The Stunticons are my favorite Transformers too. The most important thing to me is G1 accuracy. So I’ll probably go with Fans Toys and XTransbots....and DX9. Oh my poor wallet!!
This was a damn good Sit Down Saturday! The scale chart and dimensions broke down was a good thing to see. I’m rolling with X-Transbots and Fanstoys. DX9 isn’t bad by any means and I may just kick myself down the road for selling Montana but as of now I’m only in on two sets. I will end up with 3 of every character to display in each mode so the moneys all wrapped up as it is. Let’s hope Fanstoys can show us that they can build a good combiner, I know they can but they gotta know that TW Constructor raises the bar and they HAVE to exceed it.
I went with XTB because of scale. They're the ONLY ones who scale well both bot and car modes. None of the others do either or both. If they did, I'd probably go with Fans Toys. XTB's Menasor will be just an inch (0.8) shorter than Constructor. Cars are smaller than construction machines. Makes sense to me. Jets are bigger than cars, too. So it makes sense for Menasor to be a bit shorter there as well. I prefer cars in front of the legs, so I'll have to take a hit there. Or I can also cheat and get the DX9 one as well.
I usually like my devastator as the tallest (because he is made up of six construction vehicles) bruticus as mabye an inch shorter (because five combat vehicles) and menasor as mabye an inch or half an inch shorter (as they are one truck and four everyday cars) Sorry for the essay long comment, also menasor is my favourite combiner too
Hey bobby, just wanted to clarify the height and point out a couple of features. 11:02 XTB's will be 1 cm shorter not 1 inch. It'll also feature butterfly joints and an ab crunch. Keep up the good work.
I thought he was saying 1 inch shorter compared to the Zeta Bruticus which is 52cm or so at the head, not the 50cm Constructor or DX9 Menasor. Of course there are probably people who will misinterpret it that way.
Part of the problem is people have come to think of Constructor as 20 inches which is actually a result of rounding. They forget the actual measurement is 50cm which is closer to 19.6 inches without rounding.
I'm sticking with TransformMission for a couple reasons. First, I'm a scale nut, specifically in vehicle mode. The Stunticons were my favorite combiner team because most of them were in a decent scale with one another. No ridiculous ideas like a motorcycle being the same size as a helicopter for me, thanks. That being said, I never got the originals because I couldn't accept Motormaster's tiny truck mode next to the rest of the team. Most of the third party options fix that, with Motormaster's vehicle mode being approximately the same size as MP-10. However, for cartoon accuracy, a lot of them are still going with tiny truck cab feet, which I think looks ridiculous (as does plugging an unaltered vehicle onto a limb, especially in the back). That leads into my second reason, which is that I don't feel cartoon accuracy is that important. The cartoon is decades old and, while I love it, I have to admit the animation wasn't wonderful and a lot of the designs are showing their age. I'm a sucker for a reboot/update. Star Trek:TNG, Marvel's Ultimate Universe (or MCU), DC's New 52; I just love seeing classic things from my childhood brought back in a new way that fits with modern times. That's why I loved the IDW redesign; similar enough to be recognizable, but with a modern twist and more detail. When I saw TransformMission was using that, I was all in.
I agree with you. However, be careful what you say about G1. The fans will tear you up if they catch word of this. Just a warning from a fellow Stunticon fan.
Now that was one great breakdown. Love it man. Thanks again for the shoutout and heartfelt words for Kennedy’s Village. The wife and I are eternally grateful!
FT and XTB for the win..... I like my combiner bots a bit smaller like deluxe-voyer size for the limbs and leader class for the torso bot.... It will seem like a waste to have FT in combined mode, but given their size, that's the route I might go.... Thanks for the discussion sir....
Things I'm willing to sacrifice an inch on: Grass height Pizza circumference Dog leash length Table height Personal space DVD box height Shoelace length Quite a few very specific things actually
Love it. While I don't need someone to tell me which set is better, I do really appreciate having one video that compares each set with a pros/cons presentation. Makes it easier for me to make a decision. Your Dinobots video was how I was able to decide on which Dinobot set to go with.
