    I've been watching videos about the Allseas 92 for a few years. For me, it is the ultimate Expedition Yacht. Tim Alls and his company have been building offshore fishing platforms for the world's worst waters for many years. This yacht is a culmination of the extreme seakeeping abilities of a blue-water fishing boat married to the 5-star luxury of a yacht. Stunning.

    Agreed, Allseas 92, have read and watched a great deal, if I win the lottery it will be the first boat I buy. Heavy on design utility and not overly fancy.

    Funnily enough I watched the Nautistyles videos on this boat with its designer, Tim. It’s a superb piece of engineering with a go anywhere build. If you’re an engineer then the engine room and workshop will be a joy to behold.
    Cleverly thought out, extremely well built. Even the crew area is decent

    This AllSeas yacht is not a Monaco type of yacht. Instead, it is one for serious explorers that are comfortable either living aboard, or traveling extensively to rugged places that other yachts wouldn't attempt. I reall like the wired remote that the captain can use to dock the yacht, or just sit in the chair and drive the yacht with the remote. It eliminates mistakes that can happen with multiple wing stations that are found on most other yachts. I absolutely love this yacht, and had I the money, I would own one in a heartbeat.

    Yeah its a very nice yacht. Unfortunately, CEO Tim Alls of AllSeas Yachts is no longer building yachts. In the companies build history, The company only produced two 92 foot yachts. Hull #1, Heavens gate. And Hull #2 The current one that is for sale thru Denison Yachts, Florida. Sadly, Mr. Alls funding from his financial backers was cut. And he may not be producing any more yachts. Seems like such a great waste that a man with so much to offer the yachting community, can't get back to square one. If I had the money, I would certainly do it. This guy has so much potential.

    • @YachtBuoy

      It’s a real shame - especially as the superyacht - and explorer yacht in particular - market has really taken off recently. It would be great to see Tim being given the opportunity once again to produce more of these 1st class trawler yachts back into production.

    I don't know. Bering 77 is also setting some benchmarks, namely in quality of construction and safety.

    • @davidr9876
      @davidr9876 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are both incredible builders. I think the AllSeas is a little less luxury as it comes from a commercial culture. Notice no teak, and probably not the attention to interior detail and sound isolation that Bearing provides. Notice also the remote by wire handheld remote for docking, no steering wheel, and the sensor monitoring from any screen on the boat, or even any screen anywhere in the world with the software they've developed. So those features are real bonuses and carry over from a commercial background.
      I don't know all the details of what goes into these boats, but the points I mentioned are what stood out to me from the little info available from video tours.

    • @jimminyxmas
      @jimminyxmas 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't know. Bering is definitely more hipster and slick, and definitely more cush, but this boat is more robust than the 77. Berings over reliance on lithium batteries is not something I want in a boat with pretensions of leaving first world civilization behind for as long as possible. I'd rather be on this one if I had to be at sea for weeks crossing an Ocean.

      Bering is a robust pedigree build and the All Seas is a good build. Bering is a company that is growing, available for customer needs, and consumer-facing with a recognizable brand that has pedigree. That doesn't mean All Seas is bad, in fact, it is good but lacks all of the pedigree of a customer support team and well known stable company and brand. The All Seas required a non-proprietary tech upgrade for the latest and greatest, while the All Seas is really a man’s man’s ship with engineering that makes the engineer drool, but truly lacks all of the fit finish, and glamour a ship of this price point must have. Compare the All Seas 92 to its comps and it stands strong in structural build, good engineering software for the captain and crew, but lacks the brand excitement, fish, and finish. The ship is very bland and clearly shows it was designed by engineers for technical ohs and awes, but the competitors like Bering have the same build quality or better, however, Bering builds are catchy and look for what the consumers want with marvelous engineering, but truly focused on what the customer wants with dynamic lux and lore. The All Seas 92 is nice and boring. Looks like the inside of an old house from the 1990s.
      The All Seas needs a complete redo and refit for its interiors and exterior to make it a customer explorer yacht versus an engineer drooling session of oohs and wows and missing the customer needs; it is a cool fishing commercial fishing boat.

    The All Seas 92 is a wonderful ship! I don’t know why Tim is not building more of these. I believe that Alexi at Bering and Tim previously worked together and know each other well from both of their past commercial fishing experiences. Bering seems to be getting quite a bit of press and rolling out multiple steel hull builds.
    My thoughts are that I really like the All Seas 92 because it is very well built and the engineering is above most in the industry, but yet simple and clean. The style of the All Seas 92 is not glitzy or glamorous and lacks the modern sleek look of what the Bering yachts and other ships in this explorer luxury class provide. Sun pads are huge and this ship doesn’t provide much of that.
    My other concern is that Tim is not building any ships and there is no customer support from the builder for this ship. Who is maintaining the proprietary software for updates and for software and hardware break-fix? So for these reasons, it would be a rough choice to buy this ship, because there are too many unknowns around customer service and support. A product in most cases is as good as the customer support and vendor continuing to build and grow to enhance the product line. Also, the crew quarters are right next to the family quarters so my wife, family, and grandchildren would share the same living space with the four-person crew, which is not good for family privacy, and this was not well thought out.
    In order for me to purchase an All Seas 92, I would have to hire an inspector to go through the entire ship, the ship would need a remodel in refit on the inside, and see if there is a way to restructure the crew quarters to a new location away from the family quarters. With all this being said, there would be substantial post-purchase costs for refit and remodeling and updates to the hardware and software to ensure 99% reliability and availability. Based on the comparable ships in this class, regardless of its robust build, there would have to be a considerable price drop on the cost of this ship, due to the risk of purchasing a one to two-build model with no available company or customer service to discuss issues, break-fix, comfort, trust, and support.
    Again, great effort in the All Seas 92, but it lacks the pedigree and its overarching commercial focus misses the consumer need.
    The All Seas 92 is a good build, but it is easy to see why nobody wants this ship because it lacks consumer-facing.
    Tim, get investors, build your marketing, company, sales force, customer support, and good current designers, and cover all of this over your well-built All Seas ship, and you could be a comparable explorer yacht offering like Bering yachts.
    Last thought, this ship is truly not for families and is more of a corporate men’s fishing commercial ship.

    • @AB-ol5uz
      @AB-ol5uz หลายเดือนก่อน

      Curious why you don't think it's for families? It seems to be designed as an owner-operator who doesn't want or need a lot of pampering to enjoy themselves.
      The software comes with the boat so it can be maintained. He used off-the-shelf systems wherever possible so it wouldn't be difficult to operate or maintain. He's obviously much more focused on function than entertaining people but that lends itself to family/friends who enjoy each others company vs. a group of strangers that have to be entertained 24/7.

    What I do not understand is why they don't sell. The first one was built in 2010. I am not sure when the first owner purchased it but I know it was sold in 2017. The second one was built in 2018 and to my knowledge it is still listed for sale. My understanding is that these are the only tow built and one has still not sold. I seem to remember the second one being listed at around 10 million a few years ago and it is now listed for 7.9 million. They are definitely capable explorers but the interior design does not make sense. The galley and dinette suggest an owner operator type of boat. Even though there are 2 nice crew cabins, there is no crew galley. Also the guest cabins are quite dark. I would still love to have this boat but I can easily understand why there is no market for it amongst the people who can afford it.
