Weird compliment but I really appreciate seeing spills on the stove and and the real cooking mess that happens! I swear it must take some channels hours to film because of how much I KNOW they’re cleaning between shots! 😂 great video!
YES to all of us messy cooks who are actually using our kitchens. I see youtubers also with these immaculate pot holders or sheet pans and pristine aprons and I am wondering if they are ever actually cooking anything, lol.
I love this about her videos too. There’s just such a real ness about them that you can identify with. Also, it might sound weird, but I find it hard to trust/like a person with a busy life and several small children whose house is TOO clean. 😉
You are so creative and so locally grown and so seasonal! I'm obsessed with your podcasts and videos. I tried your "zuc n' cheese" and it was delish. The entire fam was a fan. We are in arkansas so I love having someone "close" by that I can pay attention to for recipes. Such a blessing.
Omg that butters looks so beautifully yellow. Must taste delicious. Loved seeing the baby. That the true daily life. Cooking and baby in the arms. Same here sometimes.
I would love to see a video of your laundry routine. I've watched countless and I've developed my system with a help from all the routines I've watched.
I love your cooking videos, please keep them coming! My kitchen is a disaster right now with sink appliances and granite ripped out. Cant wait for everything new to come in. The weather is getting cooler and looking forward to your soups and stew recipes. Dying to try that spaghetti dish! Zucchini is my favorite yum Thanks.
Love these meals- I’m just amazed at how little your family eats. We only have 6 people and most of these dishes- esp the zucchini boats wouldn’t even feed us all. Even when I cook things like lasagna or quiche etc I have to do 2.
I know. I've thought that, too. My grandkids plus us eat way more. I joke that the kids are eating chicken nuggets and Goldfish crackers behind the scenes. Lol.
Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your way of feeding your family! Your grocery/meal planning system clicked in my head in a way that no other plan has. I have a 6-year-old and when he was a baby, it was far easier to cook well-balanced meals. As he got older, I enrolled in college and life just got really overwhelming. I thought that meal planning had to be a meal-by-meal, item-by-item, PERFECT system to be worthwhile...but it turns out, I'm a lot like you and I feel so stifled by all that needless planning. Having staples on hand has literally changed the game in our house. I'm loving being in the kitchen again, loving how much we're saving, and the cherry on top is that we've seamlessly made a return to eating more whole foods. It doesn't hurt that we also live in MO so I can always get seasonal ideas from you! Love the videos so much, thank you again.
3:03 Praw-vonts the c ending of Provence is pronounced similarly to a voiced “s.” This sounds closer to a z than an s, but because this isn’t an English word, it sounds more like the ts sounding z in mozzarella. It is a compound sound, so the t is very gentle and not a hard sound. I hope this helps.
Your recipes always inspire me to cook. We have always eaten a huge amount of venison and elk, because we are hunters here in Montana, and also because I have a beef allergy. If you ever want to make your wild game indistinguishable from beef in flavor, use a marinade consisting of the oil of your choice, a dash of ACV, a dash of lemon juice, soy sauce, worcershire, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Let it sit about 2 hours, and it's good to go. I've served venison and elk steaks prepared this way to folks who say they hate the taste of wild game, and they think they've eaten the best beef steak ever, ha! Sometimes I tell them (sometimes I don't :D ) At any rate, I just thought I'd pass it on since you eat a lot of venison also. It's especially helpful if you get a particularly wild tasting deer, which isn't ideal, but it can happen. You may already know this but just in case you didn't, give it a try! As always, looking forward to the next upload!
This is how all people should cook, with hearty ingredients straight from the earth. I'm in my 50s now, and I was fortunate to have older parents (in their 40s when I was born), who grew up cooking like this and whose parents cooked like this, long before Hamburger Helper or microwave popcorn or even microwaves, for that matter.
I’m so glad you like to make these videos because they are some of my favorite to watch! We also try to eat seasonally/locally sourced food. It’s become a big conviction of mine this year and we are loving it!
I love watching you cook! I think what I like the most is you don’t follow a recipe with everything you cook. You do your own thing and it’s looks delicious! I miss cooking yummy things as I live with extremely picky eaters. What a curse it is to be a foodie and not have someone to share good food with!
