shock caps you’ll love them 👍🏻 Oh, BTW dravtechs are a lil tight at first but will wear in perfectly.
Gave up on trying to make my Bomber go faster so am now waiting on my TLR 8ight-XE elite to arrive.
what are some of the things you have tried?
I got a hella good combo in my ryft. Now it’s the 2speed. But I’m using a 2700 puller pro long can with a castle copper head and I’m not shitting you. it’s like driving a crawler and I was not even trying to make it go slow

Istarted my melons ( cantaloupe watermelon) the last week of March….or after last frost in your area. I had 20 watermelon 15 cantaloupe the last week of august. North Carolina. And our southern mountain dialect could be classified as another language!!

I'm currently working on 5X kits as we speak, Axial SCXII kit/GMADE Sawback LS kit/Redcat Wendigo kit/Tamiya VW Beetle kit/Traxxas TRX-4 Sport kit not all at the same time I split my days up here & there. It keeps my mind occupied. I enjoy it. Great video BTW.

Those the dravtechs and the best on the market 💯.. as always amazing video..I’m working on a gspeed V3 my fourth one and putting a fmm and creeper T in it with a revolver, mamba x, G14,overlander winch, ar45 treal axles standard portal gearing from tgh,custom links from hardcore, Salinas bed, custom cut Mojave,vanquish kmo wrapped in some klr/m, and of course the dravtechs ,ierc front & rear bumpers.. gonna be a amazing c2 rig

Im building a carbon gspeed chassis. Vanquish ultra axles Team Garage Hack 2.Low trans and sensored 3100kv Tekin Roc 412 this will be the second time ive built this chassis

whats with the FMM, is that correctly iinstalled? i think the triangular aluminium bearing holder (dont know the name) should be inside and not on the spur side
i think your rear top links are also installed wrong!
Why are your upper rear links bend is down. Don't you want them facing up

What kind of axels and shocks are you using? The axels look like vanquish or super shafty kind of hard to tell on this phone.
Super shafty axles, dravtech shocks that I swapped to VP

They weren't sliding. Might have set on the self enough years to gell the oil, lol!

i thought sherpas didnt have wheels that turn...
I have too many project rigs.too many projects and not enough time or money to work on them.
