    Id love to see this test on the 3800. See how much of a difference a bigger tb + ported inlet makes. Going from a 65 mm tb to like a 102 or something, port matched and all.

      I had an L67 making 450HP. Intercooler was at least 40 of that.

    Crazy idea, could you use two of those superchargers blowing to the middle? Like rotate one 80 degrees left and the other 80 degrees right so they blow down into a 20 degree downward V into the intake manifold. I know the fabrication would be more difficult but then you'd have double the displacement and won't need smaller pulleys.

    A square edge pipe inlet will only flow 72-82%. A radiused inlet will flow 97%. I was blown away when I read that on a Honeywell engineering document a few years ago.
    A square pipe edge creates turbulence reducing flow.
    I'm really interested to see your next video with the bellmouth inlet.
    BTW, they make bellmouth intakes for HVAC systems. It's amazing how much an inlet is quieted down with a proper inlet.

    I remember back in the forum days everyone said this SC was too tiny to make any power. That it was only capable of 250HP at the most, and way too small for a V8 😂

    How about a junkyard turbo build where you use a turbo, intercooler, etc. all salvaged from other vehicles. Like run 6.2 flex fuel injectors in a 5.3 with the turbo off a duramax and see what happens🤷‍♂️

    Given the difference that N2O made I wager this would be another non trivial improvement!

    I had a 2000 Buick Regal GS supercharged 3800 this same exact supercharger I missed that car that's crazy if they fit on LS4 Motors though never thought about it

      NO.....most diesel terboz have a max TIT of 900*C and for gas motors that is a bit low and they can have short lifespans if over temp'd....unless we run E85, that is :D !!!!....and big diesel terboz are...well....BIG and oft times pretty inefficient and/or have odd pressure ratio issues..... you can get late spool and poor performance unless you get the right ones...and on and on@@williamrouse3033

    I wonder what the design max speed of that blower is vs what it's being spun to now? It might be reliable regardless, I dunno. I'd just hate to do that and then blast a bunch of rotor shrapnel right down inside a motor...

    I’m wondering at what rpm does the bottom end come apart??? Most likely valve float will act up before the bottom end comes apart unless it gets beefed up.

      we cured valve float, and the stock bottom end has gone to 1500+ hp

    So on a 6.0 truck engine "Boosted" Is it worth going with double springs for more lift 600+. Or just use the BTR beehive springs I have. And find a cam with more duration. It's got the sloppy stage 2

      Considering the lv1 is a ls based lt V6 unlike the LU3/L35, it should respond as well as the 4.8 LS, but even a LU3 4.3 with a turbo has known to snap the 10 bolt rear axles.

    I have a 87 chevy g10 van with a 305. I have access to a 350 or I can pick a chevy 2500 chevy truck with a 5.3l ls I could body swap. Onto. Would it be cheaper to build a 400hp 350 or swap the frame with the 5.3l 4x4 with the a m90. For 400hp as thats my goal hp

    Hey someone said you can't put an m90 on a 3.7L ford v6 from the mustang they said it wont work is that true?

      Any motor can be run with boost-maybe they meant it won't bolt right on because the 3.7L doesn't have the same intake-you would have to do some fabrication to mount the blower

      3.8 V6 guys have done it and roush using the Eaton m90's have done it in mustangs as well. The blower won't live long overdriving it that hard and it'll create a lot of heat. However it's nothing new.
      Also you have to remember it's flywheel HP not rwhp. So figuring at about 18-20% drivetrain loss it's making in the range of 400hp to the wheels. Is it the most efficient way to make the HP? Not remotely.

      ⁠@@richardholdener1727 I always wanted to use a budget supercharger in a compound setup on my 12 valve cummins diesel mustang. Supercharger like this to increase Volumetric efficiency basically linked to rpm would be great.. i could have boost easily and quickly when i bump into the stage beams.. and it would help to simulate a “bigger engine” to spool a bigger turbo charger like an S475 or 480. typical cummins compounds need to cram all the exhaust gas through the smaller manifold charger and it’s gate.. the supercharger would not have that exhaust bottleneck. is there “compressor maps” for the M90? I wonder what pressure ratios it can handle.

    Richard, you can increase the diameter of the opening on the bottom of the Eaton for increased flow. Probably still lots of info floating around the interwebs from the good ol' days.

      @@richardholdener1727 so the blower picked up maybe 50 peak hp? Lots of midrange gains through the middle vs a hiram cam 4.8? Seems like alot of work for small gain. Would a stock 6.0 make similar midrange and peak #s as the blower with a smaller cam?

      the NA motor made 385 hp (more with the Hot Rod)-so 100+ hp with the blower

      4.3 has offset rod journals to smooth out the uneven V6, but those are the weak spots. I had a friend break one he only hauled his family around in. Not to mention, they have an unreasonable amount of intake manifold and oil pan leaks.
