I've just pre-ordered a 450sr as it's called here in Australia. Chrome moly frame, Brembo 4 piston front brakes, sexy sounding 270 degree parallel twin. It is tuned down to 46hp here to fit in the LAMS class.
CFMOTO bikes are reliable, well designed, good value and fun to ride. I own a CFMOTO NK300 and have had a blast riding the twisty roads.

I wish they left it at 49hp because at 49hp it still fits into the lams requirements. 49hp = 37Kw. 37Kw/(168kg bike + 90kg for rider and fuel) = 0.144 which is under the 0.150 needed for LAMS. I believe they just gave us the euro spec where A2 licences need 47hp or less hence the 46.5 hp.

I dropped into a Yamaha dealer a few weeks ago, looking for my next bike, and saw a bunch of CF Motos for the first time. They look pretty okay, I'm just concerned about reliability. The dealer owner told me they're built by the same company that makes KTM. Curious to see how they fair in the industry 🤔🤷

I live in Greece and we have a huge moto loving community. Sym and CFmoto are the Chinese brands that are very popular and quite reliable. Sym scooters are being used by guys whose main bikes are yamaha suzuki bmw ducatis and so on. Sym makes a popular underbone bike called VF (125 and 185 cc versions). CFmoto was popular with their 300cc motor, both in the naked and the adventure models and they have good reviews from customers. They are not the BEST you can buy (plastics for example are a little bit less quality than what you'd find on a suzuki or a honda) but their motors are mostly good and dont have any more problems than everything else on the market.

Here in Greece, this brand is on the market for at least 4 years now. Gets good sales. I have a 650 Mt, I think it's called 650 Adventura in the USA. It's a 2020 and it currently has 12.000 kms on the clock. The only think that broke was a mirror when I dropped it one time. It's been very reliable. Not good for dirt riding though. For commuting and touring, it's a very decent bike and I'm very pleased with it.

I can’t support a Chinese company that uses onboard technology to map your riding. I don’t like the idea that linking with an app tracks your rider data. China already steals information in just about every industry and then couple that with ktm manufacturing... I just don’t know... probably never gonna buy a cf Moto.
But if you’re young or wanna try a small bike for cheap for a couple years to see if you like riding it’s probably a decent option.

Given that my garage includes a MINT 2005 zx10r among other bikes, im shocked and impressed at these bikes, that 300SS I'd take over any other similar bike CBR, KAWI 250 OR 400, YAMAHA R3, YOU NAME IT, I'd rather have the 450SS than a SV 650. It's unmatched hands down. I have no idea about longevity, reliability seems there, but it did not seem cheap. Long term ownership will tell. I wanted a little bike for my kids to learn on, was looking at all the bikes mentioned, im thinking of the 300SS. I've ridden all of them.

CFMOTO are one of the most reliable bikes but in the cases where it broke down, many people are having hard times looking for replacement parts since the typically produce very little spare parts and since they are relatively new to the market they lack aftermarket parts that's the most common problem here in the Philippines.

I've had quite a few bikes, been riding for 40 years...
I just got the CFMOTO 300SR 2023. And it surprised me a ton!! In the Twisties it is king 👑!! What you get for that kind of money, well it's unbelievable. Not a lot of horses under your butt, but plenty of power!! What a pleasure to ride!!
The break in period is a bitch, the book says no going over 4.000 rpm... Which is impossible actually I've done 4.500 - to 5.000 rpm... After 500 kilometers I'll do UpTo 6.000 rpm at a 1.000 kilometers she goes in for the first service, then after that I can open her up a tad more!😊
I'm out here in Europe, the bike has a 4 year guarantee!! The roads out here are made for motorcycles!! The scenery is amazing!!
    Safe riding!!

cool, what i iike about the 450ss/sr is how light it is and its engine having a 270degree crank, most of their engine and design looks are based on that of ktm's. i have a cfmoto, the naked 400 a 205kg motorbike, its been pretty reliable so far clocking at 25000km. what i like about the brand is they enter races for different local races and Moto3, 44 teeth used the 650 on one of their racing season.

People say ‘iPhones are made in china, so a Chinese phone must be good too.’
Totally untrue. Chinese phones are made, designed and engineered by Chinese. They cut costs more than is necessary and have a marvelous inability to manage nuance in engineering tolerances. This China lacks a real world class powerhouse. I lived an worked their with green products for 13 years.

