When I first started my kibbe journey I instantly landed on soft gamine. But then I started to develop a little insecurity as time when on. And a touch of resistance as well. I actually watched you soft classic video a while back and was like... Maybe I am a soft classic too! Then I flip flopped around for a while unsure about anything. I've only just recently had my enthusiasm for the gamine family revived, and this video def added to that. Thank you!
I've recently found out that I'm a soft gamine and then found your channel through a more recent video. I've also always been told that I look like a teenager and much younger than my age, but it didn't bother me a lot. What did bother me was the fact that I was unable to pull off more sultry feminine styles. During 2022. I really experimented with style and tried out many different things. What I found was that the soft gamine lines of clothing suit me like a glove and these were the outfits that showed off my inner energy the most (lines of clothes suited better for other body types would either swallow me or look out of place). And in my marathon of soft gamine videos here on youtube, I came across this statement (soft gamine and theatrical romantics were compared): "If soft gamine dresses more in like a theatrical romantic, she will look childish, as if she borrowed clothes from her mom's closet. But once she starts wearing clothes that suit her body type, she looks normal and most like herself". Yes, we soft gamines (and gamines in general) do look younger than our actual age and that can create problems in certain aspects of our lives, but once we embrace that youthfulness, we shine brightly! 🌟 Btw, the outfits you showed in this video make you very vibrant compared to the outfits you showed in the video where you thought you were a soft classic.

Ahhhh this resonates with me so much, I’ve been in the rabbit hole and am getting typed for this and seasons. If I make a video I will absolutely link this one. You describe the energy and the fears so well.
I'd say to not focus too much on the face and hairstyles to determine your body type. I'm a FG with very round facial features and I look awful with very short hair and actually look better with shoulder to back length hair (once it's not blunt and the hair has movement) this is where essence plays a role, I have an ingenue gamine essence so I have to find that balance with both when selecting outfits. The kibbe system is excellent for understanding your body lines but essence plays a big role with regards to your actual style. You give off a classic romantic essence, maybe even some dramatic.

Thank you for showing maxi dress. As a hijabi I found out that the hardest part of having soft gamine body is to play with long modest dresses.
had to comment about buying clothes your size lol I relate to much. Since I got into kibbe I realized I bought a lot of tight clothing, particularly jeans. I had one pair of high waisted jeans that actually fit me perfectly but never wore them (and was so opposed to high waisted jeans based on physical discomfort). I decided to recently and loved it.
I've been exploring being soft gamine and a lot of the things you mentioned do resonate with me.

I think you are right about the hair too. Pixies would never work for me but I've always preferred to wear my hair around my face. And having my hair long has a very mermaid effect on me too
I think that's because gamines are what Hollywood archetypes as fantasy characters, think fairies and mermaids. those characters are often styled in gamine looks.
I think gamines can have an unbalanced look to their bodies and reflecting that imbalance in your style choices is what makes you look cohesive and put together. I totally see that in my personality too. Unlike you i rejected my female energy growing up and as an adult I'm either too soft or too hard. I have to work at creating a balance or I alienate people. Is that what you were getting at when you said you are e getting deep?
Just recently typed as a SG by Mirramstyle. Also did the full report including Essence and color typing. She saw Classic Essence in me, but the coloring was such a surprise. all my life I thought I was cool because I am on the fair skinned side. But after sending in 30 plus photos I was typed as Warm and Radiant. Nice surprise, though I feel all the clothing I have worn are too cool for me. I have never liked prints, Own only solids, nor high necks. I always wear V-necks to minimize my chest. So, gradually I will try a couple out to see how I feel.
Like you, I love my long hair. It has always been my signature look. Also, I have never liked wearing my hair back or even half up and I know that is a recommendation. Without going into detail, that stems from my childhood, therefore not feeling comfortable unless it is down.
You are a beautiful lady and the outfits you have shown wearing look absolutely wonderful on you! Class and great style.
I believe I'm a Soft Gamine. I am drawn to the same neck lines you are drawn to also. But i do look good in pixies. I do wear gloss. I do use platforms to give myself some hight and to keep the hemlines longs to make me look longer.
Interesting!! I am so confused about my kibbe lines...some have said Soft Dramatic but im just not tall...
Hi Amena. Me again. I knew that I would remember something after I hit "send", ha ha!! I have been wearing v-necks, sweetheart and square-necks. I have a diamond-shaped face with a pointed chin so I learnt that those are the best shapes for my face shape. Also , Imogen, (Ithink) said that your shoe shape should harmonize with the face shape. My face shape is similar to yours. Is this something that you consider also?

