We love figs in our home also! Something we love is fig pizza: naan bread (super simple to make) , goat cheese spread out, fig spread or just figs, and sautéed onions and then bake that at 425 for about 5-10 minutes (depends on preference) and it’s SO good !

Oh My Gosh: Your baby's high chair. I have one just like it. I use it every day as my bed side table. See I am a grandma; almost 70 now. I did child care for many years. I used the high chair that had been my mother's as a child. It came to me many years ago when my sweet grandmother died. (the chair was the one thing I wanted when we lost her and got to choose from her belongings. I love that chair. It makes a perfect table. The lamp sits on the seat and my kindle sits on the tray.

Roxie M, 🌸Thank-you for sharing the the history of the antique highchair you inherited. Of all the different pieces of antique furniture, I especially love the old wooden baby highchairs. Thank-you for the idea of repurposing the chairs as small tables. This idea guarantees the pretty old wooded chairs lasting longer, and longer into the future. 🌸

Awww... I have this exact high chair as well...my two babies have used it, it was mine and my sister's before that, and my mother's before that.. not sure of its history before that, but my mom was from the midwest, so would be fun to know more. Love your channel, Lisa! Thank you for all that you share with us!

What a beautiful story. I looked high and low for a high chair like that for my baby girl (and all her future siblings) I ended up finding just a newer wooden high chair but I wish I would’ve found one like that!

Although I cook, I look at it as a chore, so not my favorite thing to do. So I have never been one to watch cooking shows, etc..... Yet I really enjoy your "What we eat in a week" videos. I don't know why, but I love yours. You are the only one I watch with the cooking stuff. I think it's a combination of your unique twists on cooking that make the meals healthier, and also how soothing and peaceful the videos are..... I can also tell that you really love to cook.
l feel sorry for any girl that is interested in your boys when they get older...Growing up on homemade meals everyday, they will have BIG shoes to fill! You are wonderful Lisa, thanks, as always, for the wonderful wholesome, healthy content you provide. :-)

Me too, I am not a big cook, but somehow Lisa's videos make me believe, that it is possible and I could be one, good enough for my picky little girls...her peaceful way, even though she has six kids...I also would love to have more kids, where I usually get discouraged, but her way of living and enjoying life with their little ones is really encouraging for me too, to grow my family. So, after all, Lisa, you are definitely my role model!! :D

Those pizzas are what I made when I only had a stovetop to cook. I would cook one side, flip it and top the cooked side and cover with a lid, so the uncooked side was cooking while the toppings were melting into the pizza and the crust wouldn't burn.

I like the way you arent afraid to generously season your food with salt. Many youtube cooks leave it out entirely like they were cooking for someone with health issues, which is fine if you have health issues but for those who dont, salt isnt a problem and it makes food taste sooo much better!

Going to start buying whole chickens. I did make broth after Thanksgiving once, very tasty. I watched another video where he said buy the whole chicken. And I can hold my own in the kitchen so why not make my own! As I can see and I am here by myself, you have time so I clearly have time. In the past 3 years now since my wingman passed, Lukas, he always had time for me, the one gift of yourself, giving of your time is the most unique and treasured gift endowment that you can give without even realizing it. Watching the children milling around you, I see how you have this. I was not that relaxed, I had much patience for training Lukas, he was a dog better than any human. Little kids always liked me, like one of mine, they followed me everywhere, and I was just not as relaxed as you are with yours, I couldn't get it out of my head why they wanted to do what I did. Other peoples animals followed me too. Oh I had 4 of my own. ! set of twins. Wolfgang was the bugger, Elizabethe was like secret agent, Callista was the smallest yet the mightiest, that brain of hers was data base and she could render a man helpless or unleash upon her victim a torrent, that they will not recover from. Brianne is the oldest, she just wants to do her own thing. What I find is so unique is that animals help me understand humans.

I’m looking for it as well. I tried what she said in the vlog...1c starter, 5c einkorn flour, 1c water and 1 1/2c of salt but it’s looking like a big brick. The recipe link shows the addition of coconut oil and honey so I’m wondering if that was just omitted from the vid 🤷‍♀️

Where are you picking elder flowers? (We live close, in fact I think our kids go to the same gym for gymnastics.) How are you using the flowers you pick?

The recipe link for the no knead sour dough bread is for a yeast bread. Do you have the recipe available for the sour dough one? Any einkorn sour dough bread I have made is really difficult to work with. Your dough looked so firm, like regular bread dough that you can shape into a loaf. I would love to try it!
    Thank