My head cannon for combiner size 1. Devastator (all big real world vehicles + extra bot) 2. Superion (jets are huge) 3. bruticus (all big real world vehicles) 4. menasor (one big vehicle & 4 medium vehicles) 5. Defensor ( 1 big vehicle 3 medium vehicles 1 small vehicle) 6. Computron (2 big vehicles 2 small vehicles 1 medium vehicle I’m not sure where to put predaking
I'm deeply surprised Motormaster wasn't a big point in this discussion, since usually he's either what sells or dooms a Stunticon toy set. Does he scale with the cars? Is he entirely self-contained? Does he parts form? Is he just the truck cab or half the trailer? How does he scale against Optimus? The guys even had one 3p CW replacement figure and another being made. It feels like Motormaster needs a Sit-down Saturday just for himself to cover all this.
Maybe he decided to table that on the "need to know more" basis. Despite the sterotypes about FT we know more about their Motormaster than we do about the others, and it will probably be out first (just among Motormasters)
yeah that's fair, just when you think about it, Motormaster is a hugely controversial character as far as toys go. Either he's an Optimus retool/repaint or an attempt to do magic via engineering (which often fails)
Damn, this was a great discussion, especially when you pointed out the legs. The fandom loses their collective shit about that. This is a great breakdown. I would be interested in more of these comparison videos.
Thanks Bobby I saw this weeks ago but at the time factored out getting a large Menasor. But this helped me figure out what’s good for me since changing my mind. I’m part of the 19 and under crew myself.
This Sit-down Saturday has been very informative for me, I will have to go with FansToys Stunticons. XTB's Stunticons looking great too. I just might buy those too.
I am more of a chug collector. I have to say though, you raised some very good points and said everything perfectly. I completely agree with this video. Good job bro.
First I'll say this is one of my first comments in the community, not the first, but I'm new to commenting. I have been a collector since I was a kid, but missed the continuation of masterpiece after MP-01 until last year, lost everything in a fire and priorities shifted for a while. Second I will say you're one of my top three, which I don't officially rank, along with Ben and the guys from Knerdout. It feels like I'm sitting down with friends to talk about our hobbies and passions. It's fun and I love it. I will check out the page you've been sharing and help if I can. Lastly, scale. I'd like to add a point to this, and someone may have said it already and it's also been discussed before but I had a mini revelation. The cartoon has everyone thinking all combiners are the same size. Don't get me wrong, I love me some cartoon accuracy, I grew up watching it. But if we're putting in that hint of realism, then there's some problems with scale. The Toy World Devastator should really be the pinnacle of standards that currently exists. He should be the biggest. He's 6 construction vehicles turned into a bot, that's going to show up pretty damned big. The other combiners are five, as they went with the Voltron archetype. Menasor would make perfect sense being shorter, but not by too much as Motormaster could acount for a fairly large mass shift. He is shown in the first episodes as forming most of the whole combiner and the cars could easily hinge out to form arms. They just wouldn't be able to shift to the size of the legs due to the wieght of the bot. The only other ones I'd consider are Superion(being that a concord is huge, but it is slender, as are most of the jets) and The Combaticons, but a military jeep would make for one short leg. However Onslaught is a huge vehicle and could likely compensate for the lackings of Swindle. It would be fitting if he did, it could explain Swindle's lack of loyalty to the Combaticons. He did the exact opposite of your favourite stunticon. All of this being said, it does provide justification to your shelf set up if one combiner is a bit smaller than another. I personally wouldn't go too far of a difference but I can handle some difference. As you said, sclae is in the eye of the beholder. I totally agree, these are just my thoughts. Thanks for reading.
I have transformission menasor (posing for a shelf dive) in combined mode right now, but will change them to bot or vehicle mode when Fanstoys comes out. Excellent video good sir!
Probably mentioned this, but like you, Stunticons are my fave Decepticons, and Dead End is my fave bot. Why? They were the first evil car bots, and what Dead End said and how he said it, “…I guess I’ll have to do what you say.”
