The soft natural looks seemed to flatter you the most. Although that red dress was my absolute favorite. It honestly could have worked for a couple different body types. The soft gamine styles were cute, but they didn't really work for you.

I agree that dress was amazing, and that's actually one of those dresses that would look great on both Soft Dramatic and Soft Natural. To me, there were two clear signs that she is actually a Natural: the makeup was too much on her and the dress looked very formal. Being a Soft Dramatic myself, I know that kind of makeup would look just right on me, and the dress would actually look slightly more casual. That's typical of any piece of clothing that SN and SD can share: an SN looks much more dressed up in it.

I’m a soft dramatic and that red dress had the shoulders but the rest is a bit iffy. It’s definitely better for soft naturals.

I have a similar cut dress (it's not a wrap dress but the sillhouette/cut is similar) and I bought it cause it looks kinda vintage like 1940's style.. and before I was scared of wearing long dresses... but now I like them better, I think that length really suits me (and others) it is feminin and has waist emphasis.. and well that cut... it makes me look thinner than I am! And Loepsie looks gorgeous in that red one!

I honestly feel like you only look short when one only sees your face... Your whole body looks rather long and tall.
I have to admit: I think I was wrong with saying you’re gamine. Your body does look more natural. Also your voice and your character seems more natural (honest, confident, uncomplicated) than gamine (childlike, cute).

Now that I’ve seen you in the different lines it is very clear you are some type of natural. Those gamine outfits didn’t stand out in any positive way like the natural outfits did. The high neck and tight fit looked a bit suffocating. You looked perfect in the long wide leg pants and that outfit is quintessential natural (meaning only flamboyant and soft naturals can pull it off so well). You should do another video trying on flamboyant and soft natural to see which is best. A main component of Kibbe is figuring out what you pull off like no one else can, and I believe with your natural body and ingenue face (similar Gigi hadid and Selena Gomez) you’ll be able to pull off a style that is super beautiful and unique.

  • @pixiemeg

I definitely prefer the "soft natural" look on you! I don't know anything about the Kibbe system, but I really like the long soft flowing lines of that silhouette on you. The "gamine" clothes looked nice on you, but a bit restrictive - I agree with what you said about the shapes being too small for you. The "dramatic" clothes, meanwhile, didn't suit your face or demeanor at all - the very bold, structured look on you felt almost "little girl playing dress up" to me.

I like your statements such as “I like myself, It looks better on me or for me, I like how it looks on me”. It demonstrates a strong personal character and what I like my granddaughters and young ladies to learn, rather than to follow defined styles and body types of others. It looks like you are happy and having fun when you demonstrate your many styles from vintage to casual, to current beautiful formal clothes and hair styles. Your strong character and ability to choose many lovely styles as you showed on the “Trying on All My Clothes” video makes your channel special.

I've already commented this, but I don't know if you saw it: I believe you're a Soft Natural. I think your bones are consistently long and wide, and your flesh is consistently soft (which led you to give yourself too many Yin answers). Also, I think your vertical line is moderate: I guessed your height approximately correctly. Your body type reminds me of Aishwarya Rai, especially the shape of your face. Also, I disagree with the opinion that your face is typically Gamine. What I see on your face is the same as the rest of your body: wide jaw line, wide cheekbones, wide nose, soft cheeks and lips, rounded eyes. In my opinion, that's also typical of Soft Natural. I think your face makes you think of Gamines because there's a doll-like roundness to your eyes and lips, but that can actually be the case for any type with lots of softness. I also wouldn't call you any type of Dramatic, because I don't see anything sharp or narrow on you.

@Milica I think she is a Flamboyant Gamine or maybe Gamine because her facial features are soft and she has sharp angles in her body. I'm Soft Natural and we look terrible when we make up the waterline, but Gamine types look stunning like that, just like her. Look at Audrey Hepburn and Penelope Cruz, they have similar facial features: long extremities, sharp bone structure, straight shape, large eyes, and wide but fleshy cheeks.
Soft Naturals have a blunt bone structure softened by a fleshy body type.
Compare Lucy to Aishwarya Rai, Laetitia Casta or Claudia Cardinale. And then to Audrey Hepburn, Twiggy or Penelope Cruz.

