Or if there are any differences in the game files that might cause issues between Linux/windows?
Finally pulled the trigger on a handheld gaming system after spending months deliberating, at first because i wanted to get a Steam Deck, then the OLED versión came out and as i was about to get that one, the original Ally dropped and put those foolish ambitions to rest.
Afterwards, while being torn between those two i heard the Ally was being upgrade so i had to wait some more lol. Bought the damn thing yesterday and now i am looking foward to it.
I see everyone isbswapping the SSD for a bigger one (obviously). Is it easy? And i mean with the BIOS updates and stuff
Linux is the only way to go with these. These companies need to be shipping these with Linux and funding these projects.
Hey eta prime can you show android operating system in raspberry pi 5? I wanted see android games if it runs good. Please eta prime can you show us
.
I got an ally x yesterday and I think there’s something wrong with it, when I go into the amd software app, it tells me my ram is only 937mhz. Is this normal
Now just put an AMD 300 chip in this and it's good to go for a few years!
Geezm, 3rd video in about as many days, i guess the ROG ALLY X platform has generated a TON of interest !!
Are apps wich where build for steam os also usable on bazzite
Would have bought ally but the screen is damn small and those bezels are gigantic and ugly .
Please! Make a gaming performance comparison between Bazzite os and Windows in a PC gaming rig. Pretty please!
Do I have to install the 780 drivers to use the 1xegpu with the Ally X ?
If only we could dual-boot windows and Steam OS on the Ally X.
Would it possible to install Emudeck for steam OS and retro games that way?
It will install, though I'm not sure how well it behaves outside of the Deck hardware.
@@theviniso Works perfectly fine, emudeck is an option in the bazzite portal when you first launch the system and will work just like on the steamdeck.
@HikariKnight actually ally fans lying 🤥 they said even steam updates will works normally on different devices who this can happen and the the drivers differents
@@HikariKnightHello hikari, Do you still hang out in CTT chat?
@@tanmaypanadi1414 when he does not stream late at night and i am not busy i tend to pop in. but i have been on vacation for 3 weeks with little internet access, i did pop in the other day though.
Thanks for the video. Been using Bazzite for a few months and having a few issues that you might be able to explain. I am getting the update icon but don't think it has been working. I have yet to see the xbox elite option. I was using Decky for TDP and didn't realize that you could do it with the double tap on armory crate now. I am on the ROG Ally Extreme original...is there a way to force update bazzite so I stop getting the message to update and seeing the same info most times? Thanks.
What the bazzite settings to get 1080p low 60?
Is it possible to dual boot bazzite & windows on ally x?
if i can get 48 to 60 fps i m more than happy, vrr works between this and battery life it's also great, it can go up to 120 vrr but it will dig in through that battery
I installed Bazzite on a AM3+ FX 8350 CPU and RX 580 8GB powered system and it runs amazingly well. Didnt have to do any additional tweaking whatsoever and the added benefit of superior Open GL drivers on Linux has improved all of my emulation experience on even such an ancient rig.
Bazzite is seriously the best OS for Linux newbs that just want to game and enjoy a decent desktop experience on the side.
Can you please make more content of this combo plss
But this thimg should work also on the original Rog Ally, right? if not,
,why?
You know what? I have a ROG Ally and my wife has a steam deck. But Windows sucks. Steam OS is a much better experience for gaming handhelds. Valve should just buyout Bazzite and make images for all the handhelds.
It's good that it's open source. They shouldn't buy them out, but just work with them
would i need to reinstall all my games if i install this?
Do we have fluid frame gen on baszite
I would definitely do this just because I’m sick of having to touch my screen and get fingerprints on it on my windows handhelds
You have armory create on the ally. You don't need the touchscreen there to start a game. You can also start the big picture mode with steam on windows.
Happy for the option. Personally I love my ally with windows on it. Using big box for my" console like" experience.
Ally X d pad reminds me of the toy kid game controllers with those big d pads. I cant stop thinking about it everytime i see one at best buy😂
How will you update the bios ?
Will this work on the Rog ally?
ETA, is Bazzite better than Chimera? It's been a long while since you last used Chimera...
I don't think it matters. both are Linux under the hood.
If you gotta do all that you might as well just get a steam deck oled
There is one important thing missing - a battery charging limiter.
Rewatch 3:38
Can you test out genshin impact ,Zenless zone zero and pal world on the ally x?
2 games I'm most curious about are dungeons of hinterberg and still wakes the deep !
I'm on the fence with bazzite, although I am very hopeful it will mature really nicely rather quickly. By the time the Ally 2 comes out hopefully this OS has been polished.