Good Breakdown my friend. Its definitely going to be tough until everything is released. Personally im still a big fan of the TFM Havoc. The way the cars scale together works for me. And thats how i view combiners if they were real world cars that formed a larger sum. That being said the original GT, UT, scale works for me , except Bruticus and Devastator due to the fact those are huge vehicles.
If you watch the episode The Key to Vector Sigma Part 1 there is a scene where Soundwave isstanding with the Stunticons and they are all about the same height. Soundwave stands equal to the Stunticons but Motormaster is a bit taller than both Megatron and SW in the shot. I think Fans Toys has scaled them perfect.
Great discussion topic. Personally I will go with the XTB set combined and the FT set as robots. I have always seen Devastator and Predaking as a head or so taller than the rest.
Thanks that's a really good comparison guide, the xt sculpt looks awesome and most cartoon accurate which is what I personally am after, though with devastator the jinbao looked the best of what was available so that one with be the one that stands out in my collection lol
Excellent video. I’m a big FansToys fan, and will tell you I’m nervous about their combiners. I don’t know how they are going to pull off the (generally) premium feel and weight off in combined form. The ratchets in the hips and shoulders will have to be insanely strong. I’ve pre-ordered mine so looking forward to how they are going to attack the problem.
In my mind, Predaking is the only combiner that should be bigger than Dev, so I'm good with XTB's combined size, especially when we consider the scale between Cars v Construction equipment. I'm all in on XTB. The combined mode looks just about right next to Dev and the Individual bot modes / car modes scale much better with the established MP carbot standard.
I was thinking about Purchasing DX9 & X-Transbots Stunticons because I really want to COMBINE them. I really appreciate the Information you give. I love going by scale Thank you Sir You are AWESOME
Weird, after watching some G1 season 2 episodes the other day, the Stunticons are my second favorite Combiner (bruticus #1) and Dead End is my 2nd favorite componet of all Combiner teams (Swindle #1)
Great outro. That's what I'm like to and, as you clearly know, that's what Nas is like as well: "even if you wish me the opposite, sooner or later we'll all see who the prophet is."
What a great sit down Saturday! As usual I agree with you about all the points behind choices and look ect….. But, not so much on scale. However, as much as I like the Fans Toys look I am actually going with the X-Transbots Menasor. A couple reasons one, my combiners are not displayed on the shelf with other combiners they are in different places. Second I like the scale of the X-Transbots, while I know it does not match the G1 cartoon I am cool with Menasor being more like the smaller beefy tough guy of the combiner world and well cars just are not as big as Construction vehicles or planes. Third, while I appreciate the quality over dollars that price point for X-Transbots + the quality makes it very appealing. Now wait you say.... scale is all messed up in the Transformers universe. Very , very true however, I like to kinda make my own scale ideas for my display. After all I bought all the Fans Toys Dinobots except Sludge which I got the Gigapower, why? Because I like the idea of the Apatosaurus being slightly bigger than the other dinos because really it just is. Still like you said eye of the beholder and really when you think about it, isn't it better we all have different collections and displays? I mean who wants to be a copycat? and why not just have what you want. Which, I know you are a big proponent of which, is why I like you and prefer your review channel to others. Anyway just one opinion of many no more or less valid and I think it is really great we have so many choice to begin with! That says a lot about how far these companies and the community has come. Now on to community, I wish I could be a bigger part of the community it is hard for me as I do not use FB, Instagram, Twitter or even message boards ect…. TH-cam is the only place I regularly visit. Still, maybe one day I will have a chance to get to a TFcon and hang out. As always Bobby great job!
Great video. For me if the individual bots scale appropriately for my taste(so to speak) then the combined mode automatically scales because they can't size change. I only want 1 set for all 3 modes. I want either super cartoon accurate or heavily cartoonish with a real world feel. For me, regardless of images, (which happen to be inconsistent), I believe that car bots should be car bots. I got Transformission because I like the IDW look and I'm inpatient. I'm going with XTB now for my general displays. I will have both displayed separately.
nice video bobby. definitely helps me a lot especially the scale chart comparisons. but you left out another one combiner scale which are Giant Maketoys and Fansproject Menasor
I dunno, the Fans Toys obviously look great, but the individual limbs are just too big. I have a rotating display, only room really for one combined at a time, two at best, and I can't have them towering over the car bots. I went with the FT Superion because I don't mind the Aerialbots being seeker sized, but given the options here, XTB is my choice. The DX9 combiner shell looks extremely plain especially around the legs. I'll trade 0.5" in total height for more linework and more proper bot mode scaling.
