@wizzdumb_610 I’m still working on files, many of which I couldn’t care less about. So, they’re ending up in their own folders. Nevertheless, I’ve gotten most of it done. I’m struggling with Phantasy Star Online at the moment. It was my favorite PSO title. Getting it to play seems to be a major issue since I have no servers to connect to. As much as I'd like to love this program I just can't for the main reason of scraping takes way too long and it's not Screenscraper's fault. I have a PAID Screenscraper account. I have 100 games in Neo Geo. Using EmuDeck it took like 30 minutes to scrape 100 titles. Using the Screenscraper app for Windows and going into my /roms/neogeo folder, it scraped the same 100 games in 1.5 minutes. The only problem is Emulation Station doesn't see any of this because it created 1 image and I guess Emulation Station wants to see 6 images. Another issue with that is it counts as 6 things downloaded from your overall limit for the day instead of just 1 image! The interface is horrible in Emulation Station for scraping as there is no direct option to pick Mix V2, no, instead it wants to download each of these images separately (3d box, wheel logo, media image, screenshot) taking up more hard drive space, in order to create one single image like Mix V2. On my handhelds there is a Screenscraper option to only scrape new games that don't have any new media in the past 15 days or so. So if I add 50 games to Neo Geo it will only scrape those 50 new games. Emulation Station on the other hand wants to redownload ALL the images all over again, or I can painstakingly scrape each individual game one by one. Or lets say I'm in the middle of scraping my large SNES collection of 700 games and get to #578 and I hear a storm coming so I have to shut down my computer and when I restart the scraping it goes back to scraping the FIRST game??! Who thought this was a good idea? It's terrible. Takes up way more space than necessary and takes up way more time too. I also tried to be slick and save some time by copying over videos I had already downloaded previously and Emulation Station doesn't see that so it just redownloads them all anyway! Any suggestions on how to speed things up? Also, when I first installed EmuDeck it did not create the rom folders inside folder Emulation. Nor would it launch Steam Rom manager. It just stood there. I figured out what the problem was and you have to DISABLE YOUR VPN to get this to work! Seriously??!

@@WagnersTechTalk Thank you for the prompt reply. You're the best! I figured out how to transfer previously scraped media on my own from say an Anbernic device or whatever: Put your gamelist.xml files in: drivename:\Users\Username\EmuDeck\EmulationStation-DE\ES-DE\gamelists You may have to enable SHOW HIDDEN FILES to see this directory. Put artwork and videos in: drivename:\Emulation\storage\downloaded_media ame_of_system\ folders: miximages (for your Mix v2 images or Mix v1) and videos (for your videos) You may have to create these 2 folders. Hi Ted, I understand it can be a bit overwhelming at first. I think if you're just starting with emulation, RetroBat is likely the easiest to get up and running on a Windows device. You still need to locate your own bios and rom (game) files, but the rest is a bit easier. For that reason, you might want to start with RetroBat here: wagnerstechtalk.com/retrobat . I've had many beginners comment that it was helpful to them and hope you find it helpful also.

Awesome! Is this less of a beta now (closer to final)? Also, how do you feel about this vs Retrobat? And is there a way to have both installed (used) and only need one set of bios and rom folders??
It's up to the developers to determine if it's out of beta. From my testing, it seemed very stable though. I've not tried sharing the bios and roms between both EmuDeck and RetroBat, but this may be possible.

John , on the select emulators page, why is Emulationstation listed as an emulator when it’s an overall frontend and what happens if you select Emulastiknststion, mame, and Retroarch to all install ?
I think the main reason is to avoid creating another collection in Steam for frontends (there are only two of them).
