She looked at me and said with a straight face she did not want to be with someone who judged a woman by the clothes she wore. Needless to say we are getting married soon.

True Story Time. On Friday, July 27, 2001 Cake headlined a free concert at the Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta. I was a student at Auburn and wasn’t going to miss it for anything. Their 17th song that night was this new single they were about to release. They were going to play it but wanted audience participation. They taught us the Na-na, na-na, na-na. Na-na, na-na, naa-na… part and had the audience repeat it a few times. Apparently there was some chick on the front row that wasn’t doing it. Right in the middle of one of the na-na’s, John McCrea screamed “Everybody Stop!” Music halted and you could hear a pin drop. Well, not really but for that many people it felt dead silent. He says “everybody see this chick up here wearing the beanie? She’s not singing! Security, get her the F- out of here! You don’t get to be in the front row of my free concert and not sing along! See all those people back there? They would love to be on the front row!” And the band waited until she was removed from the show. Everyone booed her all the way out. Then they started up again and it was one of the best audience participations ever seen at any show. I bet the Na-nas could be heard in the whole city. Epic night.
I'm still kicking myself for having missed that show.

Listened to this album at the side of the road fixing a flat tire in driving rain. 5 people with luggage out of trunk to get spare tire. Put luggage in car to stay dry, 5 people standing in pouring rain with this pumpin' from the stereo. Tire fixed and back on the road, everyone singing the lyrics. Great memory, great album.

Landon Well this has more than 3x the views of any other Cake song, I'd say it's probably their biggest international hit.
One hit wonder, though, means they only had one popular song. So Cake doesn't fall in that category. She was basically dissing them.

I've been looking for this song/video for over 10 years now. I just yesterday found it. All I knew is that it was about people on the street listening to it and giving their thoughts on it. I love that feeling of looking for something for so long and finally finding it.

This song is catchy, easy listening and happy and hilarious and if you can't enjoy it then you are the mark of all these deadbeats in this video that sadly don't have music listening ability, are too crusty cynical and negative, or simply have mental problems blocking their enjoyment of life.