Delightful as always thank you. PS. Your best chips, the housekeeper of a large shooting estate on the Isle of Islay told me to use an old meat carving fork the sort with two prongs to hold your beetroot and a handled potato peeler to quickly shave slices off spinning the beetroot round before you reach the prongs and doing the other side.
Your cooking videos are my favorite. I find so much inspiration from watching you cook from scratch using in season produce. I wish there were more of these videos. I’ve watched all the ones you’ve made so far. Keep them coming, please! 🙂
I love these videos, they give me great meal ideas! I have never been someone who uses pinterest recipes, what I love about your recipes is the built in flexibility and simplicity. The ability to change anything to suit our family! Simple, quick and tasty too!!!
These videos and the ones your sister does over at Our Oily House literally encourage and inspire me to keep cooking. I have to because of temporary diet restrictions but I hate it. Watching these literally makes me love cooking for my little family because it makes me feel like you two. Thank you!!!
Everything looks great! I enjoy watching videos like this to get new meal ideas. But...they always make me feel like we eat too much. Ha! There are 4 of us and I have to cook twice this much. (Although 1 is a teenage boy..) There's no way that meals this size would satisfy my bunch. lol
Nachos made with deer burger are the best! My husband put me into labor with our oldest with them almost a decade ago. Did you know venison also includes many other large games animals? I had no idea until yesterday, I thought venison was exclusively deer🤷♀️
I just loved the expert knife skills at the very beginning when you just smacked that thing that was not cooperating 🥰. I just don’t know how you can do so many things all at the same time.
I cook like this but man my kids are getting older and eat so much more now. I have to double everything and started buying a few more things at the store to fill in. Nice to see more meal ideas!
you can actually taste it, my mother always licks her finger to taste the sosage or meat balls, she is 58 years old, in hungary it is very common to taste your ground meat to see if it needs some spices.
Herbes de Provence are a great pairing with chicken 😀 Watching your video while eating egg salad on whole grain bread made with freshly ground grains, farm fresh eggs and your avocado mayo recipe. Thanks for your inspiration!
Zuchinni boats great idea zuchinni from the garden I've been trying to think of good fresh meals thankyou! I did the zuchinni lasagna so fresh an good❤😊
Love your apron and the food looks amazing. I love cooking and you make it seem so easy to feed a family. I have 4 children (3 teens and one toddler) and I get so many ideas from your cooking. Amazing content. Also, I collect aprons. I just love them. It looks like the one you have just goes over head and doesn't tie in the back. Do you mind sharing where you purchased yours from? Thank you!
Loved these recipes! Beet chips though. I’d eat them but that’s the only thing besides mayo that would get me divorced. Lol. Anyway, I get so much good info and ideas from you even though you are so much younger than me! Here’s a tip from the old gal though. I seriously felt like you were going to skin your knuckles using the grater to slice those beet chips. Get yourself a good mandolin. You will be so glad you did.
I love your videos, the food looks good and quality. Your kids must eat anything.. I would never do einkorn, but to each their own. I love that you use so.many.veggies.
Hi! Okay I had to stop the video, for those zucchini boats brings me back to August 2011 and a National kickoff seminar for national student politics, where I got these soooo yummy zucchini boats with veggies and vegan mince. I need to make that again soon, it’s be to long since last time 😍😋 Thank you for sharing and giving tips and inspiration, and I love this videos with great editing and perfect music 😊 Love from Johanne, Norway 💕
Hi Lisa, I'm wondering if you can share your tomato sauce recipe/process you mentioned in this video in a little more depth. Sounds super simple but still very helpful for us beginners to the natural cooking space! I always buy a pre-made tomato sauce jar and it just seems so silly and packed with so many unnecessary ingredients. Would love to see how you achieve a sauce. Thank you and bless you!
Can you please do a video on how to care for and clean your cast iron pans. I want to get some but I have no idea on how to properly use them. Please and thank you!
You’re the only TH-camr that cooks with high quality, ethical ingredients and shows it’s affordable.
I love her channel. So inspiring!
I agree even in Korea!!
Right ? Any other what I eat in a week is literally the most unhealthy meals around 🤢
Not entirely true - Shane from the Elliot Homestead also cooks like this...even a bit better- check out her TH-cam channel
Love this channel but also check out Noemi at Simple Living with Scandish Home! ❣️
Weird compliment but I really appreciate seeing spills on the stove and and the real cooking mess that happens! I swear it must take some channels hours to film because of how much I KNOW they’re cleaning between shots! 😂 great video!