You and full face? :o First thought when I saw You - such a pretty and petite woman, she looks great in that hairstyle, probably because of her slim oval face. Sometimes people say weird things that can stuck in our minds for a long time, but is that mean that they are right? I don't think so.
Please may someone help me. I have done my kibbie test these are my results : 1E 2D 3A 4D 5C 6A 7D 8C 9E 10D 11E 12C 13D 14C 15C 16 C so it looks like I’m a soft classic but I’m 5ft tall so I can’t be.
I would say Theatrical Romantic. If you don't have majority C answers like 70%C answers you are probably not a classic.
You have petiteness, roundness with some sharpness and it seems you are pretty harmonious in your answers :)
Hi Ameena. You sound like me talking to myself. I thought that I was the only one who grew hips after child birth. Unfortunately my feet kept growing also. I liked your fat face comment because that's where I put weight on first also. I have never preferred crew necks or jewel necks. I wear those kind of tops as layering pieces only and then add a scarf on top. I do like turtlenecks though but mainly because I have always had deep wrinkles on my neck and I don't like my chest skin. I need to try more colour blocking. I guess you have explained why I like dresses and jumpsuits but they just don't look that best on me. Also another interesting concept is Dressing Your Truth and John Kitchener style essence types. I dont think you're soft gamine. I feel like you can wear any outfit and it wouldn't make you look too "child" like. Gamines look like a child playing dress up in certain outfits. also I wouldn't say you're small by watching you you look pretty tall and lean and regal.
Maybe theatrical romantic or soft classic.

I'm not sure why Nona is saying that SG's have long arms and legs. In Kibbe's system, which I've been studying intensely for 13 years, SG's have short arms and legs and small hands and feet. Gamines, which he doesn't acknowledge anymore, but I still think was a valid type or ID as he would call it, have long arms and legs with short hands and feet, and Flamboyant Gamines have long arms and legs with long hands and feet. My perception of you is that you are a Flamboyant Gamine with long arms and legs and long hands and feet. Your face also looks very Flamboyant Gamine to me. Your face and energy is more dramatic than doll-like. And, I think it's very telling that in every single outfit you chose to try on your beauty sixth sense led you to choose outfits that would definitely work for Flamboyant Gamines, but not at all for Soft Gamines. Even your jewelry choices are more Flamboyant Gamine than Soft Gamine. Please don't be upset with me for saying this if you're happy with your SG assessment. I just feel compelled to correct the mistake of SG's having long limbs when that is NOT in Kibbe's system and never was so that other people don't accidentally go down the wrong rabbit hole.

personally i think you're a pure dramatic wiring classic and ingenue essence and you don't have to be tall to be a dramatic or flamboyant natural it's more the effect you give off like sarah jessica parker is a flamboyant natural and she's not tall
I think you are TR.
Try out TR lines for yourself. I personally don't see SG for you and feel like all G lines do not look harmonious with and on you. Also I've also noticed that you naturally lean for TR lines, fabrics and elements with your clothes and those look very harmonious and beautiful.
(like waist emphasis, especially with long vertical lines, silk, regals, lace, draped materials, ornate hair)
And probably all that is why you can pull off long verticals, which is no-no for us SG 😉
P.S. Check out Laura Jade Stone and her style. She strikes me as TR too.

I see a long vertical line, instead of a short one. And honestly, seeing your other videos, your outfits look separated instead of harmonious with your frame and image. It would be best to be typed by Kibbe himself. She typed you wrong.
Yeah i also don’t see soft gamine outfits looks good in her, they look like she’s trying to fit into the outfit versus it being harmonious with her . Definitely get typed again

Soft gamine as the word say can look like a child playing dress up in certain outfits to me she looks adult and regal in all outfits.

She is not a soft gamine. She is pure or flamboyant. I see no soft flesh at all. The longer face and long limbs give me flamboyant gamine vibes

I thought so too! Her arms are long and lean and SGs like myself always feels like our arms are short and fleshy. We also tend to look too young for our age due to our cheeks structure. I see dramatic classic in her.

@@katkomics Gamines are probably the most diverse looking group in kibbe because the contrast can be anywhere. Maybe her fleshiness is in her legs and her structure in her torso. I am similar to her, my arms and the flesh in my arms are more muscular/dry and my hips and flesh in my thighs is lush. My torso and legs look completely mismatched, I have to accommodate my curve so, I'm an SG too.