Great Vid. You touch on both sides of the discussion. I’m loving XTB for robot mode but for combined I really need to see it function in combined mode as well as what the scale is. The right size but a floppy mess isn’t going to cut it. Patience is a virtue.
I'm someone who is on a fixed income so once I have started a combiner I stay with the one I've started. I have the first 2 figures from X-Transbots so that's my Menasor. If Fans Toys have theirs available first I would have considered but it is what it is.
Man, this was a great sitdown Saturday video. I was going crazy trying to decide which set to choose. But that scale chart was truly a blessing to help me decide (can't thank you enough for that). Before this video, I was leaning towards DX9's set, but having seen that chart made me realize that the XTB set is the best one for me. And it's odd because I'm getting the Zeta Bruticus and Superion and Toy World Devy. I'm also getting the Generation Toy Defensor (whom not many people are talking about). And I think XTB's Menasor is going to be around Generation Toy Defensor's height. More or less. I don't know... I just like the idea of having deferent size combiners. But I definitely see and have respect for what you are going after for your collection. I would love to get both DX9 and XTB sets because I think both look great, but sadly I can only get one. And XTB is that one for me. But what about the FansToys set? Well... that's the reason I can only choose one of the other two sets. Because I'm definitely getting the FansToys for robot mode. Those FT Stunticons look fricking amazing. Anyways... thanks again for this video and that size chart. Much appreciated. I was wondering... what are your thoughts on that Generation Toy Defensor set? I know it's not on the scale you are going for, but It would be nice to hear your opinion on how the set is looking up in general. Cheers!
When they were last asked Zeta said the Stunticons were off the table in the short term. It sounds like they plan to do them but not next. They did not expand on why they were waiting.
Unless the quality control tanks on their Motormaster, I'm going for XTB. Those carbots look perfect to my memory. Cartoon accurate bots and realistic vehicles. I couldn't be any happier. FT bots look too big in relation to Autobot carbot bots, and I worry about their vehicle sizes being the same. I always thought the cartoon's decision to make the combined modes uniform size was a lazy cheat, so I have no need or want for combined mode size uniformity to rule out over individual bot or vehicle size. The notion of combiners was to make bots that were bigger than individual bots. It was not to make the absolute biggest bot possible, or to match one team's combined mode to any other team's combined mode. So when the combined modes turn out to not be uniform, I'm totally OK with that. Megatron, Soundwave, Blaster, Perceptor, etc., Microchange-based designs HAD to feature mass-shifting when they took on new lives as TFs. But whenever it can be avoided, I would prefer to do so. Make the vehicle modes a uniform scale and realistic looking, and then let the bot and combined mode sizes fall wherever they may. It's funny for me to think, but each individual Seeker or Aerialbot bot should be bigger than every non-Aerialbot combiner bot. Jetplanes ain't no joke! And I'm fine with that. Let carbots take on Seekers like midget wrestlers and Andre the Giant.
I feel the same way. As long as the alt-mode/ robot mode scale properly. The stunticons should scale with the mp cars. And the aerialbots should scale with the seekers. The combine modes should sort themselves out after that. Combaticons and protectobots.... that's a conversation for another day.
The DX9 looks good but the chest seems a bit bulky to me, maybe I should check out some other photos, but I’m definitely waiting until Fans Toys is at least 3 figures in until I decide to jump on one. Edit: I looked at the DX9 combined mode. The chest looked bulky because the cars hadn’t been put on the arms making them look thin thus making the chest look to large in comparison.
Im two members in with X-Transbots and I have no real complaints. However I'm like Bobby. The Stunticons are special to me. They were the only combiner team I had in the 80s and they were great on the show. I will brobably get all three too. Going by speculation it looks like Fans Toys Motormaster transforms into the full tractor trailer whereas X-Transbots and DX9 are just doing the cab so that is of great interest. I wish one of them would have done a toy inspired design so it would be easier to double dip on the same character.
