    I purchased a UForce 800 1 year ago partially because of seeing CFMoto on your channel. I have almost 500 miles on it now, use it everyday during the summer and occasionaly during the winter. My only complaint is the jumpy reverse and low range. I have pulled heavy trailers with zero problems. I have loaded heavy pieces of concrete in the bed with zero problems. I have gone through snow drifts without even a thought of getting stuck. I have pulled downed tree limbs. In short, I use it, try not to abuse it and have had absolutely no problems. Starts first time, every time. Goes everywhere I want to go. I have 2 friends that have Kawaski Mules. I wouldn't trade with them.
    Thank you for an honest review

    I wasn't aware of CF Moto until I saw it here on your channel. After doing my own research, I purchased a '23 Uforce 1000. I have a similar set up as you. The CF Moto solid doors on mine are able to split top and bottom for summer use and better airflow.

    When we were shopping for a SxS stock was limited and after trying out all the brands we liked the UForce 1000 best. I was worried about going with a Chinese brand but researching other name brands I found many that quietly use Chinese engines and drivetrains. Our dealer sold many name brands but offered an extended warranty for the CF Moto, so we purchased the UForce almost 18 months ago. We use it every day on the farm and have enjoyed it. The drive by wire throttle and jumpy clutch is the biggest difference between other brands but it can be minimized with a clutch adjustment or by changing out the spring and weights. We added a $200 kit and that helped a bunch. Overall CF Moto is priced a solid 30%-40% less than the competition and a value bomb IMO.

    Thanks for the comparisons and updates. Personally, I’ve always been the guy that buys the name brands and for good reason. Equipment brands that have been around for over 75 years or more, are proven. Sure, you have to pay for that quality, but I keep my stuff for a loooong time and maintain them. I will have my Yamaha 4 wheeler till I am too old to ride it. I currently drive a 17 year old Silverado that has no rust and I’ll have that for at least another 10 years. So, buy once cry once, but I’m happy the whole way!

      I do think that older folks sometimes assume that those 'older brands' or more expensive brands always mean that quality or service is actually higher, and that is not always the case. I have off-brand versions of a lot of things that I also have the big-name player brand and a lot of times the off-branded one ends up being better overall.

    Great review Adam. We have the 600 and the uforce 1000xl. One thing on the uforce that may help you. When in low, for the work you do, keep it in “work” mode. Great video and review, My 33-year-old Son just bought a used 2016 CF Moto Z Force 800 side by side, that thing is a beast we ran it down some pretty narly Arizona rocky and washboard roads and trails this past Saturday and Sunday for 3+ hours reaching speeds 65 and at one point 72 MPH with our fat buts I am 207 lbs and he is 6'2" and 285lbs, that thing did not skip a beat, all we did was do a pre-trip inspection, topped off and checked all fluids Cleaned the nasty air filter. I plan to do a full service on it and start a maintenance log keeping it all up to spec. Funny how my old Air Force military training kicked in, about servicing and logging everything. It was a blast and we plan on keeping this thing running in tip-top shape for years to come, thanks again for the review. PS: They have an aftermarket kit for the clutch spring and new counterweights for that same jerkiness you have with yours. It is from the clutch disk in the back slipping on the belt at low RPMS then grabs and knocks the snot out of you. You may want to look into it.

    I've been in the market for a new machine for snow removal as I've gotten OLD (60s) and CFMoto is a brand I'm strongly considering. That being said, I still have a 1998 Polaris Sportsman that's still going strong and only had one drive belt replacement in all the years. It's been used heavily on the farm towing, working, running trails, pushing snow. But a side by side is more my need now as I've joint issues. The price all in with enclosed cab sounds good to me. Great video!

