Your flour looks very coarse, it can be made finer! With the Nutrimill harvest grain mill theres a learning curve. This is what i have learned from experience and other people's tips. Turn the mill on, tighten the knob clockwise until you hear the stones ticking. Add in the grain and then TURN The knob clockwise more to tighten the stones more. This will result in a very fine flour. (Play around with how much further to go, stop as soon as the flour gets fine.. Dont turn knob too far clockwise Because the stones can jam up with flour).Once almost done milling, turn the knob counter clockwise to loosen the stones. Repeat this process each time you mill. Hope this helps❤
I took a screenshot to write on an index card and put in my recipe box. We are saving up for one so this will come in handy. Thanks, internet stranger!
I bought 15 kg rolled oats this past weekend and then made granola which I gifted to my sisters as a thank you when we visit them a couple of days this week. Love homemade everything!
I highly recommend using the tortilla recipe from grains in small places! They are 100% freshly milled flour, and they are just as soft and supple as with AP. Might be worth a look!
I love your videos and making more and more from scratch. Can you make a video on what is in your kitchen? From small appliances, utensils, cookware, bakeware, mixing etc? Wanting declutter and simplify my kitchen items but with making from scratch what do you use?? Thanks
I made the Farmhouse on Boone tortillas last week. I did 2 other recipes and then put everything in the refrigerator. The tortillas were in there for 3 days and my family said they were the best ones I have ever made. I also did 50/50 fresh milled and all purpose flour.
I got married to my second husband in 2000 and our diet has evolved to a much better diet… nothing like what we use to eat. It was a slow but gradual change and my youngest eats so much better than I ever did at her age.
Love this! I've been wanting to make more things from scratch, but it always felt overwhelming. Starting with one item at a time makes so much sense-thanks for the tip!
Would you consider doing a video where you share some of your favourite podcasts or followers that you follow to help with the information you share on your videos. I would love some new people to listen too. Love your channel.
You’re so incredibly inspiring! I’ve started to make my own yogurt because of you. I also have 4 young kids. You encourage me to make better meals for them
Hi! Would be very interested in the handmaid book but would you kindly mind correcting the link? It looks like the Mayo link was used twice! Thank you!!
How long do you let your rolls rise and then bake? I have a bread recipe I love and think I could use half the recipe for buns instead of sliced bread for the week. 😊
Do you have any recipes for a young living inflammation roller? I have the info you sent me when signing up but don't recall seeing anything like that. I think I heard copaiba is good for inflammation.
Can you do a video of the water kiefer??? I love kombucha but it’s soo expensive. My kids love it too. My husband hates the vinegar taste. I think he make like that better
I've made water kefir for years. The only tricky thing is It does turn into alcohol over time. Not necessarily a problem, but you might not want to serve it to children or people who abstain.
Huh? I've watched videos on how it's processed and it's not healthy. They're may be some speciality cold pressed but not easy to find. It's heated, stripped, and extracted with chemicals like hexane. Not just canola though.
@@juliequates9529 yeah I know how its made. There are definitely cold pressed versions which are probably better, but even the hexane extracted version is one of the healthiest oils there is if you look at studies and not just what random people on facebook and at the gym are saying. Literally every single study that looks at it shows that it is good for heart health. The only way you can read any studies and come out thinking its bad is if you don't understand the study. In studies where the source of canola is highly processed food like doritos and other junk food, yeah its not healthy because you are eating a ton of junk food. If you use it to cook vegetables, it improves your health. The whole seed oil thing is a myth, but people bought into it. In my case though, data is more valuable than conspiracies.
This video was all about my kitchen staples that I do make over and over haha they are the homemade foods I make rhythmically/are my tried & trues! I’m taking notes though, variety is always good thanks for the feedback :)
First time on ur channel and loved all of these !! And lot of confirmation to make my own like the tortillas. Was about to buy a tortilla press but love that I just used a rolling pin.

Love your video. I just found you. Where did you get that large glass bowl? What size is it? Thank you.

I've been loving homemade corn tortillas. Corn masa, water that's it. A press is definitely with it, easy to find used.
I love watching you cooking , I do miss your Costco hauls though 😊
Hi! What is your recipe for raw milk yogurt?
Do you have a video showing specifics of making the homemade tortillas? I’m intimidated but I want to try 😀
Curious to know what your stance on stevia is :)

How long do you let your rolls rise and then bake? I have a bread recipe I love and think I could use half the recipe for buns instead of sliced bread for the week. 😊
Can you please do quick and easy meals?
I don’t see the info on making the raw yogurt and culture used. Would like to know what and how please ❤
Do you have any recipes for a young living inflammation roller? I have the info you sent me when signing up but don't recall seeing anything like that. I think I heard copaiba is good for inflammation.
I'd love to hear you explain the recipe.. as in tell us how to make it
Homemade tortillas are worth the work! So delicious and thankful for the minimal ingredients 🌮
Can you give an estimate of how long each of these items lasts? Is this a weekly task that you replenish?
PLEASE make another video just like this!!!!!! Just with new items 😂
Can you do a video of the water kiefer??? I love kombucha but it’s soo expensive. My kids love it too. My husband hates the vinegar taste. I think he make like that better

I made tortillas from scratch for the first time the other day so easy and worth it

What brand is your range?
Would you be able to link the culture for yogurt? Thanks
How long does the mayo last in fridge?
I love your videos so much, look forward to them, but to be honest I feel like you always do the same recipes over and over
She didn’t bake any sourdough in this video and hasn’t for a while lol
Agreed. I have been watching for years, but would love some new ideas. Maybe more in depth about kombucha, or house projects.
This video was all about my kitchen staples that I do make over and over haha they are the homemade foods I make rhythmically/are my tried & trues! I’m taking notes though, variety is always good thanks for the feedback :)

Also, can I get a link for the flour mill?