I always see Menasor as the smallest combiner of the gang due to the vehicles involved and Devastator the biggest due to the vehicles being real big in real life. I would go for Transform Mission.
For me it will probably be DX9. Though I am also going to keep an eye on Fanstoys... Whichever ends up looking the best next to Toyworld Devastator and the Zeta Toys combiners.
Didn't Fansproject also make a Stunticon set? Oh wait, he's talking about Fans Toys! Different company! When you figure out the answer to your own question while typing that question, then post anyway because you've already taken the time to type it....
I'll be rolling with X-Transbots for bot/car modes. waiting to see what Zeta does. Like you, I would love to have all my combiners at the same head level with Predaking being a little bigger. Not sure if I'm in on the Fans Toys set. If Zeta doesn't make a Menasor, then my back up will be to display X-Transbots Menasor combined with the Insecticons.
The last time Zeta addressed the Stunticons they said they are off the table in the short term, though they didn't say why. I expect them to do the team eventually, just maybe not until the other 3 are finished.
Been struggling with this one for a while. I pocked up the TFM set because 1) I was fiscally flush at the time and 2) they are gorgeous--even though they don't go with my larger collection. I'd buy both the FT and XTB sets if I could; DX9 is such a mixed bag these days that I've lost confidence in their product (I'd love to be wrong this time though). I'm trying to wind down my collecting, and have sold off most of my impulse buys and unnecessary stuff. Also, still trying to decide if I should finish Ragnaros or jump ship to Zeta. I'm okay with Menasor being a tiny bit shorter, so likely XTB for me. And FT with my taxes in 2020. :D
Hi Bobby great discussion as usual I always enjoy hearing your opinion now I have bad news for your wallet magic square is making legends scale stunticons I saw a picture on showz.com sorry looks like you might have another set to get keep up the amazing content and always give your own honest opinions they are appreciated thanks
I actually feel TW Devi is too small compared to Zeta Brute... I've seen them side to side and I feel Devi should always be just that little bulkier, especially being 6 bots. I think the Xbots Menasor is fine next to it though...
Thanks for the video as was torn on what to do once Fanstoys dropped stunticon pics. In my mind the combiners have a height difference but that's me. I am going with xtb and Fanstoys. I'm not a huge fan of the zeta stuff so it's not really a factor. I think what the alt modes are should have and impact on the size. Devy should be biggest as not only is he huge construction vehicles but there are 6 instead of 5. Any ways I hate rambling in text form I'd rather have a conversation but thanks for the video and keep it coming
Hi, I did google the site that is meantioned at the end kennedysvillage.org/ just in case someone wants to check it out (it wasn't in the description at the moment I check)
Thanks for this video!! Well help me on my choice and for my collection, Xtransbots seems the way to go! Probably at some point I will do the same as you I like the G1 look have that one as the bots and the Fanstoys as Menasor! Thanks!
The last time Zeta addressed the Stunticons they said they were off the table for the short term. They did not expand on why so it could be as simple as they wanted to finish Bruticus and Superion before addressing anything else, or they may decide they don't want to be the 4th active one and won't do it until the other 3 have had some time to sell out.
Ultimately, for myself, it has to scale w/ FT omega since that's one of my main pieces and will be displayed as menasor. I hope all these companies do well enough, still seems like the golden age of transformers. Great, great job on the scaling chart; that stuff is tedious. Maybe you could get a part time editor for your vids. Thanks!
I always pictured Menasor being a touch shorter than Devy or Bruticus, based on what makes up their alt modes. Devy being 6 construction vehicles which are on average very big. Bruticus with WILDLY different sized vehicles but again, ON AVERAGE, the same or slightly more mass than 6 construction vehicles makes sense. Menasor has one big rig but four sports cars, which should average out to a lot less mass than the others. So with Zeta as my basis, I'm going XTB. In my eye, a Menasor should NEVER be bigger than his brethren, which excludes DX9 by a little and FT is going to be WAY overboard. But they're probably trying to define their own scale now, trusting their fans to replace every gestalt they already have down the road.