    I bought a UForce 600 last fall after seeing you get your 1000. I kept it until this spring and then moved up to the 1000. The 600 was great and better than the 1000 in some ways but it was a little noisy with the single cylinder engine.
    A few comments on what you've talked about on the 1000. You're bang on with all the dislikes. They are real and unfortunate but not deal breakers.
    1. Get a clutch kit. Seriously. Big difference. I went with RNG Performance. There are others out there but at the end of the day they are just weights and a spring (for the entry level primary kit). Super easy to install and they really do make a difference.
    2. Use work mode. Night and day difference in power. I'm the opposite of you. I always use work mode. I put it in normal is my wife is using it or someone who is not familiar with the machine.
    3. Definitely switch to a flip up windshield. I went with the Super ATV flip up. It makes all the difference to even be able to open it on the first notch and for driving slowly on the trails on property having it wide open lets the air in that you need. Mine only has the half doors and even it gets warm with the windshield down.
    You really can't beat the value for what you get with CFMOTO. I have a friend that has a Can-Am Defender. It's the factory cab model with all the bells and whistles but to buy it new it's probably $35,000-$40,000 (Canadian) vs. about $21,000-$22,000 for mine with the aftermarket windshields, front and rear bumpers and rock sliders. that becomes absolutely irrelevant if you can`t afford it. a CFMoto might hold 10 years compared to a Polaris, Canam, Yamaha etc which might hold for 20 - I simply can`t afford an ATV which is 30-50% more expensive. Your argument makes perfect sense when I can afford the long-term reliability of a product.

    Have virtually identical Uforce 1000 in Australia. Except CFMoto ship it with a flip up glass windscreen with wiper. Agree with what you say about the side windows providing insufficient cooling. Fortunately the flip up windscreen in the cracked open position provides plenty of cooling air when driving. So yeah I can recommend a flip up if it has a intermediate position where can be secured open a few inches at the bottom edge.

    Great videos and channel. I also have a '22 Uforce 1000 with the full doors like you. Don't know if you know but the upper half of the doors can be removed to allow for more air flow. I agree, it gets a bit warm to say the least in the cab. I do have the CFMoto full glass windshield that has the vents in it. Doesn't help much if slow moving. Also, do you care for the passenger side mirror placement? Can you see out of it at all? I had trouble with mine with the doors on. I actually relocated them both to the doors. If you take the upper inside panel of the door off, you can see where there is welded in nuts that can be used for the mirrors. Tricky part is lining up the outside skin to drill. I also designed and 3D printed a tapered spacer to fill the void between the door frame and outer skin so bolting the mirrors on wouldn't buckle the skin.

I know from past episodes you value maintenance. With Doug close by, you’ll always have help and or a fix. Speaking of fix, I bet CFMOTO or an aftermarket company could get you the stripped part on the right grip. I know you or Doug could do a video on its repair. Given the condition of the CFORCE, it looks new, maybe you could update with a newer more improved model. At any rate you will figure it out. As far as the UFORCE, would Doug have a better way? Maybe a chain drive conversion if it exists? Well, enough of me trying to fix everything, you are in control and know what you need to do and not to do. Your UForce 1000 does the same thing my 2020 CForce 500 does when starting. I have to turn the key on-off an extra time to get enough fuel for it to start it seems. Like you, it’s not a deal breaker for me, just something I’ve gotten used to having to do. Also, if you don’t get the gear in just right when shifting, it’ll make a horrible grinding noise. I had it to the dealer and they claimed they fixed it, but it’s no different. Still, I’d keep buying CF Moto just because of the value. I got my 2020 500 for about $6k out the door. I’ve gotten used to the “quirks.”

