      Newer trucks use a single nut to hold both rims so the wood block
      only works with the double nut hubs

    Inner tire on the front axle on my trailer had a blowout today. Backed into a spot at loves for some dinner and seen what was left of the tire. What in the hell? Left the house on monday without my bottle jacks and stands. This literally saved me from having roadside come out, threw some wood blocks up under the airbag hanger, threw the spare on. Thank you sir

    Drop the air and wrap a chain around the axle and the frame and use your leveler valve to lift the wheels. I had a trailer brake lock up on my and I was able to limp it to town this way. Also lost a set of drive tires once and was able to drive the truck with 1 axle in the air and the interlock locked. Always carry a chain when you’re a trucker and don’t wanna pay a wrecker bill.

    • @Ezrider359
      @Ezrider359  4 ปีที่แล้ว

    unfortunately my suspension doesnt behave the same way but you can lower the airbags and wrap a chain around the side of the axle youre working on and plug off that particular airbag and reinflate now will i ever need to do that? hopefully not but ya never know

    On my truck, 6x6 blocks of wood between the frame and axle keep it from dropping and fit perfectly when it's fully inflated. It's how I pull the airbags out.
    But I do feel stupid for not realizing the truck can lift itself off the ground.