As long as the cars scale is the same as the Takara MP. That is all I ask. The scale of the combiner should not influence the scale of the cars and bots. Just my opinion. But the reason I feel this way is because I see MP as trying to make everything more to real scale, now that being said. I do understand characters like Blast Off and Whirl present problems with this, but I feel that its best practice to do the scale the closest they can get to real accuracy. I would love to see a Brawl based on the real world Leopard 1 tank.
I’ll loss an inch off my height, being 6’6” is a pain. I’m gonna roll with X-Transbots, planning on doing a stop motion of G1 episodes as a passion piece & I think that looks best for that job.
I was planning on doing the same thing until I got a brain tumor the size of a Orange. I'm a big Run the Jewels fan so I was going to name it Run the Matix #RTM #RUNTHEMATRIX. If I still have time to do it.
Then you should wait and see who makes them the easiest or most pleasurable to transform. Its no point buying a beatiful figure and it happens to be a pain to transform or unnessesary amount of steps to go from 1 form to another
Thanks, Bobby. I was primarily in on the X-Transbots set, but I hadn't realized how much shorter the combined mode was compared to TW Constructor. I'll probably pick up DX9 for Combined mode now.
XTB Menasor is advertised to be 49cm, compared to 50cm for Constructor. That is about 2/5ths of an inch. The 1 inch difference is between XTB Menasor and Zeta Bruticus.
I also have Zeta Bruticus, and I have him and TW Constructor standing next to each other. I have them both in A-stances, and I see their height as roughly the same. If XTB Menasor is that close then it may not be an issue after all.
@@PaulSpurgeon Another option is to put a yard stick or measuring tape next to them and measure 1cm shorter than Constructor to see where XTB is saying their Menasor should line up. I assume both measurements reported are for a straight up stance, but if that is the case it should still be the same difference if they have the same width A-stance. What I don't have any idea on is how much rounding was used for the reported numbers.
@@cameronmoriarty3313 yeah the sizes given here aren't right. Constructor is 50cm, Dx9 Menasor is 50cm, Zeta Superion is 50cm and XTB Menasor is 49cm. They're all gonna look spot on with each other combined. It's the individuals that ppl need to decide on how big they want.
@@TigerBladeUK I admit I haven't measured it myself, but I remember some video someone did measure the Zeta Bruticus and showed it to be 52cm. With the 3rd cm taller than the 49cm Menasor, and being about 40% of an inch per centimeter that would make the XTB Menasor an inch shorter than Zeta Bruticus, if they didn't screw up how they measured it in that video. I have not seen anything on Zeta Superion's actual final height yet and hadn't commented on it, but the Constructor and both Menasor heights are what I said.
Great video, Skulltop! Cartoon accuracy is my main, but scale too as you say...i think you need mp10 to be waist high for the combined mode to be right...off the top of my head
Where MP-10 should reach on a combiner is one of those "which episode are you referring to?" issues. On the opposite extreme for example in "City of Steel" Devastator went King Kong while carrying Optimus and Optimus was barely larger than his hand and in "Starscream's Brigade" Bruticus' head is almost as big as Starscream. Based on those two it could be argued MP combiners could be 5 of 6 feet tall to be right next to MP-10 and 11. Obviously that is completely insane and would never happen though.
It all comes down to quoting a very intelligent man: "You like it, you win." That´s all.
Plus, the Constructicons are all 6 bots all in all as compared to only 5 Stunticons.
Mass shifting is the excuse I give myself when I accidentally get a poorly scaled model :[
@@miaouew I like that excuse. ;)
I usually like my devastator as the tallest (because he is made up of six construction vehicles) bruticus as mabye an inch shorter (because five combat vehicles) and menasor as mabye an inch or half an inch shorter (as they are one truck and four everyday cars)
Sorry for the essay long comment, also menasor is my favourite combiner too
Hey bobby, just wanted to clarify the height and point out a couple of features. 11:02 XTB's will be 1 cm shorter not 1 inch. It'll also feature butterfly joints and an ab crunch. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the clarification 598. Looking forward to the rest of your designs.
