I’d be interested to see a review of your packing list after you’ve walked. I’m sure you’ll quickly realise you don’t need as much. Most people do pack too much for their first camino.
All the writing part was made after my first Camino so a lot that I didn't need, but not too much.. obviously each time you'll learn to be more efficient!
I'm curious what you thought during and after the trek about the added weight from the "just in case stuff"? Did you regret it, or did you feel justified being it?
Sooo... being as stubborn as I am I did carry everything until the very end, because "whatever you bring, you carry" There is no shipping stuff back home of ditching.. that would've been cheating... so I carried it all and never suffered because of the weight and I kept buying magnets and coins and stuff along the way :D but when I got back home and put all the stuff together that I didn't use... I learned a lesson! I'm going on Norte on this friday and I think this time I have ONLY the essentials 😅
Oh my gosh girl! You totally remind me of myself! I’m doing my first Camino in two weeks and I really hope I meet someone like you I will feel like I’m with one of my sisters! Although I’m much older than you and you look like my daughters age! Now I have hope I won’t be the only girlie girl on the trail! Bless you for this adorable video!
Don't worry love! There are so many women solo hikers! I met 3 in Borda on my 1st day 😅 you can't miss them! It was such a great experince! You're going to love it ❤️
I was just curious to know did you spend time in Ireland? Im Irish myself and some of the words you said with an Irish accent Its like you got English lessons in Ireland. Helpful video Im doing the camino in September.
I lived in Wexford, Ireland for 6years :) I heard that a lot that I pronounce certain words with an Irish accent and it confused some people so much :D Good luck with your Camino! It's going to be great ;)
I had gossamer gear kumo 36 and it worked out so well with 10-12kg.. I started with 10kg and there were days when I was carrying a bottle of wine with me aswell.. on those day it was clearly too heavy, but no wine to waste 🙈
But everyone is built differently. Some people wants to have frames and others don't. Some people needs that air ventilation on their back and gets a heat rash without it.. again for me it was perfect and I'm going to take it to Norte with me in March

I’m sure you could have taken more stuff , say an iron and ironing board 😂
Oh definitely usefull 😂 and a big bag of makeup and hairdryer and curling stuff 😂
