Its great talking to him and getting his opinion on parts and how they affect the car. I still don't know much, but back when I really didn't know much he kept me from buying pointless things for the car. Kept it simple, and its gone the distance and more.

Drifting looks fun but expensive on tires. Do you run crappy used tires to drift?

Pretty much. I refuse to spend more than 15 bucks a tire for drifting. Keeps things a lot cheaper.

I've been sticking with redline 75-90, but they're all pretty good. The real secret imo is to change it frequently. I do it after every trackday.

Its a mixture of things and the sum add up to what you can see. One i have disconnected and removed the front swaybar. Two, I'm running the crappiest no name tires i could find, these were 205's and they were probably pumped to 50psi cold, and lastly I have a slightly modified steering knuckle for a little extra steering angle.

My older videos list what mods and what I had done to the car during the video. I started sliding the car stock and once I got comfortable I had a company in Japan called Cool-d modify a pair of knuckles and send them over.
If the car is straightening out, give it a harder clutch kick. I used to clutch kick the hell out of my car. Surprisingly I was going easy on my car during this video.... in my book that was easy. And if its gets to snappy on trasitions work on doing figure 8's and dont be afraid of using the handbrake. From there you'll get it. If you ever need any sliding advice I'm here for ya brotha.
PS, go find a place AWAY from peoples houses to practice, and make sure its smooth to learn in, or at least not too bumpy. The smoother it is the easier it'll be to learn. Stay away from poles and curbs, and all those things too. Bumpy lots will want to throw the car around and until you get it down on a smooth surface its just going to be that much harder to get started.