I hope Abaddon is still in the works! And maybe a Eligos v2?
1 cm! That should be close enough to work well.
The Don Figueroa IDW version of the Stunticons were made to look cool!
I agree with you. However, be careful what you say about G1. The fans will tear you up if they catch word of this. Just a warning from a fellow Stunticon fan.
Rick Wright all in are you bluffing?
He said crack rock beige 😂😂😂😂❤💪🏾🔥✌🏾
I like the “Skullbow Chart “ you made in the video. Very nice!
I really want to see a clear FT version before I commit.
Now that was one great breakdown. Love it man. Thanks again for the shoutout and heartfelt words for Kennedy’s Village. The wife and I are eternally grateful!
all i know is that i dont want my menasor to be small, or have a dumb Menasor skeleton you have to attach the stunticons too.
FT and XTB for the win.....
I like my combiner bots a bit smaller like deluxe-voyer size for the limbs and leader class for the torso bot....
It will seem like a waste to have FT in combined mode, but given their size, that's the route I might go....
Thanks for the discussion sir....
Things I'm willing to sacrifice an inch on:
Grass height
Pizza circumference
Dog leash length
Table height
Personal space
DVD box height
Shoelace length
Quite a few very specific things actually
Should Motormaster be the same size as Optimus Prime in robot mode???
I feel like he should be a little bigger. If not bulkier. At least in the toy. Its tough because the cab of the truck are motormasters feet and legs.
Love it.
While I don't need someone to tell me which set is better, I do really appreciate having one video that compares each set with a pros/cons presentation. Makes it easier for me to make a decision. Your Dinobots video was how I was able to decide on which Dinobot set to go with.
My head cannon for combiner size
1. Devastator (all big real world vehicles + extra bot)
2. Superion (jets are huge)
3. bruticus (all big real world vehicles)
4. menasor (one big vehicle & 4 medium vehicles)
5. Defensor ( 1 big vehicle 3 medium vehicles 1 small vehicle)
6. Computron (2 big vehicles 2 small vehicles 1 medium vehicle
I’m not sure where to put predaking
Motormaster is only the cab portion of the truck, Menasor is stored inside the trailer.
in the G1 cartoon and G1 toy, he's the entire truck. I don't know if you're addressing one specific toy of all these possible contenders.
@@VRHyoumaru the XTB's take on Menasor
The scale breakdown stuff is done exceptionally well here! More videos need this sort of analysis to help us choose.
I'm also going with xtransbots..loved this .. rokkok bro
I for one am completely satisfied with "I don't know yet, it's too early to say". Thanks for doing the video despite that.
This Sit-down Saturday has been very informative for me, I will have to go with FansToys Stunticons. XTB's Stunticons looking great too. I just might buy those too.
You’ve hit your stride love the vids. Have a great Thanksgiving.
Amazing video, thank u sooooo much. I needed it badly - I had absolutely no idea, how to choose my stunticons crew. THANKS!
🤖😁😁👍🏻👍🏻 Awesome. Very informative. Great seeing all the menasors lined up like that! Thanks.
Thanks for reading.
honestly I’m gonna go with XTB since not only are they cartoon accurate, but their vehicle modes are so goddamn amazing.
Love your channel man. Great work. Greetings from the Netherlands.
I have transformission menasor (posing for a shelf dive) in combined mode right now, but will change them to bot or vehicle mode when Fanstoys comes out. Excellent video good sir!
Man of the people I say. Thanks for the all the information. Can't wait for releases.
Well you convinced the heck out of me. Consider my wallet destroyed.
Also really LOVED this video, such a good break down. Just the honest truth.
Thanks that's a really good comparison guide, the xt sculpt looks awesome and most cartoon accurate which is what I personally am after, though with devastator the jinbao looked the best of what was available so that one with be the one that stands out in my collection lol
Thank you for another great video that ends a weekend and start a new week with fun!
Wow you hit that one out of the park bro. I can’t thank you enough for the time you put into that one because I know that took a while.
