A careless driver hit me while I was crossing the street. Then kept driving. I think he was trying to get away, but unfortunately for both of us, I got stuck under the car and he dragged me with him. I was awake. I remember looking at the wheels. I remember thinking I was going to die. I remember manoeuvring myself in such a way so I could try and slap to the hood of his car from underneath, to let him know I was under it. I passed out before he stopped. I was told others saw me under his car and forced him to stop. I needed emergency surgery, lasting 8 hours, to hold my spine back together since it nearly snapped off at the L3 vertebrae. I spent a month in the hospital in a trauma ward, and a few weeks at a rehab for spinal chord injuries. I was told I was incredibly lucky by everyone. Lucky to be alive. Lucky to have gotten a relatively easy trial where the insurance didn't try to fight me. Lucky to have gotten a good settlement. Lucky to be able to walk. Lucky that my face wasn't ruined. Lucky, lucky, lucky.
I will be in pain for the rest of my life, bc of the actions of that man. I will always have titanium inside of me, holding my spine together. I am terrified of cars. I hate going outside. I hate crossing the road, bc I'm so hyperaware now of how even if I do everything right, that means NOTHING, bc there's ppl out there who put others in danger. Every time I pass a car, I can't help but picture myself under it, wondering if I'd fit or if I'd have bounced off the windshield.
I hate when people joke about speeding, about being on their phone, about drunk driving, all of it. It's not funny. It is not just their life on the line. What happened to me wasn't rare at all. And I was "lucky". So many people should not be driving, at all. Seeing this guy make CONTENT off of being a careless driver is so deeply upsetting and insulting, bc it's just promoting this mindset that it's normal and it happens and it's not that serious. Driving is that serious, and thinking otherwise gets people hurt and it gets people killed.

Not old fashioned. Children should not be exposed to pornography. Adults can understand the difference between fantasy and reality. They can understand that porn is not a real depiction of sex. Children do not understand this, they don’t know what is acceptable or what consent is. A lot of porn plays with the idea of consent. It plays with a lot of taboos like underage and incest. Children do not have the capacity to understand the context. this is grooming.