      @AnnaGirardini 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

I totally agree with your comment. As a soft gamine you have contrasting lines all together, even if you have more "softness" than a gamine. Gamines have interrupted/short lines. Her lines, thought, need space to breathe.

@@user-ul6cs1ln6q Her facial features aren't gamine at all. They are textbook SN with ingenue essence. Even before I saw her body I thought immedatly she has to be ingenue SN or SD. Gamine is strong opposing yang and yin elements in the different bodyparts itself (also the face). Lucys general frame is sharp yang with yin flesh on top in a harmonious way and not opposed. If you can wear eyeliner and waterline depends from so many aspects in the face like having hooded eyes or not and is not pure answerable with Kibbe ID.
Verified SN Goldie Hawn (with ingenue essence in my opinion) and verified SD Sofia Loreen can pull of eyeliner and waterline very well:

Penelope Cruz in her late 20s before operations had a way wider broad yang nose while having delicate yin bones in the overall face and only subtle roundness in her faces through the yin flesh (and she wasn't that round like today probably has subtle filler injections).

Before you started the Kibbe series, I thought you were soft natural! That was largely based on hairstyles that look good on you, like the tousled Brigitte Bardot looks. I could see where you would be soft gamine, but I think there’s a lot of overlap and confusion between SN and SG because they both have a mixture of yin and yang, leaning slightly toward yin. As for the face, I think soft naturals can easily have ingenue essence, like Selena Gomez. The outfits in this video confirm my original opinion. Soft natural lines look amazing on you :)

My favourite look on you was the soft dramatic jump-suit, accompanied by the sleek hair and bold red lipstick. The colour and tone of the red dress was perfect for you, but I think a less flowing fabric and cut would suit you better. The slightly messy soft natural hair took away from your lovely face. Softly full hair with clean lines, makes you look so put together.

After your previous video I thought gamine was the wrong track for you and seeing you in those outfits I feel confirmed that first thought. I'm soft natural and 5'7 height, and when I try on clothes that are gamine or very edgy I look like I'm in costume and it just feels off and I think it seemed the same for you. Being a soft natural is actually good, because you can add in elements of romantic or dramatic. I think that is why vintage feminine styling like you did for your Edwardian and recreate a picture videos suited you so well.

These two videos were fun and interesting, but honestly, I wouldn't spend a whole lot more time even thinking about it. As is apparent in the theory arena, it is so subjective that there is rarely a unanimous consensus. This goes for other theories as well, like color theory, season theory, etc. I believe we naturally gravitate towards certain styles and colors for a reason. I say just go with what makes you happy and comfortable (not just physically either), regardless of theories, and even regardless of current trends. The vintage dressing movement is going strong, as is history bounding and home sewing to meet individual tastes and interests. I love your channel, you are delightful! 💜

After I saw all your looks, I realised that the only ones that literally made me say in my mind "she looks breathtakingly beautiful in these" are the SN outfits. The wide-leg pants instantly make you look so much taller, like a supermodel! And that shirt dress is just like wooow. The red dress also looks very nice because I think it also works well with natural lines.
I like the idea of Kibbe trying to bring out your best with what body one already has instead of masking one's "shortcomings" in order to try create the "perfect" body (which I believe is hourglass). I found your illustrations very helpful, thanks a lot!

I agree with many of the other comments, soft natural definitely suited you the most. You also seemed most comfortable in those looks as well. This kibbe world is all new to me, I’m quite curious to explore my own type.

This was such a great exercise! The soft gamine/ingenue type essence does suit you but the clothing did feel a little *off*. Slightly too childish or non-congruent with your body. The soft natural didn't look bad but looked very unkept on you. People I think strongly identify with soft natural type really shines in these lines but on you it feels slightly too unstructured and unkept. I really loved the soft dramatic clothes on you. Very stunning and flattering to your figure in all 3 looks though I do agree with you that your essence and facial structure is softer than that.
As someone who has been trying to figure this stuff out on myself as well, I feel the struggle you're going through but I really appreciated how you broke down the characteristics of each type and gave examples of looks that really conveyed the type.

