Not only did you get to enjoy a tasty New Zealand pie, but you also had the unexpected pleasure of meeting a future star resident of our esteemed penitentiary institution. Quite the cultural experience!
As an Aucklander I am sorry you witnessed the sad cases in our society that sadly don't seem to have anything better to do. Go the mighty Pies Cranberry chicken and camembert my favourite!
loved every single video you both made on your amazing ten months journey through our pie nation. we honestly love how u showcase us to the youtube world and always anticipated your next video. NZ will miss you but please come back one day much love from NZ Aotearoa xo
Wow you two are definitly into the Kiwi way of life finding a good pie shop and eating a really tasty pie, I call my self a 2 pie person, because a great pie just melts in your mouth just like the angus beef one you consumed at Levain bakery 10 out of ten guys for all you videos we will miss you when you finally depart New Zealand..
living overseas this is the hardest one to watch, my mouth is watering, I love pies so much, my fav is potatotop at the Drury bakery with an L&P... Mmmm!
@@Timetofly8888 I understand what you’re saying, and not all cases are the same, but my mother is a social worker, and these type of shit head kids have shit head parents.
Oh wow. Ellerslie. My local. I wish I had bumped into you guys. All the best on your next adventure. Sorry you experienced that encounter with that awful child. Love your positivity.
Well I'm full after watching that! I'm lucky if I can finish one pie but I enjoyed watching you try the pies in my area. I hope you are enjoying your new travels.. we'll miss you here in NZ!
I've been to the last bakery you went to plenty of times and the Beef cheek and Jalapeno pie they mentioned is awesome but everything through the entire shop is great, the rolls, pastries, pies, sausage rolls, donuts, breads are tops
Torbay bakery won the latest supreme pie award, in fact their pies have numerous awards, so has Mairangi bay bakery both on the shore, over the bridge. good luck 😢
When we visited New Zealand in January and February this year, I found the creamy chicken pie from The Fat Bastards Invercargill the best pie in NZ and was only $6.50
The one near the gas station an fruit veg shop with all the trees on other side of road an industrial area yes?> if so that pie shop is fcccckkkking sooooo gooooooood
lol I’m happy to see Muzzas still open still churning out Richardson Rds best pies I used to always get them in the 90s when the Mad butcher used to be on the corner of Whiteswan road ❤️🫶🏽
Have had a pie from all those places. Blue Rose and Levains...10 out of 10 (as Mado would say). Haven't been to Muzzas for years, back when they were in Mt Roskill...further up Richardson Road... the road I grew up on. Sorry about those little wet wipes you encountered in Ellerslie... which isn't dodgy btw. Very nice suburb.
Great video...Only thing that was missing from your pies is we quite often put a little tomato to sauce on top, still great without it but? A bit like what salt and pepper is on your dinner
Brilliant work guys!! I might be a bit biased… but Id say Aotearoa’s best pies are down here in the South Island. ‘World famous’ Sheffield Pies👌, Hope River Pies in Lyttelton🤤, The Fairlie Bakehouse🤠, and one of the greatest, the pork belly pie from the Greedy Cow in Tekapo😚🤌
Nice video guys! I must inform you however that you missed the ULTIMATE pie flavour at Blue Rose Cafe - you must return and sample the PALUSAMI pie (taro leaf cooked in coconut cream and onions, topped with some very rich and tasty corned beef)🔥🇼🇸 So good that we've banned it in our household! 🤣
BTW You want the best pie flavour in the country? Can't go past Farlie Pies salmon and bacon. Best pie hands down. You can find them somewhere in Mid Canterbury.... unfortunately they don't supply Auckland (probably still hurting over our Ranfurly shield win in '85 lol)
Sorry that you had to deal with that young kid. Unfortunately the few spoil it for the majority. So glad you visited Blue Rose Café but I think you were given the wrong pie. The Hangi pie has a wonderful taste of meat & veggies, not Mince. They have awesome goodies, cakes, etc. It's dangerous! All the Best to you both. 🥝🥧
Kia Ora guys I've been watching you guys for ages now even tho I'm from nz but so cool to see ppl enjoy the good things we have to offer 💯 but that little foul mouthed child probably would've gotten a wollop from his parents if they watching this I know I would 😂😂😂
I suspect the parents have a lot to do with why that kid is like that. He probably got the wallop all his life for nothing. The parents are the ones who need the wallop.
Great video guys. Nice that you come here from Ireland to sample our NZ pies. You made all of us Kiwis hungry for pies! Keep up the good work & welcome to NZ😊
Hey guys in regards to cars running their engines some modern models have the option of cooling down the engine so even if you turn off and take the key with you the engine still runs for a few minutes then shuts off automatically. If you guys goto wellington, try the Bakehouse in Stokes Valley... (The bakery round the back, not on the front) Best pies in NZ. Lots of crazy flavours

It's great they're now open on a Sunday from today, 10th November, 2024. Just enjoyed a Paua Turnover and Sausage Roll. Want a delicious steak and cheese pie, next time...
You should have been here about 45 years ago and tried a Mc Gregor's mutton pie from Palmerston ( south island) best ever, or a Laurenson's bakery mince pie in Dunedin.
Grey Lynn bakery creamy gourmet fish,Kelston best award winning pies, cheese , spinach & mushroom. You must try. Muzza pie's if it's the same owners. Or Bolton st, chick veg'n cheese or steak mushrooms & cheese @ bakery in new Lynn or Mahini bakery in Swanson, Potato Top, & chocolate fresh cream mud cake.
You have to try the pies out in glen innes point England it’s not in the main area town it’s going pass holland avenue just left of the roundabout you should see it the mince and cheese is so tasty I don’t think people know too much about it unless you live there
Had to laugh when you were trying to rate the suburbs. Muzzas is in the most prestigious suburb of those you visited, some of the mist expensive real estate in Auckland across the road on the slopes of Mt Albert.
Aucklander here. So sorry you had to encounter that young disrespectful boy. You didnt deserve that. Unfortunately there are a few children who arent around the best influence or rolemodels. Also it seems they gave you the wrong pie. They gave you a mince pie. Not the hangi one at blue rose. You should go back and try it and the pumpkin one. Delicious. All the best with your adventures and traveling 😊
I’m a Kiwi and a pie lover. The first thing I buy when I get back to NZ after going overseas on holiday is a pie, if it’s not at the airport it’s the next day for lunch. We travel to experience different food and flavors but no one makes pies like we do…in my opinion. Lastly sorry you had that experience with one of our young idiots.
Levain in Lynnfield like the first guy said is very good, and agree with everyone else, that wasnt the hangi pie from blue rose. But i prefer their palusami pie though
I drive a red Holden Ute, and would pull up outside Muzza’s Pies, and a Steak and Bacon pie would be in a bag on the counter waiting for me when I walked in! Had to give them up (Doctors orders, over weight ) I’ll be back!
I think that was a cottage pie 👀🤣 the second pie the blue rose pie or wahtever it was ive had a hangi pie from there before and it did not look like that

I think they gave you the wrong pie the hangi pie doesn't have mince in it, the hangi pie has chunks of pork and pumpkin
Let’s be honest the guy/ girl had no idea. Just the hair touching
Absolutely the wrong pie, seems like a mince and cheese
Now the cuzzies have video proof they got the wrong pie bro go back get ya $$$ back and the right pie for free 😂

Yeah you wouldn’t expect mince in a hangi pie, should be chunks of poaka, potato and kumara, some greens☝️
