Out of all the desk builds on YT that I've seen, this is the closest design to what I want in a desk. This is an outstanding desk in design and quality of work . I need to make a few changes to fit it where I need it but the center section width can be shorter for my Presonus 16.0.2. Drawers build into the lower sections are perfect. Great job! God bless your ministry.

@@TheGospelGuitarist Awesome! Thanks for the comment. This is the great thing about this design is you can make your own adjustments pretty easy. Let us know how it works out for you!

Awesome mate👍🖥 the first and only thing that stood out for me is the inner 2 legs. I would have stopped them from coming forward from the drawer cabinet. So when you're seated and moving from one rack (L) to the other (R), you wouldn't have to lift your feet over them.
I haven't taken ascetics or structural integrity into account here.
But your building skills are highly commendable.
    Top job🎸🥁🎸🎧🎙🎹🎛🎛👏👏👏

@@stephenprescott4441 Thanks! Yes those inner legs might could be eliminated. They are still set in from the leading edge so I haven’t found myself having to lift over them and I am 6’- 2”. A lot of the factory desk had the drawers all the way out to the edge and I definitely didn’t want them or the legs coming out that far for the reason you mention. A little hard to look in the drawers sometimes but I don’t put anything in there I need often. That’s where old charts, hard drives and session live.

This desk looks nearly perfect for my needs since I do a little bit of recording but mostly mixing and mastering. I currently have a make-shift Ikea desk which is on its last legs since I built it in 2017 and has been disassembled several times. My main thing just like you is I've been hunting for so long is my ultrawide monitor + space for my audio monitors angled at a nice direction to my head. Based on your speaker placement and monitor size this isn't much bigger than my current desk which I have in my bedroom. I also have Kali monitors haha. I don't have much money since there have been a few unfortunate circumstances in my life but this is nearly perfect for my needs. Thank you for the plans and, while I may need to save up a little bit, I will see if I can get something close to this with a carpenter since my last try at building a rack mount for my church was.... less than stellar but its still standing. God Bless you!

I hope you find the plans helpful! I’ve been using it for several months now it’s been working out really great. I haven’t really done much woodworking sense high school. Just measure twice cut once and take your time. Send us pics later.

I really liked this project, I just didn't really understand the measurement as I don't have much calculation with measurements in inches if you had it in centimeters but I'll see if I can do that.. thank you ..👍🏻

Glad you liked it. When you download the plans print them off. You can google an online measurement converter and write your sizes in. Hope that helps.

Yeah, MDF would be straight Manufacture Sheets where Ply can have some imperfections on the sheet depending on how many Ply's you go with. The Oak Accents look nice against the Black but also you could have gone another route and used ALL Melamine ...comes in lots of colors & Wood like Grain) & Just "Edge Band" it ( the raw edges..Iron on & Trim w/ Razor) plus Screw form Inside is the correct way, also they make these "Insert Nuts" which you drill not through but counter sink and they will be you anchor for a machine screw/bolt. Great Job!!! :) George

3/4" 4ft x 8ft purebond birch plywood is $83 per panel here in my area. The Purebond Red Oak Plywood 3/4" 4ft x 8ft is $89 per panel; How many panels would you reckon I needed? I see you mentioned 4 pcs of 3/4 x 8" x 8' and 3/4 x 10" x 8' but those measurements confuse me since they are only for the outer red oak layers, for the entire setup how many 4ft x 8ft panels would you say is needed?

I used 3 PCs of 3/4 x 4 x 8 birch plywood. The 3/4 x 8” x 8’ and the 10” wide PCs are solid oak not ply. The 10” wide pc is cut in half and used for both the upper outer sides. The 8” wide PCs are used on the legs at the bottom inside and out. I also used the 8” and rip to size for the leading edge accent. Hope that helps. Lay it all out measure twice and take your time. Let’s us know how it turns out.

It’s was nothing special, pick it up at Ace Hardware. I went with a flat black at first and had to go back with the glossy. I should have done that in the first place looks nicer and cleans better.