What you want to look for for anything on two wheels coming from China is for it to be a company who also makes bikes for the Chinese market successfully. The Chinese market for bikes is massively larger than the U.S. market. They have 350 million DAILY riders. For comparison, the U.S. has maybe 10 million sunny weekend riders. Any company successful in the Chinese market, which is highly competitive, will de facto be good. The kicker is that China many times doesn't allow its most successful domestic companies to also be responsible for exports when it comes to manufacturing in any industry. When they do though, they are incredibly large companies like Huawei. Conversely, you want to stay away from any bikes where they sell no bikes at all in China, but suddenly pop up in the U.S. CFMOTO is one of the very few that sells and is successful (In a particular market segment) inside China and is becoming popular in the U.S. They are by no means the largest or the most successful in China, but like most of China's most successful products, we will never see the vast majority of them in the U.S. because they simply do not need to export (even if they were allowed to by China) to be massively successful and by the time they got here, you would not be able to afford them.

I dont believe coz if you look the engine of their bikes its from other brands.like example for what im talking is the nk125 ,the engine of that bike is based on suzuki thunder 125 only its a f.i.another example is the nk400 and nk650 ,engines are related or should i say used a kawasaki platform for that those engine is first seen on z650's .
The new nk c22 is the only bike that use engine of ktm ,the ktm duke 790 if we look closely to their engines. Cfmoto said that they used the ktm 790 engine for that and i think so far thats the only bike from their factory that uses or related to ktm.mostly are copycat engines from big 4 brands.

    • @Nick-Edwards
      @Nick-Edwards ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@nappyboy5513 they’re probably under some contract to not use the engines they produce for KTM in their own production motorcycles. I bet if CF were to do that, KTM would break away and find another brand to manufacture their engines or they would do it themselves. I don’t see CF doing that because they’re probably getting paid very well from KTM. Also just because they aren’t the same engines being used doesn’t mean the reliability is worse. I have heard nothing but good things from people who review these bikes. I think it’s definitely a brand to watch out for for sure. Motorcycle prices these days are crazy expensive so it’s a good option.

I know KTM has sold licensing to QJ for the 790 and the 1290 motors. So I am sure if CF moto are going to produce it they will be allowed to purchase the rights to use it as well. The Benelli mark is going to revive its TNT 800 naked bike with the lc8c motor and Cycle world did an article on the licensing and development of the LC8. It's such a chill reliable easy to ride little thing although I do wonder where the power is when I try to pass anything lol. I am considering a 450SR for a bit of excellent value fun when USA side. The 450ss is a cool bike. Better then the ninja400 and makes a great sound. My son rides his daily and loves it. The 270 degree cross plane sounds like a bigger bike with and exhaust. Much more exciting then any other beginner sport bike.

@adobomoto I'll look it up. It's been a great bike for my son to learn on. He rode a buell xb12r firebolt we rebuilt for a year. But parts were hard to find and Insurance on a 16 year old was crazy. Sold it and paid cash for the 450ss

450SR has a Brembo calipers Front and Rear, TFT Display and KYB Front and Rear around P299900
Z400 has a Nissin calipers and brake masters, LED display. 274000
CLX700 Sports has a Dual Brembo Stylema Calipers Front and rear, a Brembo brake masters, tft display, KYB Front and Rear.

They tried to sell me the 650 ADV bike when I bought my Kawi Versys. The reviews for that bike are pretty bad. I think Revzilla or Motorcyclist did a ride review on it and they couldn’t even accurately tell how fast they were going. The owner forums I have visited have been worse. Maybe the quality will improve though.
If you want something like this, you could get a KTM RC 390 for the same price basically, have similar power, and a better all around bike with better aftermarket options in my opinion.

So the question of this video or any of the motorcycle in CFMOTO. Is it reliable and quality, weather proofing, engine quality of the motorbike? And their fairings like the plastic parts of the bikes that what they talk about it specially the top speed and torque of the motorbikes of CFMOTO i hope that their top speed and torque of the engine is not fake and bias because what the purpose of the CC's engine if its not accurate according to their motorbike CC's engine. Im not looking down of the chinese brand motorbikes. HONESTLY i like their motorbikes its cool and head turner if your a bike lover base on their design specially when it looks aggressive and sporty bikes. But i hope their quality and reliability, engine quality, and weather proofing bikes they NEED to improve of what they're lacking to achieve the perfect QUALITY not the QUANTITY because all people like to choose the QUALITY and RELIABLE specially the LIFESPAN OF THE BIKES over QUANTITY. If they do that they gonna become popular too when it comes to selling their units like japanese brand Bikes and became competent in their company to other brands company. And no one will comment bad things and no one bushers.

My main problem i see with cf moto is whilst not bad per se there's no originality No real R&D just copypasted chassis and engine designs that have practically already been perfected by other companies made cheaper thats it! Whilst not as bad as other Chinese companies the quality control and build quality still leaves a bit to be desired 🤷
