    Just today I prescribed a Neurolens Computer Prescription with Blue Light Filter for a patient that does many hours of computer work per day! I’m so excited for her to have all of the benefits from them since she is on her computer so much. Great video Dr Guymon!

      Confess the Lord Jesus Christ with your mouth and believe in your heart that He died for your sins on the cross and God raised Him from the dead on the third day; repent of your sins and be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit!

    I have ordered an eye-friendly LED lamp that can be adjusted for brightness and color temperature. It also has anti-glare properties. I think using the right desk lamp when doing computer work is part of the equation, and I hope that this new lamp will be better on the eyes than a regular bulb lamp. Also useful might be moist chamber glasses to reduce tear evaporation.

      @@DrEyeGuyI’ve bought Avulux and I have to say I’m disappointed. I’ve not tested the amount of blue light, red light, amber light it blocks but I still get headaches wearing them. I prefer to stick with my Horus x glasses and whenever I get a migraine I use migralens glasses which are green tint

      LED no matter the color still have tons of blue light. Better to opt for good old incandescent lights or candlesz

    Constant eye strain usually triggered by either weak eye muscles (most cases Superior oblique / Medial Rectus) and/or Strabismus or Ciliary Muscle Spasm (Accommodative Spasm) which induce dry eyes and blurry vision. The following causes are not that common but can cause sensory strabismus such as (Ocular Hypertension (or spikes IOP during the day), Glaucoma, Cataracts and Keratoconus.

    • @nebula421
      @nebula421 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What causes Keratoconus to cause sensory strabismus and would that be corrected if you used corrective contacts such as RGP or Scleral lenses?

    • @Psychiatry.321
      @Psychiatry.321 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@nebula421 Hi, In most cases, YES Sclera lenses or corneal transplant ( keratoplasty), should fix the sensory strabismus induced by Keratoconus as long as the eye muscles are working properly and no Cataracts or opaque in the eye lens due to corneal dystrophies. You need to make sure you don't have any optic nerve abnormalities too.

    Hello! I am currently trying to decide what I need to get for my prescription computer glasses. I believe I suffer from photophobia and am trying to decide if I should get anti-reflective / anti-glare, blue light filter or a simple TINT. Which one would you recommend for someone who suffers from eye strain and headaches/migraines? If a tint, WHICH ONE / COLOR?

    • @DrEyeGuy

      You could definitely try the glasses I mentioned at the end of this video.

    Thank you for the tips, doc! As you mentioned the visible red veins in the eyes. How to get rid of them?
    I have dry eyes and they’re permanently in my eyes. In the morning, when I wake up, they appear less. But when I go out , the wind and cold air make them really red. I’m on Xiidra and EYsuVIS for a week, along of using Refresh Celluvisc, Digital PF and Relieva PF.
    I know we need eyes protection when we go out but I live in Seattle- it’s rainy and cloudy so sunglasses aren’t useful in winter here.
    I ordered Stoggles 👓 ( still waiting for the delivery) which have blue light blocking. I’m considering to wear them on the daily basic cause I work in indoor cold, dry air condition. I’d like to know if it helps. Thank you!

    This could have not come at a better time for me! thank you for such a great video|! I am a bit confused with respect to what you mean regarding the power for the computer glasses - I am assuming this is different from a prescription correct? Just trying to understand why nest to get these from an eye doctor and how this "power" is determined. Thank you!

    • @DrEyeGuy
      @DrEyeGuy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great Question! I should have explained that part better. Your eye doctor can take your normal prescription glasses (that corrects for nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism), and adjust the power so the focal point of the glasses is focused for your computer screen. Along the same lines of using "reading glasses", but based off of your exact prescription.

    • @sophiemanolis9433
      @sophiemanolis9433 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DrEyeGuy and if you do not have a prescription? I am not nearsighted and still do not need glasses for presbyopia

    • @DrEyeGuy
      @DrEyeGuy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Sophie Manolis you could still get a prescription for them. They would have a slight "plus" power or slight magnification to adjust the focal length. Some people with great vision can actually use mild reading glasses that you can get over the counter. They aren't the best, but it works for a lot of people.

      @@DrEyeGuy one last question - if a prescription is provided, would that mean that you would always need to wear the glasses in order to see the computer well or is the prescription really just to help with the eye strain? Asking because I know that with glasses needed due to presbyopia once you start wearing them and your eyes gets used to them, it is difficult to see up close without them. With the prescription computer glasses however, does the same thing happen? would you need to always wear them to see the computer well? I hope what I am asking makes sense :)

      Thats too far, your eyes will need more power to focus at that distance.