Oh my god, I didn't expect this being so confused. For me, my body type made perfectly sense, if I looked at the test or if I went more intituive with it. This is super interesting xD

I think you looked great in all the soft natural looks! :) I'm struggling to know what my kibbe type is too, I'm somewhere between soft gamine & just a gamine- I don't seem to be a typical version of either

  • @dreams4tears

this was so interesting! I hadn't heard of kibbe anything before. The first "soft gamine" looks were so strange. It could have been the short hair but the "soft gamine" looks seemed very alien on you.
I do quite like the "soft natural" those are very nora ephron. The soft dramatics were also interesting. Much bolder than I've seen from you. The sleek tugged back hair sat the most alien on you, i think. Between these three I'd guess you're mostly soft natural.
But now I def wanna figure out my body type. This seems like it'd be a very helpful exercise for someone doing character work, whether it be writing or film or something. off to do research! Thank you for introducing me to this!

The soft natural looks reminded me a lot of your "stealing Brigitte Bardot's style" vid... I think if someone were to see you in the styles you put together for soft natural and soft dramatic, they would not think you were shorter than your are, and the emphasis on the vertical line suits you very well. The soft dramatic looks tied in well with your dark hair and red lipstick, reminded me a lot of Eva Green in Casino Royal! One of the most useful tips I ever came across was to dress to one's contrast, value and colour, as described on Imogen Lamport's Inside Out Style blog. She always cautions that these things are pointers to good optical illusions, but one should also dress to one's personality ;-)

I love that you listened to the responses from people and didnt let the controversy / contradictory opinions get to you. I think its important to remember none of these people have seen you in person. And the way people look on camera isn't always true to life! People think Rihanna is petite but she's actually above average height! People think Beyonce is a tall power house, but she's very tiny. You get the point!

I think the contrast and colors of the soft dramatic do not suit you. It makes you look harsh. The soft natural looked more harmonious with your coloring and body type.

I think we are very similar, but I’ve never done (or heard of) Kibbe until now. I’m 5’8,” and look lean and long, just like my mom, but where she looks amazing in soft natural and dramatic looks, I think I naturally gravitate towards soft gamine because I love the cuteness of it. You looked great in every outfit, but this made me realize that we aren’t always the best at seeing ourselves objectively while wearing something. You looked especially amazing in the yellow linen pants look and red dress, but I seriously loved them all, and think a big thing is how you personally feel wearing something in the moment. I think I might branch out and try some soft natural looks myself!

This was so interesting! I actually had the same Soft Gamine/Soft Natural debate. Except I'm 5'5" so I didn't have a firm reason I **couldn't** be gamine. I realized after a while that I had very much soft natural lines in my body...pushing flamboyant natural, but just a very clear Ingenue essence that had made it difficult to type myself! I've always thought your style was amazing and that the looks translated well into my style and that matching Kibbe type may be part of why!

I found your videos while looking for historical hairstyles, and have been enjoying them a lot! I had never heard of this Kibbe thing, so went to look it up and took a test. Most of the questions made no sense to me! I would describe my body type in a very straightforward way, such as long torso, short legs, wide hips, etc. The descriptions they have are things like "small, very short...."-- how can my very short but very heavy legs be described as "small"-- but they don't fit any other descriptions given? Eeeeee.
Then the clothes they came up with for me were the exact opposite of what actually works for me, for example, peplums, which would do nothing but emphasize the width of my hips. Total craziness. Anyway, Loepsie, the point of my rant is that your ideas about fashion and about dressing the way that's right for you make way more sense to me than this Kibbe business does.
(BTW my photo comes from an old dance costume, which is what I most usually design.)

I descided to look threw Aly Arts pinterest board... looked threw all clothes recommended for the 13 bodytypes and then made my own pinwall and pinning all clothes I simply like and think look good on me. It doesn't help for figuring out what type I am, but it is a huge inspiration in finding out what style in clothes I want to wear and try out!

Well, after watching the video the only outfits that I remember vividly were the soft natural ones so I think (along with many comments) that you may have found your body type! Although from what you've said I'm surprised you didn't go for Flamboyant Gamine instead of Soft Dramatic. Anyways, tousled hair has always looked great on you from your oldest videos!

I am surprised no one has suggested flamboyant gamine, and I would be really curious to see you try those lines as compared to the soft gamine lines, which I agree were too small for you. I do think the natural and dramatic lines both looked good, and whatever type you may be, you look great in those styles, too. I think the "soft" part is what is tripping me up. I would like to see you try Dramatic, Flamboyant Natural and Flamboyant Gamine.
