A top down photo of floppy at the desk planning his eventual takeover of the world. A great desk for musicians, AND a great desk for Floppy Cat Bond villain's.
If only the racks were 3 units high to allow for API 500 gear. That's something I had to learn the hard way while building my own standing desk. Considering how much gear is available as 500-series modules now and how many pieces of gear you could cram into a still pretty small desk, that's a bit of a missed opportunity in my opinion. Otherwise a great product!
I don't think that Mark 'dad dancing' would have the desired effect of promoting the desks. Now if you featured Floppy using the desk as a cat lifting device, you're on to a winning formula! 😂
Hi guys, I'm about to buy this desk! Just a few more questions: 1.: Should I strictly stick to that maximum weight support or is it forgiving, when you push into the keys while playing? 2.: Is the piano tray moving while playing or does it stay in place quite well? 3.: Is there a cable manager for my screen cable etc? Thanks in advance!
My physician would love to see me at a standing desk. That said, the love vanishes, when it comes to paying for it, I'm afraid. I'd also like to see the rack space at an angle and optional speaker stands. Else, I'm sure it's a very fine product, but almost 1000€, are almost 1000€ and almost 1000€.
No EU store offer? Having spent the last three years building my own house, I can safely say it would now take me less than half an hour to read the manual and put that thing together. I just wish those skills would somehow transfer to my music making
I blame any "Yoof" construction issues on not growing up with LEGO, Meccano, & Airfix models + of course the tricky MFI flat-pack TV corner units. I'm sure this is why people of Mark's & my age get asked to step in to play "work dad" or "neighbour dad" so often. 😀 We don't mind though - as we do appreciate getting to still feel worthwhile, alongside being able to have a laugh &/or moan at your expense ;-)
Hello There! Im a designer & producer. I'm doubting to by buy this desk. Maybe as combo: Office & Studio desk.... BUT .....My question is ... The keyboard-piano holder: Does it go back enough to make it comfortable to type on your laptop/keyboard" in an ergonomic position" on The Second level. It seems quite high where the the laptop is standing. Or I'm I wrong? Thanks!
Thanks a lot for the video ! Great review. I have a quick question : Do you know if it is possible by any way to lock the tray when playing the keyboard, to unsure it won't move?
Thanks for your question! As far as I know it’s not possible to lock the tray. If you send flexispot a message via whir website they’ll let you know for sure, they’re very good like that 😎
Hi, was wondering if you could help me with some info. I would like to purchase this desk but not sure if it would fit my Keyboard. I have the Komplete Kontrol S88 from Native Instruments. The dimensions are Width: 1353mm; Height: 120mm; Depth: 347mm. I am worried about the Width (1353mm) that it might not fit? Would you be so kind and check that for me? Thanks and greeting from Toronto.
I got one and it was missing parts and broken when shipped. I got a replacement and the assembly went way more smoothly. However after 2 days, it’s makes a consistent rumble noises going down. I don’t know why this is
Does the stand & keyboard shelf wobble at the upper standing height? Do they do this keyboard wooden section with x4 motorized legs using the flexispot E2Q or E7Q legs system?
9 cats weight capacity seems oddly low to trust with precious studio gear. Let’s see some stability testing? Perhaps someone playing harder velos on a fully weighted hammer action keyboard at max height as many producers will want to do i imagine. Also knee room would be a huge concern for me with this design. Deskhaus makes better frames IMO. More expensive tho
Standing desks are a life saver, or at the very least a back saver for those of us that spend long hours at a desk!

Mark should've been wearing a flat cap saying "I really don't think you wanted to do that" (80s reference!)
Wish I knew this earlier!
Ooh well, I finished my own custom desks a few days ago. This would have been a lot cheaper tho hahaha.

We’ll see about that!

Thanks for this. Great review. Assembly all went well for me except for the keyboard tray which was a bit of a pain.
Yes, those sliding mechanisms can be really awkward! Glad you got there though 👍

Its about 600 now and I think thats a fair price
When they make one that can hold a mixing console I'll be interested. I also need more RUs.

how sturdy is it thought? for example, if you play the keyboard, does it wobble a lot or can it take it?
Seemed stable when we used it!
Was this an impromptu video... or did someone at PDP table a motion to make it..?
PDP...QVC... that rhymes.
How’s the wobble when it’s all the way up?
There really isn’t much at all - it’s super stable
All 2 leg standing desks are going to have wobble at max height. Use an APEX pro instead and DIY your setup (:

How stable is the desk when playing fortissimo on a heavy properly weighted portable digital piano on the keyboard tray?

UUUUhhh foreshadowing the MUM-6?
They were definitely sneak-peeked a few times in this video 😜😜😜
@@PresentDayProduction I thought I saw that!!!
maybe I missed it. Is this actual wood or MDF?
It’s actual wood veneered MDF
Any US release date?
I’m not sure… drop them an email or a message via their website, they’re super helpful!
Really need to get one of these
Does it wobble when playing hard on a weighted midi piano keyboard ?
No, it’s wobble-free!
Flop Cat Rocks !!!🤟

Oh sneaky early morning upload. I like it.
