You did the right thing taking the cab.
there comes a time in every journey, not necessarily a camino when you reach a point...it is astonishing how quickly you can take a taxi when it would take hours to walk! discretion is the better part of valor...you have been a warrioress on this journey, get a good night's sleep and be well tomorrow. many prayers!
Thanks you Bill
Tomorrow will be a better day!
Buen Camino!

Thank you Silvia ❤️
The bedbugs caught up to you…..boo!! That’s really awful Claudia. One of the couples that had them on our Camino got them at a pension. So, you just never know! You made the right choice today. And, don’t forget….2 stamps per day. :) 🇨🇦
I can't believe we were just talking about it the day before! And BAM they got me. Now fingers crossed I don't being them home.
Tad bit late in watching this and reacting since I know you already reached Santiago, but still, thought you should know I thought you did the right thing taking the cab!! I can imagine the stress though of seeing all the other pilgrims seeing you get off the cab while they walk and you're prolly thinking they're all judging you and whatnot, but they don't know you and what you went through the night before. I can even bet some of them wished they had the guts 😜Anyways, you did well, Claudia!! So proud of you!!
YES! Exactly that's how I was feeling. Thank you 😊
The problem with the bed bug thing, is that they don’t just appear at an albergue, they are carried to the albergues, by persons. Whose to know that you didn’t put your coat on a bunk in one town and carry it to another town. Similarly, whose to say you didn’t pick a tick on your trousers and carry it to an albergue. This is part of the reason for boot and stick lockers. I do not think it fair to entirely blame the proprietors of accommodations on any pilgrimage.
True
With a left knee the size of a water melon I took a cab to Melide too. Oh! The guilt!
Right?? Why did we feel so guilty? We absolutely made the right decision, there is no way you could have walked with your knee like that AND you might have made it worse!
How sad that the camino culture has evolved to the point that you feel like a cheater for making a wise decision. There are no cheaters on the camino. Only people who do it the way they need to or wish to. We share an experience getting to Santiago. There is no need to have the same experience or judge others'. You made the right call Claudia. Good for you.
🤗 thank you ❤️
You didn't miss much cabbing to Melide.
