After twisting a grip to adjust needle depth on every other machine I have found on the X1 and this pen that the mechanical feature is cool but it actually feels slow and tedious. I'd rather just twist the grip and be done instead of feeling for buttons.
That’s what I was thinking I’m so used to twisting a grip I literally do it without thinking of it.
Inkjecta is forcing us to think about it and that’s just a step backwards imo.
Still nice to see innovation just wish it was positive innovation lol

Almost got another nano but gonna give this a go
I currently use Inkjecta flite nano as my go to black and grey machine (have tried bishops, Cheyenne, axes etc etc but came back to the Inkjecta). I was quite excited when I saw this but I only use disposable grips so I won’t be buying it. Makes me wonder how many tattooists use disposable grips because surely they are cutting off a big chunk of the market?
A lot of people use disposables!
I’m sure they make a disposables foam cover that can go on it but that still defeats the purpose of keeping the inside of the machine clean like a full disposables grip would!
I feel like they missed the mark quite a bit on this one but who knows, I’ll have to get my hands on it.
The Inkjecta Flite X1 is an amazing machine! People did not buy it because it did not look like a dildo. But I have been using it for almost 2 years now and I love it, it is my workhorse machine. A friend of mine is using it since it came out.
It can push 18RL, no probs. Also for people come from coils, like me, it feels way better in the hand than those pen-shaped machines.

@@adamdarklord I am not a "loyal to the coil" guy.. Loved switching to rotaries, made my work better, but I just cannot deal with the pen machines..
Most of my colleagues hated the machine until they tried the flite x1 :D Most of them saying:"It is ugly plastic shit and huge".. In person it looks better :D
That's not a typo it's because all the flites came stock with a 3.25 cam so that's their "standard"
Well it’s dumb lol obviously “standard” should be the stroke length between shader and liner idk why they thought that was okay
@adamdarklord they are good at making horrible decisions like having to turn the flite x1 upside down to pause it lol ( letting ink flow up towards membrane etc great plan)

Standard not because of the cam size but having all option of bars.. inkjecta nano cams fit this machine so can be changed to whatever one may need..
The 18 volts and steve butcher at 12v is because these machines have a wider voltage adjustment 12v on an inkjecta is like 8 or 9 volts on others swashdrive did a similar thing where it started running at like 13volts. Horrible for battery use. Its only perk is maybe you have more of a "fine" adjustment since it ramps up slower you have a wider range of speeds to dial into
Yeah I was thinking in my head while I filmed that part that maybe it’s just a made up number and that 18v was actually 12v. I don’t fully understand it but wouldn’t it running on a 12volt system like a battery mean that the maximum voltage would only be 12v? Unless they overclock the voltage but that wouldn’t be good for the electronics…. Unless I’m just dumb and missing something. In that case they should just say hertz or 18u “u” for units if it’s not the actual voltage.
It would be nice to hook the Musotoku battery with power bar up to this so we can see the efficiency 🤔
@adamdarklord yea a battery with a maximum of 12v won't be able to push the machine through its full range poor design choice in a time we all want wireless

Looks like another flop to me. They get points for interchangeable cams and give rods. But man just forget the electronic depth adjustment would have been better off just using normal twist grip depth adjustment and offering different sizes my initial thoughts to were the ergo shaped grip is going to stop Me from rotating my mag on different angles easily plus yea offset cartridge hole going to make that even more awkward for the way i like to work. .then I saw the electronic depth and I'm like ugh why. I think the flite nano is ahead of this still since it can use disposable grips it's already really small and also still easier to clean than this new model .
Twist grip and battery built in even if it was the flashlight removable battery style and I would be way more sold on it

The Nano is my go to and they haven’t put anything out as good since. I’m actually really disappointed in this and the X1. The X1 had potential but the motion control shit is straight garbage.
A fan of the inkjecta flite nano.. been using it like 6 years.. the flite x1 is plastic machine.. the flite pen is not even wireless..will be waiting for a better machine..
The Flite nano was an amazing machine! Things have just gotten worse since then. This was the comeback moment and they butchered it 🤦♂️

Yeah it’s a weird thing to advertise it going that high in voltage. Any machine would destroy skin at that speed and the motor would break
