Again, that tape transfer at end makes the beat melt in your eardrums. Like butter.
tape always makes it better
Would love to see how to connect/use tape recorder... what gear needed to connect.
@@johnnybeats777 use a plugin. There's many great ones...especially when using a daw

Jon & Order: MPC
haha
Hehe
*slow clap*
the fuggin auto wah and low pass was such a good call on that synth. great creative decision damn.
Yeah I was surprised it handled it as well as it did
Yes. Would love to see more MPC stuff. Thanks Mike!
thats not a mpc
@@larrytan73 thats not a comment
😂😂@@prospectnyc
Maschine MK3 next
MPC Stuff. Pun intended.
4:03 That Bassline did something to me that I cannot explain. It's like I heard it speak "Hey, it's fine you'll be aight".
love when basslines speak affirmations to me
FINE, I’ll edit the JMB MPC video…
thanks for watching everyone!
luv u
Most supportive editor in the game. ya love to see it
its good, I intended to watch this attentively right off bat seeing the MPC, dope beat
This video has showed me how good ear and knxwledge is the key to success. Like Madlib said so many times, hardware doesn't matter. I've had an MPC live for a couple of years and never came up with anything close to this. This is beat making masterclassess. Thanks for sharing Jon!
Thanks for watching!
its crazy anyone thinks the key to success is any given tool. Its always the creator, the labour the understanding. The tool is just a tool to get to the end result
It's so easy to use I'm not sure how you couldn't make anything you liked.
@@-The-Darkside skill is developed with time and not an MPC. Ease of use only goes so far if you rent a great producer yet
At the end of the day, it's musicians who make music, and musicians have that ear inherently. But regular Joe's can develope it.
Mpc one is pretty user friendly.
Glad to see Mike P daddy giving it some love.
I have my gripes with it. Looking forward to seeing the 3.0 address those maybe
@@jonmakesbeats 3.0 looks intuitive and more immediate -- which used to be Maschine's strength over MPC. I'm finally sold on it; Just holding out for the next MPC Live hardware refresh.
This was dope bro!! Thank you for making music!! I have to get back to that!!
doooo it
PLEASE MORE MPC STUFF
Hell yeah super stoked for this one!
The machine is capable of a lot of different workflows. You just owned it pretty easy. Great work and a great laid back beat.
Thanks for watching!
The tape on the end sounds so sick!
Yesssss, more MPC Stuff plz.
Good stuff man, specially the “din ne ne ne ne ne ne ne ne ne” part.
good job I knew what you were talking about
Needed a neeeeeooowwwwwwaawahwahwah tho
Saw your face and was like is that John Wayne!!! 40 Winks! AFRAID OF US I honestly thought you just stopped music and randomly seeing this channel made me pretty happy. Thanks for still killing it.
Found this with the MPC hashtag in the description. It’s really useful to find this vid!
😮 exciting to see you cook up on the MPC!
cheers, Jesse
Yes, I would love to see more MPC videos, thanks for asking 😉
I love my MPC One. Really happy to see this video!
Yeeeeeees Jon! Would love to see what you can make on the mpc.
Hope you saw it in the video!
@@jonmakesbeats made me fire up mine right after brother 👊
Thank you Mr Elwood
as a three year MPC user and a fan of your page, i’m delighted to see you using this machine in a way that inspires me to cut mine on immediately. great work as usual!
More MPC!!!
I’ve been waiting a long time for this! Awesome beat! Definitely bring on more! My fave thing is that I make endless four/ eight bar loops on the MPC so I can’t wait to watch you process those into songs… that’s really going to help me. 🎉
Yeeeeeaaah dawg. Thanks for showcasing the ONE!! Best $699 I ever spent! ❤
Thanks for being you and being so inspiring. Keep up the great work!
yeah ! MPC Time !
Oh that's HEAT
so nice to be able to look behind the curtains of the creative process. Looks so easy but that's strictly mastering a skill after years and years of dedication to a craft. keep up the great work. much love and respect
thanks for watching
I have been playing around with my octatrack mk2 for a while, coz i got inspired of your workflow and what that little maschine can do and it's sound.
But did just some days go back to my MPC, and found that i can kind of do the same workflow and at the same time keep that inspiring feeling present.
But also since the octatrack is a beast, it is still old when it comes to some functionality, but in my case especially the ram size.
Not for the creative purpose but for the extra work if you want to stem out 7 tracks + live mix, thats longer then 1 minute, in one go.
So yes! I would love to see my favorite producer, do his thing especially on the MPC😊
Love from Sweden
I want to see more of this.
This is great! I enjoyed seeing how you use your synth in the MPC One. I think the 3.0 software will make it even easier. Awesome video as always!
If someone wants to slide me that 3.0 I wouldn't be mad at it
Awesome! Now I can really follow along to what he's doing.
Beautiful work !
nice 🚀
The new gen MPCs actually reveal if your desk is level 💯
hmmm.....
love when you talk through the decision making and all that
digging the mpc beat. luvit
Thank you so much!
yes i would like too see more mpc videos too!
More please!!!
great video! Would love to see more stuff on the MPC One!
Thanks John. Always fun watching you cook.
Also, props for being amazing on a device you have just picked up!!
To be fair I did have the Live in 2018 for about a month making some really simple sample chops on it but I didn't really get it. With this session I sat down and watched a ton of tutorials and even read the manual a bit. This track helped me understand a lot of what makes MPCs special.
Damn that waldorf is evil, you're awesome Jon! Love your beats, love your raps. Please keep making this stuff
That was very inspiring. More MPC please.
Just got off my live 2 retro. This is surprising Gareth....welcome back to the mpc gang for however long.