Wow, thank you!
You have the most adorable little kitchen helper. He is getting so big!
Great meals from scratch your giving your family such a treasure

Yes, nice idea. Looking forward to this video.
These are my favorite. Such simple and quality meals! 💞

I always think the same! We’re a family of 4 and none of that would fill us 😄
They have a garden outside, maybe the kids snack throughout the day! I did that when I was little too lol
You eat too much ... are you Americans by any chance ?
Her kids are little!

I'm so glad!
Thanks for the video , did you teach yourself how to cook, your such a good busy mom. Bless You and Your Family.

Haven’t been watching your channel long but I’m really enjoying it, I love watching what you cook, thanks for sharing..
I love watching you cook! I think what I like the most is you don’t follow a recipe with everything you cook. You do your own thing and it’s looks delicious! Did you know you can cook your spaghetti squash whole in the insta pot. No cutting necessary. Life changing!
Just wanted to say thank you and I appreciate your videos.
You’re very welcome!
Oh! Lovely Daniel watching you cook he is so cute

I dice up some chicken and cook it in the cast iron skillet with olive oil and herbs de providence. Then we put it on some greens for a nice salad.
Delightful as always thank you.

It all looks so delicious!!! Thanks for sharing 😊
This is my fav video to watch!!
Love these videos you put out! On a funny note, it really got to me listening to that loud spatula scraping and sloshing that meat around lol 😂
I could see how that would be pretty annoying 😬😂
Watching this always makes me hungry yum yum 😋
I love your videos, the food looks good and quality. Your kids must eat anything.. I would never do einkorn, but to each their own. I love that you use so.many.veggies.
Why not einkorn? It’s ancient wheat without all the hybridization of today’s wheat.
Renee Andrews yes, also curious why not, I was thinking about trying it.
Omg I would loveeee to try all your recipes !
My favorite videos from you!!!🤗
I’d love an azure unboxing video!
Omg your purple pepper I'm in love
You are amazing!!! My only complaint is not being able to taste these yummy looking meals!!!
Hi! Okay I had to stop the video, for those zucchini boats brings me back to August 2011 and a National kickoff seminar for national student politics, where I got these soooo yummy zucchini boats with veggies and vegan mince. I need to make that again soon, it’s be to long since last time 😍😋

These are my favorite videos to watch. What woman doesn't need recepie ideas or even watch while prepping for her own small army 🤣🤣
Those purple peppers! 😍
Does your family do any snacking in-between meals? If so, what kinds of things?
Looks so easy and delicious.
Hello, lovvve your cook with me! Just a suggestion. We'd love to see you better but the lighting is so dim.
I love these videos!
Can you please do a video on how to care for and clean your cast iron pans. I want to get some but I have no idea on how to properly use them. Please and thank you!
Everything looks amazingly delicious too!
Hey I’ve actually watched her cast iron skillet videos before, so you can probably find them on a playlist! Just FYI! ☺️
Loved the video! Hope to try einkorn biscuits sometime:)
Now you have me craving quiche! Everything looks delicious.
I am dying for some of that quiche! Mmmm