    Change the clutch with after market makes huge difference and it won't mess with warranty... no atv has good head lights. Only thing I think is bad about cfmoto is most dealers are not helpful. If you want anything extra for you cfmoto they are clueless but thank God for the internet because after I bought my 1000 2 up I found lots of helpful people on the internet that walk you through finding anything you need or even working on them and it's to bad they don't work for cfmoto because 99% of them are awesome people that go out of their way to help and all they want is a thank you. My 1000 is an awesome machine and I love it. Touching on one thing you said about the low end torque is do to gearing which I believe is I guess I want to say is a plus because me and my wife have put a lot of road hours on ours and I can run our 2 up at 55mph and it doesn't bother it a bit which I couldn't do that with my polaris or my brute force 750 so kinda used to if I need low end torque I just use the low range. I watched cfmoto for 6 years before buying and I'll say I think I made the right choice and just love this machine. So hands down it was by all means the best bang for the bucks and would do it again. The big 4 better come to their senses because cfmoto is going to give them a run for their money. Great review you did and thanks for taking the time to do it and being truthful. No machine out there is perfect but when you know the down side going in it sure helps to make your mind up going in. It's guys like you the helped me make my decision so my hats off to all the people out there that take the time to do stuff like this... again thanks for the honest review.

    Your "lurching" issue is simply due to primary clutch calibration which is causing it to engage at a high rpm for performance acceleration instead of a smoother low rpm which benefits its use as a workhorse. CFMOTO units use CVTECH primary clutches which are built in Canada and are extremely easy and inexpensive to calibrate for a much smoother engagement.

    Sorry, I thought of one more thing on the troublesome starting on the UFORCE. How about a one way check valve between the tank and lift pump, if it has one. We used to use those on trucks with hard starting. On the section of your cup holder and storage that folds down, I’ve seen nylon bushings that look like a T. One end of the bushing has a nylon washer end formed on it, hence the T. My local Ace hardware has a nice supply. That may take out the play. I’m done, really. 😂

    Thanks Adam. I have owned honda, polaris, and suzuki. My brother has ridden cf moto's for years and we ride hard. His cf moto's have ran just as good, just as strong and held up just as good as my rides have. If I ever buy another new one it will more then likely be a cf moto. By the way, unless a person has plenty of money value shopping is the way to go. Ive seen people live in a shack that was trash and drive a 40,000 dollar car. How dumb is that.

I use it to haul brush and wood and plow my driveway up here in upstate New York. I use it for work and really not for play. It was a way better option than buying a Ranger or Commander.

    Adam, I not sure if I understood your meaning at the 14:00 min. mark. I'm a back yard mechanic (not a pro) but the noise you hear is the fuel pump priming the system/injectors. Maybe the fuel pump is a little weak. IMHO. Did I miss the amount of miles on the quad?

    I'm intrigued in the cfmoto sxs, I have a Polaris 800 Ranger and want to update, and the price of a new Ranger is ridiculous especially if you look at the 1500 but resale value on Chinese equipment is questionable.

    • @HometownAcres
      @HometownAcres  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the resale on those new Ranger 1500’s is going to be horrible. They’re $40-45k new. You’re not gonna get anywhere close to that once you drive it off the lot let alone 2, 5 or 10 years down the road

    Those factory cfmoto doors you can take the top half completely off in summer. As for the starting situation you should listen for the fuel pump to prime which coensides with the gauge cluster showing all the vehicle details then crank it. It will start first try every time. Every utv is this way now with FI even polaris, Can Am etc. I have the same 22 model uforce and the dealer told me this and he was right, tried it on a friends ranger 1000 and a kawasaki, and honda talon, he was right. Your dealer should have told you.

    • @tedlandy
      @tedlandy ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can remove the upper half of the doors in summer and I am sure OP knows this. It is a PITA do do so though. You really need to remove them to halve them, at which point you could just leave them off. When you take the top portion off you also have to remove the entire door seal for the bottom as well and then replace it with a shorter length on bottom half. I agree with what you say about the fuel pump - disciplin your self to wait until its cycle is complete and the cluster comes up. If it fails to start wait for the pump to run again & generally starts fine.

    Adam I have the same machine. One big thing I feel you forgot was the fact that the doors can be taken down to half doors. I leave it that way all summer. Also I have the flip up windshield and am a big fan! However I did strip the torx screw once taking the doors down to a half door once. It was covered under warranty. How do you like the front and back bumpers? I’m still on the fence