MPC gaaaaaang! Fire as always. You mentioned that the octatrak workflow is similar for you, and I just wanted to say that a lot of the science you drop in previous videos translates really well to me as a MPC user. Thanks Elwood!
That's great. The looper on the MPC is where they stored all the magic
YESS! MORE MPC !!!
Dope music 🔥🔥🔥 love how you said it was the same workflow as you do on the octatrack.
Thanks man. I think the biggest change for me is how much less accessible it is to change and edit notation once you've performed it. It's just not intuitive (at least in 2.0) with the touch screen and jog wheel. The Elektron stuff it's all so immediate. But yeah the chop and sequence and then loop audio on top can be done and that's my bread and butter. Fun machine!
Your videos have been a huge inspiration and I use an MPC One so this is PERFECT we need MORE MPC videos
would love to see more MPC vids, sp vids, really any hardware sampler vids... Thanks for all you do!!
thanks for watching
Honestly, seeing you enjoy the process is the heart and soul of this channel
Thanks Hong
Played the beat to my girl and she loved it. “It’s plinky plonky”, she said. I agree. Super nice.
Yes, more MPC stuff. Pls and thx
YES!!! More MPC stuff please!
just watched your video on why more musicians need to create more content. And at first I was thinking “Yea..I get it.”. But watching one of your beatmaking videos made me say “Oooooohhhh…noooooowww I get it!”. We need more people sharing their process because it fuels inspiration and keeps all the gears turning. The process of electronic music making is so deep yet very simple. So seeing other people go through their process in their own ways is a great way to pull yourself from a brain fart moment or learn new techniques without a specific tutorial. Even seeing you make mistakes is refreshing because most people edit them out for the final product to shine. But these videos are what keeps the underground fire makers going!! I started making content a couple years ago and fell off because I wasn’t getting the response I thought I needed. And that’s where I f***ked up. I had the wrong mindset for WHY I was making the content. And I’ll be getting back on it ASAP. Thanks for the push.
Oh and the beat is dope af! 😂💪🏾
Thanks for watching!
More on the MPC🎉🎉🎉
More MPC One!!
Love this. Goes to show once again that it's not the machine but the person using it. Good job mick!
It has an outer space vibe to it. But it's cool and smooth like ice. I enjoyed it 💯💯💯 thank you jon
Been waiting for a jonwayne mpc video since I started watching this channel
Well damn
Dope stuff man, feeling the vibe!
Got to say, you seem to adapt amazingly quick to the modern MPC platform.
Once you've learned a bunch of machines you start to see where things should be
crazy good beat john
So so so great! Super inspired watching your workflow here. And that track! Really hope you do more content on the MPC and share your thoughts on it.
I might! thanks for watching
What a coincidence. My mpc one just came in today
Enjoy!
great video makes me want to create. this is my third time or so on the channel and I really like the vibes and straightforwardness
Welcome back! Here's to seeing you here a fourth time in the future
thanks for this one
MPC One! lets go Jon, Ive been waiting for this one since the 404MK2 stream. Definitely need more!
Might have to do more with 3.0
The MPC is soo easy compared to a lot of other boxes. Big touchscreen. I really am wondering if I'm gonna like the new upcoming software workflow.
the touchscreen is actually what I like least about it!
@@jonmakesbeats haha lol. you prefer the tiny screens that show almost nothing.
@@jonmakesbeatsseems a little dumb. The screen is great.
@@-The-Darkside mine is also unresponsive! Sometimes I have to push a part on the screen and it takes a few times before I hit the right place. I prefer buttons that you only have to hit once. I do have large fingers though!
Ayo peace G . I dig the styles you you bring. The energy but most importantly it looks like your having a fuckin blast and I haven't been on my mpC since 2016 and I'm picking up these frequencies my G. Im inspired . Peace and thank you.
amazing beat mate and yes, more mpc stuff please!
Echoing the sentiment! Let’s see more! This was super approachable for a newb like me!
Awesome. Glad you dug it
Yeah, lil more mpc would be fun! I appreciate your commitment to the single Instrument/FX/Sampler.
That came out tough! Nice work. Im an FL user, but I like that MPC workflow. Seems easy to learn. Keep going!
def wanna see more MPC one vids
Great!!!
Thanks
Yes, more MPC content!
🔥🔥🔥 we want more MPC action. 💪🏾
Keep coming with the MPC live content please.
yes yes more... love the flow and your process. killer beat
thanks for watching! more coming
Pretty cool. Nice to see some MPC stuff. I've been using my OP1Field to emulate tape on the last mile of my tracks. It adds flavor and a really nice way to speed up or slow something down without a huge tape machine.
Dope video and more MPC!!!!
yeahhh jon on the mpc
Would love to see more MPC jams.
Another nice one. Thanks for making my morning coffee experience complete
Thanks for watching!
Fantastic as always! Might we hope for a return of the 404 in the near future? Its always fresh to watch how you produce on different devices. When I use different machines I end up making different types of music. I think you a more consistent with the music despite using different machines. Thanks for the video!
I think that's true for me too. I made certain decisions here because I'm less familiar with it. If I learn it more it might be more homogenous
Gallop Racer in the background dope beat 🙌🏿
the goat of all horse racing game intros
🔥🔥🔥💯
awesome- more MPC stuff would be great
So good. Everytime I watch one of your beatmaking vids it G's me up to work on my own stuff ❤🔥
That's the idea!
Thanks for showing love to the MPC gang. It just goes to show, it's the man not the machine 😅.
Please can you do more MPC content 👊🏿
I'll have to do it again!
Yes. Would love to see more Octatrack stuff. Thanks Otis!
hahahah
yuhhhh more of the mpc would be great especially as someone who is trying to learn on it
let's GOOOOO!!!
I just got one a week ago - love it!
enjoy it!
This nice man. Great work.
More MPC videos please Mike, thanks