No "So to speak" on "I just can't fit this in there"? You may be slipping Bobby.
LMAO @ CRACK ROCK BEIGE!!!!!!
I was thinking about Purchasing DX9 & X-Transbots Stunticons because I really want to COMBINE them. I really appreciate the Information you give.
I love going by scale
Thank you Sir
You are AWESOME
Weird, after watching some G1 season 2 episodes the other day, the Stunticons are my second favorite Combiner (bruticus #1) and Dead End is my 2nd favorite componet of all Combiner teams (Swindle #1)
XTB Overheat is breaking like an 80's dance craze, hopefully FT and DX9 can withstand being transformed without breaking.
Just when I thought it was going to be easy to finish off the combiners.
I will have both displayed separately.
okay this video sealed the deal on which menasor I want and that is the one from transform mision.
nice video bobby. definitely helps me a lot especially the scale chart comparisons. but you left out another one combiner scale which are Giant Maketoys and Fansproject Menasor
YO BOBBEA ( Last O.G. reference) 3rd time I'm watching this one. Might be time for a part 2 (because of Zeta & Fanstoys).
Cheers!
Fantastic video.... one of your best discussions yet... keep it up Scully
Mannn! Love these types of videos. I have to go with the Fanstoys. Looking forward to that Ft-31A Roadking.
I prefer the Technobots personally. Might get the Unite Warriors Computron with the upgrade kits to give him proper hands and feet.
i still dont know, i might hold out for what zeta will do next, otherwise it will be fanstoys
When they were last asked Zeta said the Stunticons were off the table in the short term. It sounds like they plan to do them but not next. They did not expand on why they were waiting.
In my opinion XTB's Menasor is closer in scale to ToyWorld's Dev than to the smaller combiners so I'm going with that.
Great relevant discussion. Sure helped me make my choice on which menasor to get. I just wonder if Iron factory would make one? Loved their Bruticus
@@josephmonroy3865 - Hahaha. A jeep and a motorcycle for a leg!
@@texasbeast239 and a space shuttle for an arm... some things are better left alone...
Thanks for making this comparison, Uncle Skullface. I have the info I need for me. Xtransbots will work best with my collection.
Why zeta haven’t a take on menasor, I love the quality and joints.
Scale I want: About the same size as Fanstoys Omega Supreme. What I have space for: about the size of TFC Superion.
I hope fanstoys do a great job on menasor. I want it to have super good joints and that it holds great.
I follow the “TFC” scale with the exception of a larger Dev & PK (which I feel should be bigger), so the TFM will do it for me. :)
I don't own any 3party figures but am thinking of getting the xtransbot menasor i like how the figures look
Hi, I did google the site that is meantioned at the end kennedysvillage.org/ just in case someone wants to check it out (it wasn't in the description at the moment I check)
loved the episode, but one thing i was waiting for which alot of people will Lolz at would be the no mention of the FP one :P
Thanks for this video!! Well help me on my choice and for my collection, Xtransbots seems the way to go! Probably at some point I will do the same as you I like the G1 look have that one as the bots and the Fanstoys as Menasor! Thanks!
FT for robot mode. Holding out for Zeta for combiner. If nothing forthcoming from them, DX9.
Thanks!
I thought officially the car bots were only loyal to motor master was because he ruled by fear?
Its no point buying a beatiful figure and it happens to be a pain to transform or unnessesary amount of steps to go from 1 form to another
meh i like the transform mission because it scales perfect to me in combine mode and the robot modes
Still sticking to xtb and ill go straight for fanstoys
Ft for menasor and xtb for bot mode ❤
As always a great comparison!
Also which set was that behind you that magically disappeared and turned into books? You are a powerful powerful wizard
Toon and toy accuracy, and its importantce...
Maybe an idea for a Sit Down Saturday?
For my preference:
DX9: Robot Mode
X-transbots: Alt/Vehicle mode
FansToys: Combiner mode
Is Mensaor made of as much parts-forming as he seems to be?
Dam good Saturday sit down i want my
Mensor to size with fanstoys Omega
